Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tire tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

The Giti GitiSport S2 achieves a "satisfactory" overall rating due to its "satisfactory" performance in both driving safety and environmental performance. On dry roads, it offers adequate feedback but lacks precision, is sensitive to temperature, and exhibits unstable handling. Its braking is good. On wet roads, its braking is only satisfactory, below average compared to the test field. Its handling is nearly satisfactory, with low grip leading to understeer or oversteer and imprecise control. However, it performs well in aquaplaning. Its environmental performance is limited by below-average projected mileage and abrasion. It achieves a good score for fuel efficiency due to low fuel consumption, but the high weight results in an only satisfactory rating.
The Giti Sport S2 delivered good aquaplaning reserves and balanced driving dynamics with a low rolling resistance that helps with fuel efficiency. It performed adequately in most test categories without excelling in any particular area. Its downsides included mediocre lateral grip in wet conditions and restricted mileage of 31,080 kilometers, which affected its long-term value despite a mid-range price of €352. The tire's reasonable all-round performance without any dangerous weaknesses secured it a "satisfactory" overall rating.

Given 57% while driving a Toyota Wish (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 75,000 spirited miles
Fixed these tires on my Toyota Wish 1.8A. They started off being quiet tires and very responsive to the user's handling.

Around 7500 miles or 12000 kilometres, the tires started to become noisy upon reaching 60km or more. Also, I noticed that the tires started to go left and right. It has been a minor problem for now but I am not sure if it will get worse overtime. I have to counter sudden movement to prevent the car from swaying too much to one side.

The wear of the tires are still doing fine. Overall, in view of the safety and comfort of my passengers, I decided to switch these tires out.

For reference, the tires were running in a country with tropical rainforest climate and all summer season conditions like Malaysia.

Bought it less than 1 year running less than 30,000km and the tire treading left 30% , on dry and wet road handling is shit , when above 140km/h the tire feel like very swollen affect til the handling keep swerve left n right. Terrible tire i had , won’t recommend to buy . “Cheap item does not make it good item”

Given 88% while driving a Renault Grand Scenic (245/45 R20) on a combination of roads for 100 spirited miles
Very good tires at a very affordable price.
Comparing it with my previous Toyo Proxes SUV. Initial feel this Giti S2 SUV is better. EV ready tires is made for low noise, better low resistance and better grip.

Given 80% while driving a Volvo XC60 (255/40 R21) on mostly motorways for 600 spirited miles
I put these S2 on a Volvo xc60 to replace the original pzero
Have only driven about 7.000km on them. Primarily at hugh speed highway
The tires are very comfortable, extremely quiet (even withiut the foam inside like the Pirelli)and very precise on dry roads. Consumption seems better than on the original pirelli.
On wet roads it feels well balanced and secure. Only issue on cornering on wet and slippery roads the Tires lacks some grips and the vehicle understeers. But probably others would too.
Price they are OK, but thinking of trying the new Kumho next time. They seem great value for money

Given 50% while driving a Audi S5 (235/40 R19) on a combination of roads for 15,000 average miles
Been using this tire since October 2024, however during today balancing and Allignment check, 3pcs of the tire was bloated and unusable, need to replace new tire. Disappointed with Giti Tire. Defiantly will not buy again. Piece of junk product from China.

Given 79% while driving a Volkswagen Arteon 2,0L Tsi (245/40 R19) on mostly motorways for 15,876 average miles
Been using this tire for the past 1.5 years. Had to change it as the tires were making humming sounds. It started to get louder over time (towards the last 2 weeks of usage). Despite the tread life of each tires having at least 50% left to use, the humming sound was just too loud and kept increasing. I do perform tire rotations & balancing every 10,000km to ensure its even. Total mileage used 25550km (15876 miles). Since the pricing for these tires are so good, I decided to get them replaced with brand new S2's again.

These tires are amazing and the pricing just makes it an awesome deal. Its decently quiet, comfortable and has a great grip on both dry and wet. Its a perfect tire for daily commuting with spirited driving. Braking is excellent and the response/feel on the road is great. I recommend these tires and suggest you try these out and get a feel of it. In the Giti tire range, I would suggest you try their top range only (Sport S2 & Control P10), and if your tracking it would be (GTR3).

Youtube doesnt have much reviews on this tire, thus you would likely be searching on this website (like I have) in terms of reading reviews on this tire. Half the price of Goodyear F1A6 / Pilot Sport 5 / Conti Sport Contact 7, however the moment its fitted onto your vehicle, you will feel its as premium as these brands as well.

Great overall !

Given 18% while driving a Mazda MX5 2.0 SE (ND 2015 onwards) (205/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 5 spirited miles
These tires are not strong enough. At speeds above 160, the car floats on them. I move unpredictably during sharper turns. They betray in critical situations. I went 100 around a corner that I normally drive at 130 and the stabilization flashed.

This isn't something I've noticed when testing, are the tires brand new? Also I assume you've checked the pressures?
Given 94% while driving a Honda Civic 1.5T (235/40 R18) on mostly town for 1,000 average miles
This time on budget so decided to try it out. And it surprised me!! Dry road it grippy, wet road i dun feel slippery also. Previously using pz4 & ps5 both good tires. The only different i can feel is the braking not as good as ps5 for around 5% and rubber compound feel bit softer dun no is it their new technology AdvanZtech which made them more comfort & quite. Anyway no regret! After all it a good UHP tires with 320 treadwear too.

Given 91% while driving a Honda Odyssey JDM (245/40 R18) on a combination of roads for 2,000 spirited miles
Bought this for my Honda Odyssey. I love speed and cornering. For MPV, RB3 is a very suitable vehicle for me and my family. During my long distances traveling from South to North, West to East in peninsular Malaysia I think this tire performance (GITI SPORT S2) was very fun to drive. The dry and wet grip was good and predictable. Comfort was a lot better than the previous tire (MC6). My level of confidence increased immediately when using it at Karak highway. Road noise is also much better than MC6. It's hard to find a UHP tire with a level of quiet like Sport S2. Trust me. Also, the speed rating for this tire is Y, you can reach up to 300kmh!!! (if you have a big ball)

coming over from CSC7. what attracted me most about this tire were the sidewall designs, it looks way better than the csc7, almost close to a ps5 design. noticeably the noise is much lesser than csc7 and alot less bumpy. in terms of pricing, these giti sport s2 are half the price of a csc7. if you are someone who is in search of reviews for this tire brand/model, you are in the same shoes as me initially, but i decided on these tires because frankly the pricing seems its worth it.

pros:
-quieter & less bumpy than csc7
-sidewall design looks strikingly better
-excellent grip and engagement in the dry
-low priced

cons:
-have yet to try out on above 80km/h speeds on rainy/wet roads hence i cant give a review on wet surface
-due to its pricing, alot of people will shy away initially, as there isnt much reviews to back up this tire's performance

prior to using CSC7, i was using Goodyear F1A5 -> personally i would choose F1A5 over the GitiSport S2 as its much quieter & less bumpy. But for pricing sake, i wouldn't mind going with the S2 again for future change of tires.

very impressive after changed with this tire, much more better than stock tire with Dunlop maxx sport 050, handling good, very comfortable, silent as well as i can feel the fuel consumption getting slickly better too. Overall its a good rubber and it will give you surprise on your ride.
