I really like these Nokian Encompass AW02s on my Subaru Legacy Touring XT. They handle as well or better and are much quieter than the Yokohamas that came on the car. I had no problem with 12in/30cm snowfalls and were better on ice than the Cross Climate 2s I had before. Too soon to tell about tire wear but I'll update that later.

Had all 4 tires from factory in loaded work van. Decent winter van tires especially in the cold wet conditions however in the dry and cornering, performance was below par. Understeer is common on Vans but these tires definitely did not help in that regard.

Subjective feel was not great but not the worst either and road noise was quite loud at low speed.

Wear was good as these have lasted 2 years at 32000 miles with the fronts now showing just below 3mm tread but considering the price of the tire (had to replace one due to slow puncture for £265 fitted), the value is good but not remarkable.

To be honest, I don't think I would buy these tires again as they're are better alternatives for the price.

Had the tires for about 6000km, although, I bought them as I bought the new car (Forester XT), so I couldn't compare it with the platform I already knew. Anyway, I've done about 3000km is some bad weather, snow, mountain passes, ice, and I couldn't believe how good the tires were! Yes, there is a new 4x4 beneath me, but even on slopes in deep snow when I tried to accelerate harder (playing to find the grip) the car just goes, didn't stop. On roundabouts cars in front of me were sliding (icy rain that night) but XT stayed planted (low speed of course). With nicer/hotter weather the rain came, and i was expecting a few (uphill) slips here and there (there are quite a few patches that are really steep and slippery concrete here) and the car was planted (I even stopped and continued at the middle of the slope to see how it would've coped, and it was like I was on level ground, not even TC kicked in, nothing). When I got the feel for the car I tried to push it couple of times just to try to see what's it like on the limit, and it's so hard to get any of the systems to activate (ABS, TC, a bit of slip). One time, since I come from 20 years of driving hot hatches, I did enter more aggressive into a long right hand turn during rain, and the back end stepped out but nicely, it wasn't snappy, totally controllable (I know it's not too much of a useful info for this type of car/application, but still). Either way, it can't all be down to the car, tires made the connection with the surface, and the smile on my face (surprise) was the same when I tried Super Sports fro the first time on my JCW more then 10 years ago. Anyway, now I'm thinking of buying Cinturatos for the summer!

These are my first winter tires (it's my first car) so I can't really compare them to other tires on this car. Tires are quite loud and on dry roads in higher speed corners they feel elastic, almost like the car is gliding latteraly. Fuel consumption is higher than on my summer tires (about half a liter more per 100km). After 3800km, wear is pretty good, still around 7mm of tire tread left. One specific thing I must praise them for is the snow grip. We had a lot of snow this year and grip was impeccable! They really make you feel secure and rarely loose traction. For the price they are great. Definitely would recommend them.

For it's price, this is probably the best tire I've had, alongside the nexen su4.
Dry grip is good, wet grip is superb. I've never lost the slightest bit of grip even in intense rain with massive puddles.

Moderately noise and bumpy.

I'm not a spirited driver but feedback and sportiness feels acceptable.

10k miles in still massive amount of tread.

100% worth a try. These tires are within 5% of performance from the last Michelin PS4 I've used

I’m coming from old Continental 830P winter tires and having new tires, even if they are budget tires, feels as a big improvement. On dry roads they are fantastic, the grip is very good. Recently I started driving them on snow covered roads, country roads and motorways. The only time I feel they are losing grip is when I floor it suddenly on wet or snow covered roads, but I’m used to this as the car is RWD. I drove them on snow covered motorway and I was able to change lanes without having the sensation that I’m losing grip. However, I do drive very cautiously. For me it’s better to change more often budget tires, than buying premium tires and keep them for longer. One the tire is getting old, no matter the brand it will loose grip. I would probably buy them again.

Severe fracturing & chunks missing from tires after 30k of highway travelling. Not normal wear & tear and needed replacement due to damage & unsafe condition. Noisy at highway speed.
Used on Vito van with light loads.

I have a set of these on my 2024 Subaru Legacy Touring XT. I am very pleased with the quiet and comfortable ride. The tires handle very well considering they are all weather tires and not UHP summer tires. We've had two snow events of 8 and then12 inches in the last two weeks. The second event today was the 12 incher which fell after heavy rain which froze solid when the temperature went down to -16C/3F. The tires have been excellent in the snow even when chewed up and rutted. They are pretty good on ice but not as good as a full winter tire as we might expect. Still I am very pleased with my decision to buy these.

Maybe in the future there could be a test of the European and North American versions of tires as most of the tests are of the European versions.

This is my first set of all-weather tires. My previous tires were the Michelin Primacy 4+. I am very surprised by the amount of grip they have in dry conditions; it is far superior to my Michelins. In the wet, they perform very well too. The tire noise is about 5–10% louder than the Michelins. The next thing is to test them in the snow.
