Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tire tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Given 10% while driving a Volkswagen (B8) 1.4 TSI (150 Hp) DSG ACT (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 15 miles
My rapid tires only lasted 15,000 miles tread ok but the walls crack and splits never buy again

Given 83% while driving a SEAT Altea (205/55 R16) on mostly motorways for 20,000 average miles
These tires have been on the back of my car for a year now and have covered 20,000 miles motorway and town driving. Apart from one puncture - screw, they have been no problem and hold pressure well. Handling wise, they are pretty good - I'm not a slow driver, nor am I a racing driver. They are relatively quiet and hold the road well in dry and wet conditions, never felt out of control. For a low end tire no complaints.

Given 77% while driving a Hyundai Avante (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 0 spirited miles
These tires were bought initially by reading reviews and it was the cost effective option i found. and im glad i did. these tires performed really well. Mostly on the dry, the grip of the tires are impeccable. I usually drive between 120 kmph to 180 kmph. The 180 did not feel much difference to driving 120. The tires were excellent and it was a great investment. I'll be buying them next again.

Given 80% while driving a Ford 05 Mondeo 185 (modded) diesel (225/45 R17) on mostly country roads for 14,000 average miles
I replaced a set of Goodyear's up front on my 1liter turbo Ecosport after 32000km. 30 000km later and the Rapids are halfway. I am very happy. Just replaced the back tires with 2 Rapids.

Given 86% while driving a Kia Motors Picanto (225/45 R17) on mostly town for 200 easy going miles
Not long fitted, put on a Picanto, driven by the misses, mostly shopping, all town driving and never driven above 40 - 50 mph. No complaints for what they were bought for

Given 70% while driving a Volvo Volvo T2 rdesign (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 2,000 spirited miles
Over all the tires are fine, heavy footed
However you will notice the understeer; as an x rally driver not an issue but would
Put you through a hedge in the wet, again
OK for a normal plod along.
