comfort level and noise level are great. Im not satisfied with wet grip, handling is bad, you are felling like you are wobbling in the turns, you are late with the turns. wearing is also bad, im driving mainly on highway but im not satisfied, also i have to replace it because the started to have bulging at the sides.

Fitment comes from each tire's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.
How long do tires last on the Volkswagen Passat?
Across 63 end of life reviews from Volkswagen Passat drivers, a typical set of tires was worn out after 20,000 miles. Half of all worn-out sets lasted between 11,000 miles and 30,000 miles.
Distances are self-reported by drivers whose review marked the set as worn out; figures are medians, so a single unusual report cannot move them.
Every tire reviewed on the Volkswagen Passat
The complete record, including discontinued tires and tires with too few reviews to rank, ordered by the amount of evidence. A further 175 tires have a single review each; they count toward the totals but are not listed.

What Volkswagen Passat drivers say
The most recent owner reviews from this car, in their own words.
I had Michelin primacy 4s before these Kumhos. The HS52 has very good dry grip. This is its strong point. The handling is good. But I would not call it comfortable. It feels hard when it hits a speed bumps or a pothole. It is noisy on the highway, of course it depends on how smooth the road is. But it is not quiet. It does feel stable on the highway though, feels quite planted and gives great confidence when driving.
I replaced these tires after just over 2 years and about 18,000 km. The rubber got hard. It loses grip easily on hard acceleration at low speeds. And the braking is greatly affected as well. Especially during sudden emergency braking. This is the main reason I replaced it even though it had plenty of tread. I live in a hot and dry climate, so may be this affects the longevity of the rubber. When I bought these tires they were not cheap at all, so I saved nothing going with Kumhos. I got them based on the great reviews I read. And the tires are good when new. But may be would age better in a different climate.
I replaced these Kumhos with continental untracontact tires. Which were on sale and were cheaper. The ultracontacts by comparison are quieter and much more comfortable. They absorbe the initial impact of hitting a speed bump and make it smoother. The grip is probably not as good as the Kumhos. I’m just sick of trying expensive tires that perform poorly in a couple of years. I choose the ultracontacts as they were on sale and continental is a reputable brand.
The Kumhos rubber compound getting hand after just 2 years is not great but I got similar things happening with Michelins as well. I would still buy them if they were cheap though. Knowing that I will need to replace them after 2 years.
The included photos show the tires after 2 years. The sidewalls look new but the tread does not look great even though it has plenty of depth.
the main reason that I don't like this tires is that under 6 degrees they are rubbish with poor grip , in UK where is wet and cold for 6 months this tire is a bit useless
Just wanted to give my review of my new-ish Bridgestone Ultraweather tires. For context, my car previously had the Continental ProContact TX, which came factory installed from VW. I live in New England, so I wanted to try some all-weather tires for the snow as the car is FWD. I have had all-weather tires before, with Michelin CC 2 on my previous Acura ILX.
So far, it's certainly softer than the Continental's the car came with. The handling does feel less precise / responsive, but not by much. On highway on-ramps, for example, it feels a little bit more floaty than before. My 2022 Passat isn't exactly the sharpest handling to begin with. In dry conditions, the car stops great, once again, way shorter than my previous tires. I'm not sure what metrics will show, but in real world, it's certainly improved for me. It also feels confident in wet conditions. It's only October and I got the tires in August, so I haven't had a chance to drive them in snow yet.
In comparison to the Michelin CC 2s, I would argue that the Ultraweathers are both more comfortable & quieter than the Michelin's. Handling wise, the Michelin's were a bit better, and it handled great in the snow. I'll update my review for these tires after my first snow, but no regrets to this point with the UltraWeather purchase. I was considering the Continental SecureContact AW before purchasing these, but I was a bit disappointed in the performance in the ProContacts that the car came with, hence why I decided not to. The Ultraweathers are also symmetrical, so easier rotations wherever I go. I've unfortunately had rotations done incorrectly with asymmetrical tires in the past.
The tires extensively wobbling at 120km/h. Sailun Europe lacking basic communication skills
This is one of the most impressive tires I have ever driven. Great!
Wobbling at speed 120km/h, contacted Sailun Europe, it was a time waste as responses came once per 2 weeks
Predictable tire, allround one with fantastic wear cost. Would definitely buy it again. My favorite on this car with Michelin.
I bought my car, a 2016 Passat, fitted with a new set of these tires. My first reaction was to change them as soon as I can because I never heard of this brand and didn't have much confidence in them but the guy at the tire shop convinced me to keep them for the first winter and try out how they perform. He said he has the same tires on his Nissan and for the price these are really good. And he was right. Before, on the cars I had, were fitted for winter Michelins or sub-brands as Kleber or BF Goodrich which are great tires, but these Fortune tires, which I never heard about before, are in some aspects even better, and this puzzles me. They offer comfort, quietness, good grip on both wet and dry and surprisingly never slipped on snowy or icy roads. I have to mention that my driving style is more comfort oriented, never push the car to the limit, so in these conditions the tires perform well.
Used in multiple road conditions and seasons, can't say I am really displeased about them, they are fine for the price, decent grip and pretty good fuel economy. During rain you can really estimate the limits of the tire and the car, however these tires are not suited for heavy winter weather, such as ice or snow, the tire, despite its tread, is struggling to find grip and getting the car rolling is quite a difficult task and at medium to low speeds, during said conditions, the car becomes unstable; didn't have enough courage to go faster as the car was feeling like a sled.
Overall they are pretty good if where you live it doesn't snow a lot, they can handle cold temperatures and rain completely fine and summer driving (you must pay attention to braking distances during summer as the tire becomes really soft), as long as you don't overplay your hand too much. Very good on fuel and cheap to buy.
The tires were mounted on a VW Passat B7 Variant 2.0TDI 103KW, 6-speed manual transmission, front wheel drive.

The Tire Reviews Score rates each tire out of 10 using independent test results and the full body of owner reviews, so you can check a car-specific ranking against the wider evidence.
Who does the testing
Every test published as a Tire Reviews test is run by Jonathan Benson, who has been testing tires independently since 2007.
