Hi,
This is an update to the Aug-13 review on this website.
Overall Nexen N9000 is a GREAT tire & will match many premium brand, eg Brigestone Potenza RE-11.
Loudness: I find that they are NOT any worse compare to other premium-tires. As rubber ages, they ALL harden & the noise rises. Those who know 2011 Mazda3, it WILL show up ANY loud tires.
Wear: I fitted these to the FRONT wheels because FWD cars chew front tires. The rubber is perfect for Adelaide's mild weather: winter days are approx. 10 degree Celsius. They have 8 mm thread height when new & do wear well.
Buy again: YES. The reason being for the price ($AUD 135 each fitted & balanced or 17"), it is one of the best 'bang for buck' tire for mild weather climate.
Recently, I drove them on the Great Ocean Road & did it grip for a 3+ years old tires :-) We also drove on sealed country roads, both wet & dry. The air temp. range from 10 to 20 degree Celsius.
This review was based on spirited driving to the limit of adhesion of the tires.
I am looking for a replacement.....may be Achilles ATR Sport 2 ? & definitely NOT the version 1.
Thanks for reading.

Suitable for use on the road..but not on track. Wall too soft.. Dry grip is ok.. Wet grip terrible.. Hydroplaning is great.. Silent n comfortable tire.. Cheap price too..

Great tires. Forget the bad reviews by people with old hondas ect. Ive never known a tire to grip as well in the wet as the n9000. Ive been around a bit with many different car/tire combos, and again no tire has gripped as well in the wet. Dry grip is suberb as you would expect. Noise levels are low aswell. They may wear a bit quicker than premium brands but for the price, they cant be beaten. Mime were £52 a tire...basically a steal. Have used nexen for a while now, and will continue to do so...Pirelli who?...

I really questioned the motive of the guy who provided bad review of Nexen N9000 on this web site. I bought a pair for the FRONT-tires: 2010 Mazda3 hatch. And the verdict.....
* AWESOME & MORE-AWESOME. The the best value for money tires for road-use, 'only a few' aggressive cornerings, see my scores
* Similar to my previous Nitto-INVO, Toyo-R1R, Bridgestone-Adrenalin tires
* deep-wide grove really cut through the water
* tread pattern look great
* quiet tires: those who runs WIDE tires on Mazda3 know EXACTLY what I mean :-)
* softer sidewall compare to other performance-tires but @ 45psi & 40 profile, the difference is negligible
* paid $AUD 135 each with install & balanced, LOWEST price for it class
FYI, Adelaide temp. is 15 to 40 degree, no snow hence summer tires are good
