Ford Focus MK3 Tire Review Highlights
Writing about the Continental AllSeasonContact 2 given 91% (205-55-16)
Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 average miles
To start off with a story - hardest snow test turned out to be a very steep hill up the mountain with up to 10 cm/4 inch deep snow/slush without any treatment, where even winter tires would no doubt struggled. After the first failed attempt I realized that the traction control was getting in the way. So I turned it off and let the AS2s grind their way up the hill no problem, heavy torqui engine in the front no doubt helped. Other than that I drove mostly on dry and wet roads and the handling/braking and overall experience was always excellent. I was little afraid of how will the all season tires cope with high summer temperatures (30°C+), but did not notice any change - just the same stable and predictable behavior. I have 205/55 R16 91H and can confirm that they are very quiet as well. After a year and over 10K miles/16K kilometers I can confirm that it was an excellent choice and tires still have plenty of life left in them. The reason I am writing the review now is because I just both a new pair of AS2s - since I unfortunatelly destroyed my left front tire on a sharp curb - my bad... I swapped the rear tires to the front, since they still have approximately 6 mm deep tread and put a new pair to the back. Very happy with my purchase.

Driving on a combination of roads for 15000 spirited miles
Having them already for more than 18000km (more than one and a half year) these tires perform very nicely.
On dry very well, lot more than average grip
Next generation could improve the braking (when the weather is hot). However they are not bad.
On wet the grip is good (can be improved on next generation). The driver has to be sure the tires have the best tire pressure. If they don't the grip will not be good on muddy-dusty parts of the road. If the tire's pressure is correct then they perform well.
Tested them on very cold (not freezing) to very hot (higher than 40C), they performed very well, on dry and wet.
Their shape and condition is still very nice despite the use and the time.
They can perform well (cautiously of course) even on sporty driving.
Even under heavy load their performance remains steady (tire pressure has to be right).
Next generation could be improved on the things mentioned above.
Overall they are above average -to excellent on dry, wet, cold, very warm, rain, braking and handling.
8,0 plus/10 clearly.
Of course if they keep up like this, they will be the first option again.

Driving on a combination of roads for 20000 easy going miles
Update after two years. I am delighted with these tires. Low fuel consumption, very good tread life...
I was pleasantly surprised with the snow grip (went through a snow blizzard). On highway speeds, low noise.
These tires are not for spirited drivers.

Driving on mostly town for 22000 average miles
The tires are great. They were bought in 2018. And in 2024 they are still in very good condition.
I recommend them over Hankook

Driving on a combination of roads for 12000 spirited miles
Up to now these tires are excellent overall.
The only bad thing noticed is where some parts of the road are dirty - muddy. Two - three times now grip was almost lost, not dangerously, but almost dangerous.

Driving on a combination of roads for 8000 average miles
This is my second review
After a year summer/winter
These are pretty good tires good in all aspects
Very comfortable and robust for bad roads & potholes .
These are not performance tire but touring so do not expect UHP.
As miles pileup will show how will last and be.
Until now satisfied with them.
Made in Japan is one of strong points because in market most tires are outscored its common now.

Driving on a combination of roads for 6000 spirited miles
After eight months and about 10000km (or more) Goodyear vector all season gen 3 are very nice. Very nice grip on wet, dry, hot and cold.

On very hot conditions and sport driving they performed really well (although it is still first year - less than 20000 km - not as well as 10-25C temperature - they are not made for sport driving).

Driving on a combination of roads for 50000 average miles
This tires last a lot. I had them for 85.000km and still going strong and I did not rotate them.
From time to time I had to check the alignment and that's it.
The originals Michelin Primacy Hp were very bad and they had to go after 85.000 km and after rotating them. at around 60.000km.
The last 20.000 were a pain.
Highly recommend them.

Driving on a combination of roads for 4000 spirited miles
After about six months of driving(very cold, rain, wet, dry, asphalt, dirt, even in very hot weather) with four-season Goodyear Vector, they appear to be very nice. Even in fast - sporty driving, the grip is satisfactory. Obviously, they are not excellent for completely sporty driving and cornering, but they are very nice. Driving so far is safe and steady. No weird noises or ABS activation.
However, it is still their first year and their first summer.

Still not tested on snow or ice.
Excellent or almost excellent grip overall.
Nice grip on cold weather.
Nice grip on wet.
Nice grip on dry.
Nice grip on very hot weather (still first summer).

Driving on a combination of roads for 10000 spirited miles
Dangerous steer and grip, while driving on highway, on wet.
Average on dry.
Average on snow.

Then changed the rim from 16'' to 17''. A lot better. But this shouldnt be happening, it was dangerous on 16'' wheels.

On 17'' the grip was a lot better compared to 16'' overall, but again not good enough.
A little better than average on wet (many times abs was activated).
A little better than average on dry.
Average on snow

After 25000 km on 225/45/17 some parts were torn apart.
Wouldnt buy them again.

Driving on a combination of roads for 4000 average miles
My initial Review on these tires Dunlop LM705/Lemans-V ( Asia Market )
Previous Dunlop tire experience was Blu response European tire.
Done (4K miles) They seem ok until now it's too early break in period " 4 months " wait until winter have a better option on them.
1. High comfortable tire low nose
2. Good dry breaking
3. Handling ok
4. At least Made in Japan
My next review will have allround feedback on Summer/Winter conditions.

Driving on a combination of roads for 6000 average miles
In terms of road feedback, steering precision and grip on dry & wet roads, these are definitely the best touring tires I've ever driven on! When finally losing and than regaining grip, it all goes progressive and predictable.
These elements contribute to a pleasant dynamic driving experience while feeling safe. Except for the aquaplaning behaviour, where the tires in my experience do not offer enough safety margin.
The big upside: the PC6 can be so fun to drive... the 5 % of the time that traffic conditions and speed limits allow me to drive really sporty.
The downside: the rest of the time, me and my passengers have to live with quite uncomfortable tires (noise and damping of road imperfections). Changing back from winter tires, it was really a huge positive difference in terms of sportiness and hugely negative in terms of comfort.
Because of the aquaplaining resistance, I will replace the tires at around 3 mm. Then the front tires will have lasted about 27.000 km. That is correct, but not great for an expensive tire.
Knowing what I know now, I would have offered some fun in favour of cost and comfort. I would have bought a tire like the Goodyear EGP2, that appears to offer a similar safety level for a better TCO and better environmental impact. But since the PC7 seems to have improved and to offer more or less the same driving pleasure, it still might be my next tire. We'll see.
