Toyota Corolla Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Continental EcoContact 6 given 49% (205-55-16)
Driving on a combination of roads for 0 average miles
Continental Eco tire means 3% fuel save compared to Premium Contact, whereas the wet performance is 40-50% worse. I would not take this risk if the tire is not the default by the factory. The experience on wet road feels like the above numbers show.

Writing about the Michelin Primacy 5 given 100% (205-55-16)
Driving on a combination of roads for 5000 average miles
I bought Michelin-Primacy-5 tires and had them shipped from Italy for my new Corolla before it had 5,000 miles on it. Since I live in Missouri I have a set of snow tires mounted on a set of wheels that were the winter set for my previous Corolla and have one more winter left in them so I did not need all-season tires. I was surprised that the car could squeal the OEM all-season tires during hard acceleration and turning in the rain however now that the Michelin-Primacy-5 tires are mounted the car does not have enough power to break traction under full acceleration in a turn in the rain. I have seen the difference in budget vs premium tires depicted in tire reviews online but did not expect to be able to feel the difference myself.

Writing about the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 given 80% (205-55-16)
Driving on mostly motorways for 50 average miles
Average with aquaplaning, safe but I had better but also worse tires. Good but not very good braking on wet. Long lasting tire. Front one did 50k miles rear one 70k miles mostly motorway with max speed of 70-75 mph. Very good touring tires for fleet cars or taxi drivers. Extremely good value for money, expensive but last 2x longer then average tire.

Writing about the Falken EUROALL SEASON AS210 given 81% (205-55-16-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 50000 average miles
Bought 4 x Falken AS210 in September 2020. It's now April 2025, the tires have seen 50,000 miles of blacktop, been rotated twice per year and are now just under 3mm for all 4 tires.

These AS210s are a very decent tire for the type of car they would likely be fitted to, in this size at least. They cost me £61 each, which given their current mileage is really great value.

The sidewalls are quite high, so it's to be expected that they ride very comfortably. There's no tire roar from the aggressive tread pattern; quite the opposite - they're very quiet.

Grip in the wet and dry are equally confidence-inspiring. Despite pressing on in either of these weather conditions, I've not had any scary moments with loss of traction, understeer or oversteer. Just neutral handling whether driving on my own or with 5 people in the car.

These tires have seen plenty of snow. Never been in anything deeper than 6 inches. Never got stuck, either. Always a good amount of traction on offer in fresh snow whether starting or stopping.

Having said that, they do struggle to bite into polished/compacted snow. In these conditions it can make you yearn for a full winter tire.

So, the Falken AS210 is a tire I am way more impressed with than I expected to be. They've lasted a long time, been a fun tire to throw into corners on fast A&B roads or round roundabouts and have never failed to get me home in the hills of Lancashire when the roads have been covered in snow.

I thoroughly recommend them, especially if you need a tire to last a long time and be very good in all the weather conditions you'd see in the UK.

Driving on a combination of roads for 37282 spirited miles
Ive used this tire for 32 miles / 65KM and it was very good overall compared to my aggressive driving style with sharp maneuvering and high speeds on highways reaching 180km/hr, it was very good in dry asphalt conditions, good in wet with easy comfort driving supposedly we should be careful in wet conditions, very good in handling as the wear is very good as it lasted till 32 miles without cracking or tearing apart. However there are better model options from Hankook ventuse prime 3 ive used for the same milage that I highly recommend.

Driving on mostly motorways for 1000 average miles
Tire is very quiet and comfortable even on bumpy road. Dry and wet grip are both very good for a touring tires. Of course they are not UHP tires but even on a bit sportier ride tires feel safe. I don't know about wear yet, it's too early for that. I don't see any significant change in fuel consumption.

Driving on mostly motorways for 20000 easy going miles
It’s definitely a comfort-biased tire, an OE set on a Toyota Corolla. The wet grip is nice and especially the rolling resistance is good, with very little feedback from the steering. The wear isn’t great but it probably had a very low starting tread depth anyway, so I won’t buy it again as I think there are more longer-lasting touring tires out there that’ll provide a more engaging driving experience.

Was skeptical about this unheard of tire brand but decided to try. Nothing to lose as its cheap to buy. Was prepared to change them out if they don't meet my expectations. Handled like a dream and no regrets with the purchase. Cuts through water like a blade with acceptable high speed road holding. Will buy again.

I had these tires fitted on a second-hand car I recently purchased, and I must say they are the worst-performing tires I’ve ever encountered. The overall feel is stiff and plastic-like. Given they’re budget eco tires, I didn’t try push them beyond their intended performance range. That said, in dry conditions, they provide an acceptable level of grip, but the real trouble begins when the roads are wet. Using these tires in wet & cold conditions is literally a safety risk.

In such conditions, even at low speeds, below the speed limit, it isn't hard to break the tires' adhesion level to make them skid & slide. From a standstill, accelerating without any front load will have you struggling to get any form of decent grip. Trying to navigate a roundabout at ~30-35 km/h, with some weight transfer to the front axle via trail braking, causes significant understeer.

While I understand that my previous experiences are with touring/UHP category tires like the Continental UC6, Michelin Primacy 3, PS3, & PS4, the performance gap with the Radial RP28 was shockingly huge. I don't expect them to perform anything even close to touring tires, but I at least expect them to be safe. I am genuinely surprised tires like these are still allowed on the market, considering their abysmal performance in the wet & complete lack of emergency handling capability.

I've tried several brand and model. UC6 is quite matched with my driving style the most. It incredibly gives the feeling of confident and comfort. The noise is unbelievable quiet compared with its handling. And when compare the noise with my new Toyo C2S, i feel UC6 gives lower noise. The only complaint is that it is not long lasting. I personally don't like tire rotation. So, it can be used only 55k Km with my car. Anyway, I'll seek for it first for the next replacement.

Ever since I bought these tires, my car vibrates. No matter what I do, I can not get rid of the vibration. I have had them rebalanced, rotated, and rebalanced again. These tires are a good value, but not worth it . I'd rather spend the extra money for a better tires
