I used tire reviews as a bench mark against other tire premium tires suitable for my car.My current car is a 5 door Skoda hatch back that is a family car and not a fast high performance vehicle. To date Johnathan recommendation have never let me down
in tire choice to match tire to car type.I have always purchased premium brands and to-date have always been reasonably pleased with my choice.I would suggest that most European premium brand tire should be capable of providing good results on british roads keeping to national speed limits and driving with road conditions in mind.

I switched to the Crossclimate 2 from the OEM Primacy and while they aren’t as grippy (as expected) they do way better in the wet and I can drive spirited no matter the conditions with confidence. The efficiency hit wasn’t too bad and so far they’re finally starting to wear so I’m overall happy with it.

This tires came default on the 2024 Tesla Model 3 and are excellent for everyday driving. It has good comfort, quietness, and low rolling resistance, perfect for electric vehicle efficiency. However, for those who enjoy a brisker pace in wet conditions, it falls short of the confidence-inspiring grip and aquaplaning resistance found in the PS5. With approximately 5mm of tread remaining after traveling 10,000km, it should not have issue lasting 30,000 to 40,000km.

Overall a very good tire. Had zero issues with them except excessive wear. Mostly country road driving mixed with some highways from time to time. No spirited driving at all really, just according to speed limits.
All in all it is a good handling tire, safe in all conditions but after 18000km the tires are down to the wear indicator. At this point the tires feels very odd and not trustworthy. I will not buy hankook tires after this excessive wear and strange feeling at the end of tires life.

Update to my review above after having owned these tires for over a year. First off, I'm still impressed by the grip that these achieve for the price. Just a little bit of warmth in them and they are extremely sticky. With that in mind, after participating in an autosolo and putting a moderate heat cycle through them they are ever so slightly less grippy than when new. This is mainly noticeable on the rear wheels which seems just a little bit more willing to lose traction but nothing major. This is to be expected of any tire really, as they will harden and lose grip as they age.
Also, after a year of use, the front tires are cracking slightly within the tread which did show up on my MOT. This isn't necessarily the end of the tire as they still function perfectly, but it may cause future MOT fails is the perishing worsens. That's not exceptional lifetime for a tire but then these are budget semi-slicks so you shouldn't expect long lifetimes from them - especially if you're using them as intended.
Overall, grip is still what these tires were always about and they still have plenty of it.
As a side note, if you're interested in amateur motorsport such as autosolos please be aware most clubs don't permit the use of semi-slick tires. This unfortunately includes the accelera 651s along with yoko ado8, nankang ns2r/ar1 etc. It's a very annoying rule as it means that the only real way to enjoy the grip these tires provide is to spend hundreds on a track day.

The Tire is very grippy and I can surely rely on it in any conditions, these are winter tires, I went to a very mountanious place, where SUVs were struggling to go, my car is 2018 camry hybrid XLE, it didn't struggle a bit. Would highly recommend.

We had pirelli tires, they lasted about 32000miles. These tires which are premium allegedly have lasted 12 months and 11000 miles.
They are not fitted to a drift car, but a kia diesel estate driven to work and back. Not used like a track car obviously.
Also they handling is nowhere near comparable to the pirelli
A genuine disgrace the length of time they have lasted.

I do mostly short city trips, and a few longer 30+ km trips a month, with some 300+ km trips a few times a year.
Best: They are decently responsive, and wear seems very good.
They do "sing" a bit at 100+ km/h, but its nothing major.
They are lacking in snow and slush performance, but my only direct here comparrision are dual motors (AWD) with winter tires vs my SR+ (RWD).
Very sharp slip. Then they let go, they go. It always surprises you, and the TC saved me several times. It does not inspire confidence.

Whilst the overall road handling of the tire is acceptable and the road noise just tollerable, the increase of fuel consumption is off the planet which is at lease 15% more than conventional brand tires.

I got this Michelin Primacy 3st for my Camry 2005 here in the Philippines. Few hours after the installation, one of tire's shoulder waa damaged(not sure how) though it did not lose air. I questioned its durability as the rubber felt soft. I often get punctured on my Michelin tires. Other than that, the tires performed decent on dry and wet roads. It is not the quietest out there(Giticomfort F22 is a lot quieter) but it is good enough. It provides great road feedback. It sends almost every bump on my steering wheel(Hydraulic power steering, not EPS) which I find is both good and bad. Handling is also very good even though this is not built for sporty driving. Overall, I would recommend this is Primacy 4/4S isn't available in your area.

Vehicle - 2015 Volvo XC70 AWD D5 with a D5T5.com remap.
Average annual miles - 32 / 35k 70% of that is motorway, dual carriage way and fast A roads. When I do get onto B roads I do press on......yes you can hustle along 2 tonnes of wallowing volvo quite nicely.
These are my 3rd full set of Blacklions although now they have changed their name to Dynamo which to me sounds a bit naff!....but still the same great tire. Mine have a load rating index of 101 which is correct for the cars weight and how I load it, added advantage is it makes a stiffer tire also.
It came fitted with Pirelli tires when I bought the car, my long standing tire dealer offered me 30% discount to try the Blacklions as he'd just started to sell them and knew I'd give him straight talking feed-back.
Honest opinion, unless they cease manufacture, I'll not be changing the brand at all. They are excellent tires, their performance does not match their low price, it totally blows it out of the water. On my car they totally out-classed the previous Pirelli tires on all fronts.
I appreciate that the XC70 is AWD, however, I've really tried to get them to 'let go' and only succeeded in the wet and then the stability control took over.
They give great ride quality, not skittish over white lines, low road noise, long lasting - average of 35k for a set but I do change before the wear indicator so probably 38k ish.
I have driven on them over three European road trips including on the Autobahn and they didn't falter even during extended periods of high speed (110 +)
So in summary - don't be put-off by their name or the low price or a reference of a budget tire - They are far from it and are a very capable, safe and long lasting tire.
