Michelin Alpin 6 rated 76% while driving a Toyota Auris
Driving on mostly town for 1000 easy going miles
When new, very nice tires. Comfortable ride.
However, just after 2 winters and 10kkm, ice grip was quite bad, car would just slip on ice. Compared to 5 yeras old hankook winter icept2 on other car, i felt a little disappointed with Michelins.

So i put these michelins on fairly early around 15th sept. and initially having only ever driven on shit tires before this the difference was night and day for a 65 profile winter tire they are Very communicative ofc nothing compared to a summer tire after absolutely thrashing them on very slick roads snow and ice all winter and spring they have gotten very worn around the edges and are starting to loose grip in corners and are squealling a LOT given the fact i bought these tires in 2024 with a DOT of 2016 they were in good condition when i bought them almost brand new essentially and they were not rotted cracked or anything of the sort in snow i've managed with some finesse to pull of sorcery with these tires they are very responsive and very communicative in the dry and slick conditions they are good but in snow they come alive i've plowed through snow as much as 40-50 cm deep i've gone into piles of snow at 120 kph and kept on going straight without issue i've gone on expeditions to save stuck people with these tires in very bad snowy conditions and they worked their magic But now after around 7k miles of absolutely thrashing them they are starting to both show their age AND wear ofc these tires have been driven as hard as a semi slick so that is not on the tire at all tread depth is quite good still its just that the rubber is finally starting to degrade and after all this now in hotter days of 20+ C you cannot get a good launch in you spin wheels quite a lot Amazing tire will defo buy the newer generations after this summer

Excellent on dry and wet, holding road like glued. No aquaplaning. Very satisfied. Silent tire. I would definitely buy them again. Way better than Contis, for a much affordable price.

I purchased these on price, as they were slightly cheaper than the Bridgestone Ecopia EP300 tires at the time.
Very disappointed.
Poor life, terrible wet handling and braking.
I replaced them with the aforementioned Bridgestone tires (similarly priced at the time of purchase).
No comparison, the Bridgestone tires lasted far longer (35%), and the grip and braking in wet conditions was markedly better.
So much so that I have just put the same Bridgestone tires on the vehicle for replacement after 60,000km and over three years later.
The Goodyear's aren't in the same league.

Same feedback, same comfort, same security - gripped and gripped and gripped on slush, snow, were happy on ice too.
Quiet, but squishy on wet.
Lasted for 9 years on same rims, but different cars with very low mileage.
Sold with ~4-5 mm still left.

It just gripped and gripped and gripped on slush, on snow, was happy on ice too.
Soft compound helped with comfort and noise.
On wet felt squishy and a particular sound was noticeable while on speed/acceleration. The sound stopped when gas pedal was released.
Upgraded later to WS80 and was not disappointed.

They are on my Kia Ceed 2016 1.6 GDI since brand new. The performance seems to be consistent by the years. (car kept in garage all its life and driven easy till i got it a year ago from my dad) Snow performence is not bad, but oh boy, dry and wet is something. For normal driving conditions it seems to be quite alright. If your driving pace is just about standard. I had several situations, when i had to brake or steer heavily and the response was not the best. Skidding and when breaking, the car just kept going while ABS was going crazy.
So average driving is pretty alright, but cautious driving is advised. Had different car with the same tire size and for example the Pirellis were much more predictable and better on hard brakes on dry and wet roads. Not getting them again. If you are on the budget and you know its weaknesses, it could be fine to get them.
tires had the same performance since new to this day (+-5,5 mm after 35k km of easy driving)

An exceptional tire for the price point at which it is found at.
The dry and wet grips are perfect for the pace at which I drive.
It give more confidence and I can take corners at slightly higher speeds than on some budget tires.
The comfort is pretty good and the noise levels are much better, compared to a winter tire.
I'd buy this tire again in a heartbeat.
