185/55 R15 Tire Review Highlights
Writing about the Tigar Winter 1 rated 38%
while driving a Fiat 500
Although sometimes Tigar tires are a decent budget purchases, this particular blend is problematic, since I was unable to notice any benefits of this tire, except the wear seems to be very low. It tends to track along road undulations made by trucks very heavily and has sudden loss of grip on low temperature surfaces, seemingly with no ice.
It seems to me like one of those compliance tires, made to fulfill the regulatory requirement for winter tires.

5 STARS

I had 4 grove tryes before buying these.
My car now does not vere to edge of road in wet conditions .
No more traction issues when accelerating from a standstill.
Excelent grip in wet .
They are the best tires I have ever put on my car.

Driving on mostly country roads for 30000 average miles
Driven for almost 1000 km on an Opel Karl. In this particular size and on this particular car they are noisy as hell between 40 and 60 km/h. It's almost as if you're on some kind of coarse 4x4 or agricultural vehicle. Other than that they are fine. In a road vehicle on regular roads I wasn't in any emergency which basically is the only time when you're going to notice the small differences there are between tires nowadays.

We are using this tire nearly 2 years. 20.000 km. 185/55/15

Dry grip: No problem
Wet Grip: No problem
Wear: Enough

This tire is soft. It has got Shinobi tech. Unbeliveable comfort. Noise is minimum level. I will buy for honda jazz again. If you are looking silince and comfort, this tire is best.

I have 185/55R15 on 6Jx15 rims. ( People should mention size of their rims as width does play a role. )

I have driven only 3-4k km in summer and I am planning on replacing them only because I did not get the right size tires for my liking. Not enough comfort. My previous tires were same size Nokian EcoWing and they were slightly more comfortable and less noisy inside the car.

Otherwise dry and wet handling is really good for normal driving. And can handle even some more spirited driving.

while driving a Mazda 2 1.5 sport
Driving on mostly country roads for 10000 average miles
These came on a Mazda2 I purchased second hand. The level of dry grip compared to other tires I've had on small cars was astounding. Roundabouts that would have tires squealing and under-steering at 60km/hr these sailed through at 80km/hr in full control. In the wet have full confidence in them, they seem resistent to aqua-planing and seem to have excellent grip after first rains following summer when roads can be particulatly slippery. Road noise is also excellent, only on coarse chip are they noisy, however it is an eco-car they're on. A real surprise, they are holding upto gravel roads quite well. I believe they are discontinued in the Australian market which is a shame as I'd buy again without hesitation.

Driving on a combination of roads for 2000 spirited miles
Truly awful tires. The car felt unstable at any speeds above 20mph. Motorway speed made the tires very unstable and the car literally wobbled. All tire pressures set to 32psi. Gave no confidence on handling.

Wet weather grip was no existent. Tires defeated by heavy rain resulted in aqua planing and subsequent spin out at 60mph. Genuinely scary tires.

Swapped to toyo tires and car transformed.

while driving a Renault Thalia 1.416V
Driving on a combination of roads for 13000 spirited miles
This was my second summer with this tire (20,000km/12.500 miles) and I am just trying to wear them out, so I can replace them. It was a dry summer, atypical for Hungary, so the inadequacies in the wet were not exposed too often. However, even a damp road causes embarrassing wheel-spin (only 72kW/98BHP) at traffic lights and squealing tires on familiar sharp corners, taken enthusiastically. No such problem with my all-season Hankook 4S2 tires, which are used only for winter. As an update, I can confirm that these are not great tires. With another 10000km, I wish they would wear out faster. I'll sell the car soon, with them still only half-worn. They are far from the worst tire but I am underwhelmed.

The worst tires ive ever had. They have made the car unstable in the dry and very dangerous in the wet to the point of spinning out in heavy rain.

Substituting the Michelin Crossclimate2 previously mounted, the benefits are very clear: less noise, more grip, super balanced, less rolling resistance.
The question marks are now the behavior in snow and ice, and the duration.

I was pleased with these tires until one needed to be replaced due to a tear in the sidewall. The tire fitter pointed out to me that all four had developed longitudinal cracks. This was on 3-year-old tires that had covered less than 20k.
