Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tire tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Top 3 Antares Ingens A1 Reviews

Given 90% while driving a Mazda 3 2.0 DISI (205/55 R16) on mostly town for 3,500 average miles
I purchased Antares ingens A1 last spring and really surprised how well they work. Solid in wet & dry conditions and been wearing very well. Should easily get 60k KM out of them. Pretty pleased for the amount of money I spent. Beats paying twice that for premium brands.

Given 36% while driving a Fiat Punto 1.2 8v (185/65 R14) on a combination of roads for 0 average miles
These tires are for dry tarmac roads. That's all you need to know. Ok, they are noisy, road feedback and wet grip are practically nonexistent, and their quality-price ratio is poor. Never again. The worst set of tires I've ever had - and I've driven over one million kilometres during 35 years.

Given 93% while driving a Toyota Corolla (200/55 R16) on a combination of roads for 30,000 average miles
I really can't explain why anyone would leave bad feedback for these tires. We paid $350 tax included + install for four of the 205/55/16 for our Corolla and were blown away by the value. After 35KM the tires barely looked like they were worn. They worked great on dry or wet roads, but took them off before the snow came so can't comment on that.
