The tires are really good. The puncture resistance is great at the end of the tires life on an average every tire has nearly 2-3 punctures. I have also used them in multiple rural areas where there is a risk of tires being damaged but these tires outperformed. Now, i am using Advan db of the same tire size and in 6 months i got 6 punctures on 2 tires. The tread wear is quite good and the tires did not lose grip even at the end life.

Just a note that this is my initial thoughts, after less than 2.000 km driven in the Nordic countries, in winter, under extreme snow and ice. I have driven multiple vehicles with studded tires, in the arctic circle, under extreme snow and ice conditions. The vikingcontact 8 matches the performance of the studded tires i have used on the past, with superior handling in harsh winter conditions. I used them on a trip in Swedish lapland, in -25C and with severe ice on the road, and could go over 80 km/h with safety. They offer superior handling, makes you feel safe where most tires would struggle. I did the same trip with normal mid-european tires, and the difference in traction and handling is night and day. Great grip, amazing handling, good braking. Overall an amazing winter tire for the nordic area. Not tested in dry, as it's impossible to find a dry road in the arctic circle during winter time. I highly recommend them.

Used them all over Europe, plus the Nordic region. Very good in dry and wet. Decent grip and handling in little snow and slush conditions. But in the cold winters of Sweden and Norway, where snow and ice is the norm, a nordic winter tire is highly recommended. So after moving to Scandinavia, i had to replace them with the ContactViking 8, as the Michelin's ice and deep snow grip was non-existent. Overall, a very good tire for south-mid european winters, where rain and cold is the norm. Just avoid them if you are in a Nordic country, as the ice traction and handling is not enough.

The 3 reviews before me helped me choose these tires, which exceeded my expectations. They have an unbeatable price-quality ratio. Quite safe on dry and wet roads. Very good on snow and ice. A little weaker on slush and roads with a lot of water. They evacuate it more difficult. For the first 5000 miles, they convinced me. They are trusted tires.

I drive this tire for a year in all conditions. I didn't see any difference between kleber quadraxer 3 and my previous continental summer tires in wet and dry conditions. I see difference now in ice and snow condition when I compare it with real winter tire, but I'm very pleased how it performs, lot better than I expected. Yes, winter tire is better on snow and ice but this cleber tire is very close, I drive little bit more careful and there is no need to worry.

Put them on my kia at 280,000kms, now at 302,000kms and showing very little signs of wear with almost full tread depth still.
Do quite a bit of dirt road driving also and no problems at all.

I live at the Minnesota/Manitoba border where as I type this it’s 5 degrees fahrenheit. I’ve found this tire to be very well rounded. The dry grip is impressive and shocked me. I truly don’t want to take these off in the spring they felt so good in the 40/50 degree weather of our warm October. Practically zero noise, still can get upwards of 44mpg on the highway at around 65mph. But of course these are snow tires. The snow handling is probably as good as it gets. They feel like summer tires in the middle of July while driving through an inch of snow. Their true specialty imo is ice traction however. I’ve hit a couple icy intersections while making turns and I could feel the car start to lose control and skid, but it’s a controlled and slow motion sliding due to the rolling resistance of tires. It’s easy to correct the vehicle and get back on course. Perhaps Hakkas are a bit better on snow and ice, but these are a better tier overall. I’m sold on the VK line.

I'm getting 55k out of these before I retire them. They are comfy with great traction in deep snow and everything in between. I found something interesting about this tire size - the contact patch is 15% less than all other major competing tires at this size. Could explain my great fuel economy and winter traction. Also these tires saved me from a lapse in rationality...I ignored my low tire pressure light before going to work. Got to work fine & got home fine but measured PSI at home and the tire had FOUR PSI yes 4 PSI and I drove 80 miles on them that way. Might be due to the ARAMID sidewall structure? I'm not sure I ever want to buy another tire without the ARAMID sidewalls ever because of this. My tires say Made in USA on the sidewall. This is an excellent Tire for where I live, Michigan.

On the positive side the tire is very comfortable but unfortunately there is absolutely a lack of grip in both dry and wet conditions ! This black circle called a tire is an absolute nightmare and waste of money! In my 35 years of driving I have never had such a really bad tire !!! I won't be spending no more money on Vredestein tires !
