Vredestein EU label data

25 of the 52 tires on record carry EU label data. These are the range's label headliners, using each tire's best available size figures.

A Best wet grip

8 tires reach EU wet grip class A. The highest scoring:

A Lowest rolling resistance

The most fuel efficient choice: 5 tires reach rolling resistance class A. The highest scoring:

68dB Quietest tires

The quietest tires in the range are labelled from 68 dB external noise:

Label values come from the EU EPREL database and vary by size - the figures here are each tire's best declared size. Wet grip and rolling resistance run from class A (best) to E; noise is the measured drive-by figure. A good label is a floor, not a verdict: the tests and rankings above tell you far more.

New Vredestein tires

The newest arrival in the range is the Vredestein Quatrac Pro 2. 3 tires have joined in the last two years:

New tires take time to earn a TR Score - tests have to be run and owner reviews have to arrive. A missing score is a data gap, not a verdict.

Vredestein Quatrac Pro 255-45-19 25,000 miles October 28, 2026

Been driving Vredestein Quatrac Pro XL 255/45/R19 on Audi A6 Allroad 3.0TDI C7 since 05/2024. Rear tires are good, low wear, but front tires are completely worn. During car tech exam just few days ago, I was told I should replace front tires as the inner section of both left and right tires were completely worn and slick. Wearing of the inner section of the tire might be related to the Audi quattro drivetrain (famous for it), but the fact is that this car is very heavy on the front.

On dry roads, tires are fine, I don't notice anything. This winter (2026), I had to drive up the hill on the motorway for few miles and it drove without any problems, was driving around 80-90km/h. Also, when the car got berried in snow (as it was parked next to the main road) in the moutainous region, after showelling a bit, I was able to get out with full grip. So, snow condition - awesome. However, wet condition is what really worries me and it's caused by the wear. I noticed that car tends to slip while starting if the wheel is turned. Also, last year during mild Winter on the wet road in the city, I almost had a crash as when I hit breaks, car just started sliding for 30-40 meters. Absolutely no idea how or why as this happened in the city center. Aquaplaning is good with these tires, they really bite into the water.

Also, tires are loud while driving, even though I have acoustic windshield and side glasses. I used to have Michelin CrossClimate and CrossClimate+ on the older car and they were really quiet.

I'm not going to order Vredestein tires again for this car. There are better tires on the market. They might be good for someone who goes to snow/icy areas a lot, but I just drive on dry and wet roads throughout the year, so they're not so good for me.

Vredestein Ultrac Pro 235-40-18 Ford Focus ST250 6,000 miles October 23, 2026

I've had them for two summers and about 10k kms on a Ford Focus ST250. When I was buying them I was looking for good tires at a fair price and these were the newest model available at the time.

Dry: In the dry they have good traction, predictable handlings and good comfort for a UHP tire. Breakaway is communicated well and they don't surprise you out of nowhere. Lift of oversteer is easily achieved and controlled. They do wheelspin a bit in first gear if you are a bit more enthusiastic with the throttle but that's expected on a more powerful fwd car.

Wet: They have good and predictable grip in the wet, good aquaplaning resistance and stop quite well.

Others: Rim guard is somewhere in the middle, not as big as Bridgestone but better than Hankook. Sidewall design is good, comfort and noise are good for a uhp tire. Wear has also been good for me, I expect to change them due to age and not wear but then again I don't do that many miles a year.

It's a tire I like and would recommend. Price to performance is good. Would consider buying. I got their Wintrac Pro Plus to try this winter so I've been satisfied with Vredesteins as a whole.

Vredestein Ultrac 205-55-16 Ford Focus 28,000 miles October 14, 2026

These tires have very good all round performance and for the price they’re definitely a good choice. For a normal every day use they have good dry and wet grip. I would accept a bit more directness and a bit more sporty handling, but on the other hand on the terrible Hungarian roads it has very good comfort levels.
Although a lot of people say it has high wear, my tires are in their third season, I’ve already put about 40-50.000 kms into them and still has 3-4 mm depth left, so the wear is much better than I expected considering that I have a habit to drive a bit more sporty.
If you are looking for a tire for a great price for regular use for a family car or a smaller city car with not high performance these are more than good enough!
I had Vredestein Sportrac 5 and Continental PremiumContact 6 before. The PC6 had the kinda same habit to be a bit more comfort oriented and less direct, while the Sportrac 5’s were very difficult to push to the limit they were like cemented to the ground, so from that point of view I liked the Sportracs more than the PC6.
The Ultracs are more closer to the PC6 in that perspective, they’re more like a comfortable all arounders with more than decent grip in dry or wet circumstances.

This is only an initial review of the tires since purchase and fitment, I will carry out a further review at a later date with more real driving experience and data.
The tires replaced a nearly new set of Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season primarily because I drive in Europe and needed the 3 peak accreditation.
The car is a heavy plug in hybrid 4x4 so the tires needed to be reinforced (104w), and my driving style in sporty driving..
Recent heavy rain has shown the tires to excel the OEM Pirelli and it has brought about a renewed wet weather confidence.
Dry weather handling appears to be equal to the the OEM Pirelli but I find the Vredestein just a tad softer in the corners, nothing unnerving or worrying but something I need to get use to..
Ignore my scores for snow and ice grip as they will be reassessed following a business trip over the French Alps and throughout Belgium and France in late November.
Noise and comfort, very noticeably quieter than the OEM Pirelli tire especially when in EV mode, comfort has improved probably due to slightly softer compound.
Rolling resistance, too soon to report on but after checking, the OEM Pirelli are B rated and the Vredestein are C rated for rolling resistance, so I may loose a percentage or two of range / fuel economy.
My overall thoughts, I will be honest and say I had never heard of Vredestein prior to my research for replacement all season tires to meet European winter tire standards and was a tad skeptical about changing from a world leading manufacturer Pirelli..
My first choice tire was the Pirelli Scorpion SF3 but I didn’t want the aggressive V shaped tread pattern, no real reason why just a visual preference..
Initial thoughts are they are a premium tire, wet weather driving has noticeably improved, dry weather needs more mileage and I may have to adjust my driving style a little to accommodate the slightly softer compound but nothing of any detriment.
Looking forward to seeing how they cope with proper European winter driving and possibly some snow.
One last thing, despite all the hype about the sidewall design, it looks a tad muted to me so should blend in with most cars without concern.
I will report back at the end of the year…

This is my second review of the tires. I got these tires last year and I felt confident driving in the wet even on mountainous roads in my small car. However, after the first rain of this season, I have had a few instances where I have lost traction or suffered from wheelspin. I am no longer feeling confident driving in these although they felt great last winter. Not sure whether this is due to the summer heat . I will be trying out a set of Dunlop Blue Response TG (although these are summer tires, they seem to handle wet roads well).

A set of two to replace two severely unevenly worn tires on the front axle. They were the first generation Quatrac Pro with 85,000 km. The Pro 2 is a huge difference compared to (fresh) Pros of the old generation. They are much quieter, all the vibrations and weird cornering noises are gone. The design seems completely new, I have high expectations of it and will post an update in a few thousand km.

Rankings combine independent test results with owner reviews submitted through this site, each naming the car, the tire, the size and the distance covered. Reviews are checked by hand before publication, and the page rebuilds automatically as new evidence arrives.

About the TR Score

The Tire Reviews Score rates each tire out of 10 using independent test results and the full body of owner reviews, weighted by how much evidence backs them.
