I got the Eagle F1 Sport as replacements for the Michelin PS4 tires which were on the car previously. The PS4 were good tires. Very comfortable with good grip. However, I did notice that the compound started to harden and the noise levels increased quite a bit more than normal. Since I was still satisfied with the overall performance of the tires, I had planned on getting the same tires as replacement. However, the prices for the PS4 had increased by a whopping 25%, post Covid. That is when I started to do some research on alternatives and came across the Eagle F1 Sport. The compound is slightly harder, so there is a small sacrifice to ride comfort. However, the big surprise was the feedback and the immediacy of the steering. It almost felt like driving a different car. The dry road grip is a lot higher and gives you the confidence to push the car more enthusiastically into the corners. I am a fairly cautious driver in the wet, so wet road grip has not been tested. Been using the tires for about 10,000 km and tread wear seems normal.

Writing about the Hankook Ventus S1 evo 3 given 73% (225-45-17-)

Bought these to replace the previous Hankook Ventus Prime 3 that had worn out. The initial impression were good until I took the car for a nice long drive out of town. The good points of the tires: relatively quite compared to Prime 3. Had good feel in wet conditions but I didn't go fast. Prime 3 was squirreling all over in the wet even when new - never had confidence in the wet.

I went on a trip was about +700kms all in. 1 week prior I had a similar prior trip with the Prime 3 and it allowed me to go right up to ~740kms without the fuel light showing up. When I took the same route with the S1 Evo3, I struggled to get it to 710kms with the fuel light glowing at around 705kms, this was with a slower pace with the new tires. When I drove with the Prime 3, I had qualms with flooring the pedal quite hard. So, it came as a surprise when the new set of S1 Evo3 didn't quite make the mark with gentle driving. I also found out that the 225/45/17 is quite a bit smaller that the Prime 3. It is about 1% smaller diameter. I also carried out a GPS test with a 100km/h speedo check and found that driving at 100km/h (as indicated on the speedo )only to find out that it was 93km/h on the GPS. This is no small margin - this is huge. it is a 7% error. I had noticed the Prime 3 with a 6% error on the speedo before, so it wasn't so bad, but 7% for the S1 Evo3 is not acceptable.

This is by far the most disappointing set of tires that I have ever used - disappointing that it is smaller in diameter, causes higher fuel consumption overall. With the prices of petrol ever increasing, it is better to give this tire a full miss. If you're thinking about it for daily use, don't. If you plan for other purposes, then by all means go ahead.

I switched from Michelin Primacy 3ST to the Pilot Sport 4 in 2019. The Primacy was a terrible tire in comparison. The compound was harder, so there was a lot more road noise. It also discourages spirited driving, as the screeching sound comes in way to early. The PS4 was so much better in terms of ride & handling. Most of my driving is a combination of higway & city. When I do find the right road, driving tends to be spirited. I am semi retired now so the annual mileage tends to be a lot lower in comparison. However, I was disappointed to see that after clocking slightly more than 20,000 km, the front tires needs to be changed. Thread wear seems to be quite high. Apart from that, I have noticed that the noise levels have increased from Year 3 onward. Apart from those 2 issues, I am happy with the tire. I am looking for a new set of PS4s now & realized that the prices have increased by more than 30%. No one can give me an exact answer as to the reason for the increase, but I am guessing that the pandemic and supply chain issues have played a role.

I am driving the Volkswagenfor the past few years and I wanted a tire with nice sidewalls, rim protective, wet braking and wet grip and also dry grip as a norm, of course we want a more silent tire but understanding all doesn't come together due to tire pattern, During the rain and wet road this is the tire I would recommend as I had the confidence to drive about nearly 170km/h cornering the highway on the wet roads. To be honest on my previously used tire that grip and confidence was not there as I would only do 105km/h but now is a totally different tire that matter. Michelin Pilot Sport 4 did give the confidence but not as nearly as the Good Year Eagle F1 Sport.

I am a tire enthusiastic person, if you are looking for a tire that matches Michelin pilot sport 5 specs than this is the tire. Advantages Sporty looks Wet grip is tremendous Dry grip is fantastic Noise level is lower compared to Michelin Primacy 4 and Kumho Ecsta PS31 which I had used More area in contact to the road(grip) Disadvantages May experience wear if driver is to harsh on the wheel Aquaplaning may occur

Totally disappointed with the UC6. Changed from F1D5 to UC6 knowing that it is not sporty as the F1D5. The MC6 is not available in this size and CC6 is known to perform badly in grip. Although there some mixed reviews on UC6 online, mostly are on the positive side. Initially everything seem OK on city driving. The ride was quiet & comfort, even-though the steering feedback is numb, which is still OK for me, I was not expecting the handling like the F1D5. However, things started to get worse as it went on highway. The UC6 rolling tire noise is noticeably loud. It was unbearably loud even at the speed of 90km/h on certain rough highway surface. I could not bear with the noise generated from the UC6 and changed to Eagle F1 Sport after 1 month of usage. I were using the CPC2 before the F1D5, never expected the UC6 to perform so badly. The Eagle F1 Sport performs as good as the F1D5. No complain.

The Hankook K125 tires replaced a set of Bridgestone RE003s. Initial impressions - really quite compared to the Bridgestone tires. Now after 9000miles, the road noise is similarly loud when compared to the Bridgestone but still better than the OE GY tires. Dry grip is really good (even when driving spiritedly), but when the surface is damp or wet, there is a lack of confidence in the tires. The feedback from the tires to the steering can become vague especially in the wet. It can go from talkative to a lack of feedback. You will need to slow down to get comfortable again. Wear rate is still good, but noticed that the tire can wear away really quick if the alignment is not sufficiently good enough. It took only about 100km from new to wear away the alignment marks on one of the tires due to a by the shop initially giving it a tad more toe on one side (but still inside specifications). By far, the Ventus Prime 3 is the most comfortable tires put on the car yet. It absolutely loves tire pressures that are around 28-32psi, and absolutely hates higher tire pressures. There is a tendency to bounce the occupants around if you even dare to inflate beyond 34psi. Was told by the tire shop, that this tire was suppose to help with the fuel economy when compared to the Bridgestone. Yes and no is an answer that I have. If you travel long distances (over 100kms in a single trip) then yes, fuel economy is realised. Otherwise, there is no differences.

I've fitted these tires now for the forth season. Firs 3 seasons they were great. In the dry - good as any other winter tire, wet - ok, stable enough so that you don't understear in every corner, snow grip was just excelant! I've driven them through a heavy snow storm, about 10-20cm of snow on the highway and no problems. The problems started this year, I've noticed problems with wet grip. I have to be verry careful how fast I come into a corner (especially if the toad is already old and slipary as it is) on a wet road, because the tires break lose verry fast and u end up understearing. Wear after about 25K km is verey good, in my opiniom. On front tires (now feeted on the back) I have a bit less than 6 mm of thread left and on the back tires (now on the front) I have about 6,5mm. Verry confortable tire, quiet, as a winter tire can be haha, and deals with bumps in the road verry well. Generaly verry good tires, but I won't buy them again because of the lack of wet grip. And another "problem" that I find is that I have to balance them every year when I fit them for the winter. That's probably because of the softer compond.
