Passenger Car Summer Touring Tires Tire Review Highlights
Pace ALVENTI Pace — rated 96%
while driving a Jaguar XF S for 8000 miles
Have always bought continental sports for my car as its what it came with new. Every year since I have needed new tires, they wear fast and every MOT they failed with bulges in the wall. This year I bought Pace Alventis. They look great, handle the same if not better than the continental. They are super quiet on the mway, and 12 months later they still look new. Wet grip and winter ice not an issue handles great

Giti GitiComfort — rated 37%
while driving a Ford fusion hybrid for 7000 miles
Despite its name, this tire is absolutely uncomfortable. You can feel every irregularity on the road. It was very quiet during the first week; after that, however, it generates quite a bit of noise. Handling on wet surfaces is poor. Even with just a light drizzle-before the road is even truly wet-you immediately notice an increase in braking distance. You hit the brakes, and the ABS engages instantly, giving the sensation that the car isn't going to stop.
Every now and then, the tire shifts on the rim; this causes vibrations throughout the car and, consequently, puts strain on the suspension. As a result, I have to visit the garage to have the wheel removed and the tire reseated. And about a month later, the vibrations start all over again.
Before switching to the GiTi Comfort 225, I was driving on Continental PremiumContact 6 tires.
On the positive side, I can mention that you don't feel the road grooves or ruts.

Hankook Ventus Prime2 — rated 81%
while driving a Subaru XV Crosstrek for 46000 miles
This was the first set of tires I purchased with my own money, so I did a lot of research to find a dependable daily driver that balanced low rolling resistance with reliable wet grip. Overall, the Hankook Ventus Prime2 completely exceeded my expectations. They perform consistently well in both wet and dry weather, handling everyday commuting safely and smoothly. I understand that top-tier premium brands might offer slightly higher extreme performance limits, but for an everyday, real-world driver, the value for money here is unbeatable. Most impressively, after a massive 46,000 miles, they still have 3–4mm of tread depth remaining. While I have noticed a slight increase in braking distances recently, this is completely normal and expected wear for a tire that has covered this much distance. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional durability, safety, and fantastic cost-per-mile value.

Sumitomo BC100 — rated 39%
while driving a Fiat 500 for 1000 miles
Picked up these tires fitted to wheels second hand 205/40R17 direct replacement for my 195/50R16 set up on my Fiat 500 twin air S
Initially they felt good a little more of a harder ride and direction change improved, however when pushing hard into corners they understeer and when lifting to correct they transition to lift off over steer, very unpredictable and as such I'm looking to replace them as they wear out however they have only covered a few miles and based upon the hardness of the compound I think this is going to be quite a while, I'm not sure it they will improve as things go but give me way less confidence in the car when pressing on way worse than the 16" set up maybe the car is now over tired and might need to drop the width to 195/45R17 for the next set otherwise I'm looking to fit semi slick track tires as dry cornering is a priority for me I'm not really interested in high mileage but do need to bring back cornering confidence which was this cars forte

These cheap tires are very interesting, they are very good for me (I drive for about 30.000 km/year). They are a few noisy, but their behaviour is excellent in every condition (wet, dry, dirt road).

GT Radial Champiro FE1 — rated 68%
while driving a Honda Accord Tourer for 10000 miles
After less than four summers the tires show significant cracking on the sidewalls and treads. I have not driven much in rain since thay came with used car but overall quite ok tire in the dry. I don't have expererience in extreme situations so I cannot comment how the tire will perform on tougher situatuins. Feels ok in city driving and when driving calmly.

Giti Control P10 — rated 30%
while driving a BYD Seal EV AWD for 5000 miles
I have driven on these tires for about 3000 miles now. Keep in mind I have these fitted only on the rear axle. I have noticed a tendency to fishtail slightly during certain maneuver, which I never experienced with the continental ecocontact 6q I had before (which is not even a great tire). This, to me, is a dealbreaker. Noise level is noticeable, but I think still acceptable after 3000 miles. I have heard reports from people using these tires that they struggle to drive up a steep slope. I haven't experienced it as I drive mostly in the city, but that's another dealbreaker. In short, grip, both dry and wet, is not good. Buy them only if you don't drive spiritedly or are on a budget. If you do, there are much better but more expensive tires. They are more suitable for cars like MPV or minivan.

Lassa Greenways — rated 46%
while driving a Skoda Octavia for 35000 miles
Been driving them mostly on country roads and highways, for the amount of kilometers I've put in and for the price of the tires I would definitely not buy them again. Right now they go for about 50-60 euros a tire which for that amount of money you can get a tire of a completely different class.

Dry grip was alright, but the comfort was nowhere they were super noise especially at 120km/h+ you would need to scream to hear anyone else.
Wet grip was not there though, at 80km/h a lot of the corners the rear of the car would slip especially after two seasons of use.
Stopping distance for both dry and wet was awful as well.

For the wear, after around 55000km they still had some life in them, but micro cracks started to appear on the inner side near the rim.

Just switched them for Kumho HS52 and so far, the kumhos are a way better tire compared to the Lassa's while the kumhos are also cheaper by around 2 euros.

If any tire shop recommends the Lassa's as a "cheap" alternative just run away from there.

Grip is strong on dry and wet just as road feedback! Comfort and Noise are just ok.
