Hankook Ventus Prime2

Put used, DOT16 Ventus Primes on my 2002 Renault Twingo 16v, went from 155/65R14 to 195/50R15, did like 500km on them and am super happy... Extremely soft tire, it's more comfortable than the 155/65R15's, the handling is superb, road feedback is amazing and the noise is actually mind-blowing at how quiet they are...

Bought them used for 60 eur, amazing condition with 6.5mm tread.

Average on pretty much everything. Wet grip, feedback, wear.

Driveable but did not really like them

Excellently tires for the daily driver and by far the quietest I've ever had on my car. Great handling and braking performance in the dry and the wet. I found these tires did not give great road feedback at standard pressure, likely due to the soft sidewalls but the trade-off was a very comfortable ride. Otherwise felt okay with higher pressures.
The only downside was the sides of the tires wore out fairly quickly due to the curved profile of the tread and they had to be replaced even though there was plenty of rubber left in the centers. Alignment was fine - got a wheel alignment done when the new replacement tires went on and there was no adjustment needed according to the report!

According to Hankook website these tires are usable for around 50000 miles and 7 to 8 years old. Unfortunately these tires were fitted as orriginal equipment to my golf reg oct 2017. Tires manufacture end August 2017. At 4 years old 22000 miles mot failed because perished. Sent rear tire back to Hankook under complaint as less than 50% worn. Their technical dep t rejected claim as it was over 4 years old and they therefore rejected claim. WARNING IF YOU DRIVE A LOW MILEAGE CAR BE VERY WARY ABOUT ABOUT FITTING Hangkook tires . High mileage cars are ok as they will be worn out before any fault shows.

Was surprised they wore out as quick as they did.

Not impressed. These tires were factory fitted and now have done 7500 miles from new on urban roads. No heavy braking or harsh acceleration.Always maintain correct recommended tire pressures.I took it for a service and first MOT test to the Skoda dealer where I purchased it new.They sent me a video report and pointed out serious crazing and cracks on tire walls and between tread wear bars.There was plenty of tread left (5mm) as one would expect from a 3 year old tire that has only run 7500 miles.I was asked if I wished to have them exchanged at my expense.Apart from my cynical view that the garage may of wanted to make a further sale from me I can assume that the technicians thought this was an abnormal condition and worthy of my attention although they conceded it wasn't an MOT failure but I should keep an eye on them.I will never willingly buy these tires and if I were to buy another top of the range model in future I shall ensure they are not fitted with Hankook tires. One tire damaged in this manner may be excuseable but all four is not!

With tire's that have only done 12000mls on my wife's eco sport fitted on her new car when delivered, the service plan has just failed them at MOT . The reason given was tread to side wall crazing on all tire's. Shorley they should last longer than this. Any idears ?

This was an OEM tire on my car for 4 years. I have expected some other premium brand on my new car for OEM tire but Hankook surprised me in a very positive way. This tire is problem-free in the dry grip. A little bit weak in the wet grip. Especially, when the green light appears on a wet road, tire immediately starts skidding and this confuses the DSG transmission and then DSG shift from 1 to 2 with a deep shake. This phenomenon was very unnoticeable at first 3 years but in last year this made me annoyed. No problem with the wear. Road feedback is decent. Handling is not sporty but fairly enough. However, comfort and noise topic turned me to look into another brand. Since my car is not famous for its sound insulation I went for a super-silent and comfy tire. Finally, this is a budget tire with a surprisingly good performance.

All around very good tire. Sometimes tends to struggle for grip on smooth asphalt surfaces during wet conditions.

Tires spin very easily, especially on a slight incline or in damp conditions. 12000 miles on these and have been very disappointed, new purchase is Michelin Primacy 4 and already enjoy the experience much more.

After 16.000 km low wear.Very good handling both dry and wet roads.The only negative is noise and consumption (maybe from high resistance).Next tire will be ventus prime 3.

Great tires

In the mountains on dry in the summer i coudnt make them to loose grip at all. Amazing grip on dri and wet. I have th RUNFLAT ones wich i think it counts on curves.

In many respects I cannot fault these tires, they were factory fitted to the Tuscon. But having completed just 12000 miles I'm appalled that the tread has all but gone and I've been advised to replace the rear (more tread and well within legal limits) as they are PERISHED! Yes, perished - they look like they've been on an old caravan for 30 years. 2 years old and 12ooo miles is unacceptable. No more Hankook for me, back to Michelin.

Bought these years ago to replace two front Michelin Primacy tires. After 15,000 miles daily commuting and lots of roundabouts the tires still have 3mm of tread left. The massive pro for these tires is the A rated wet handling, definitely a rating it lives upto as these tires give bucket loads of grip in the rain. I've driven in some appalling wet weather and they have never slid once, no ABS, no ESP lights or anything. The ride is pretty firm and the sidewalls hold up well when pushed. The only con is that Hankooks have shot up in price over time for this size which will probably make me look at alternatives when they're nearing replacement.
