Very strong all-round grip, especially in the wet, with direct sporty steering, predictable handling and a high subjective wet score.
Loudest tire on test.
In second place was the new Bridgestone Potenza Sport Evo. Bridgestone say the Evo version of the Potenza Sport was designed to fix its two main drawbacks, which were high rolling resistance and pretty bad wear, especially on track, while retaining what we loved about the Potenza Sport, which was sharp handling and good grip in the dry and wet.

It seems like they have done that. I didn't get to do as many laps on the Sport Evo as I wanted to but my gut is telling me the track wear is significantly better than the Potenza Sport, Which was admittedly a very low bar.

As always I want to see more than just my test data to form a firm conclusion but in this test it was a very fun tire and had good grip, So it's showing a lot of promise as being a great enthusiast product.

The tire is competent across conditions but is limited by a high purchase price and slightly above-average rolling resistance, both of which affect overall cost efficiency.

The Bridgestone Potenza Sport Evo shares second place and is described in the article as showing the most dynamic driving behavior of all candidates on the gravel course, where it posted the fastest time. It also recorded the fastest dry handling lap with direct steering response and agile behavior across all surfaces. In the wet, it sits just behind the Hankook in handling and delivers good lateral grip with safe side guidance. The testers note two drawbacks: it is the most expensive tire in the test, and it recorded the highest rolling resistance.

Hope to see some tests and comparisons to the older potenza sport. Hopefully these don't melt on track?

I have run a test of the new EVO, which will be published in March. While I only had limited miles on the tire, it's track wear did seem to be improved, which was one of the big design goals for the Potenza Sport EVO.

Initial Impressions Review
Given 98% while driving a Renault Megane RS265 (235/40 R18) on for 1,000 miles
Done about 1000 miles now. Dry grip is fantastic, super sharp and responsive. Done alot of cold (3-5 degrees) wet driving at night and they've never missed a beat. No wheelspin or loss of grip.

They absorb potholes and speed bumps wonderfully. Paid £129.99 a corner from Asda tires, they were nearly £30 a corner cheaper than Michelin which my 19inch wheels are PS4S. I prefer the Bridgestones.

First time using Potenza sport Evo and coming from PS4S & Conti 7 the difference in sporty feel is incredible. I only use my car for weekend spirited driving and odd track day but generally change tires every year.

Initial Impressions Review
Given 90% while driving a Toyota GR86 (225/40 R18) on for 500 miles
Mounted on a Toyota GR86

Previous fits:
PS4 - Soft handling and safe overall, surprisingly low grip in the wet and cold
V107 - Sharp handling, great feedback, wear is on the higher side
F1SS (AO) - Tire fitter ordered the wrong tire, meant to be standard aftermarket F1SS, but AO spec was delivered and mounted. Audi OE spec seems to have ruined the tire for the GR86, terrible with the AO spec. Unmounted in 6 months (6 months too long). Car is nervous right out the gate, mid summer and only got worse as temperature drops

Initial impression:

Amazing wet grip even in the cold with road grit, amazing dry grip as expected.
Sharp steering, at least on par with V107!
Feedback on limit might be a bit lower than the Advan Sport V107 but it would well be down to colder temperature in early March still.

No my track day car, dedicated car on Advan A052. So will be mostly on fast road and commute use.
