2025 Car and Driver All Weather Tire Test P5 of 5
Despite finishing last overall, the newest tire in the test, the $220 Nokian Remedy WRG5, offered two significant advantages: the best warranty (60,000 miles with no age limit) and strong performance in both dry conditions and snow. In winter testing, it worked as hard as the top-scoring tires to fight understeer and achieved the highest peak speed (63 mph) around the snowcross track. However, its wet performance was dismal - stopping distances were nearly 25 feet longer than the best performer, and it induced dangerous oversteer on the wet autocross and slalom. This poor wet-weather behavior overshadowed its strengths and ultimately cost it in the final rankings.

Initial impressions after driving on the tires (215/60R16 on an AWD 2016 Mazda CX-3) new for about 750 kilometers/little under 500 miles: compared to the previous value brand all-weather tires that came with the vehicle when I purchased it used a year and half ago, the vehicle feels much more planted. Grip in dry conditions feels greatly improved whether it's in a straight line getting up to speed from a stop, taking turns on city streets, accelerating to pass other vehicles at highway speeds or making decisive lane changes. Regarding the handling feeling greatly improved relative to the previous set of tires on the vehicle, in taking 360 degree exits or on ramps on/off highways - the Nokians exhibit much improved lateral grip allowing for a more confident approach at speed.
Given its the dry and warm season currently there's only been one or two small showers for the tires to handle but there's been no appreciable or noticeable difference in the performance or handling of the tires in the wet - tire grip and handling the turns of the road, the Nokians have inspired confident driving in wet and dry conditions.
This is also true for braking - stopping from both city and highway speeds with the tires has not been an issue and feedback while braking has been linear and predictable in the dry and the few occasions where the roads have been wet/damp.
Road noise has been perhaps a little louder than the previous set of tires but ride comfort regarding handling the bumps of the road has improved slightly. Fuel consumption is unchanged or negligibly worse sitting at around 8.8 L/100 km after a few trips to refuel while on the previous set of tires I would average 8.5-8.8 L/100 km.
So far, these tires have been excellent performers given their purchase price of around $150 USD/tire that I paid.

I have these as my winter set on a GTI in New England. In my initial impressions these have met my expectations for a winter focused an all-weather tire. They feel very close to a proper winter tire (good grip in cold and snow, but sacrifice some grip on wet roads) As a bonus, I have found the dry handling limits surprisingly high for what these are, at least enough to not be a hindrance if you come across a nice twisty road.
I haven't encountered any ice covered roads in these yet, but they have handled snow and slushy snow without issue. Winter performance seems to be closer to my previous winter tire (Viking Contact 7s) than my last all-season on this car (DSW06s)

Great traction in rain and snow, super confidence inspiring. Braking in snow and ice is good too. Braking on very wet pavement is not quite as good as my prior UHP all season tires, but still decent. Very predictable handling and not mushy like other all weathers. Good feedback on the grip limit.
Update as I've had them now for about 6000 miles and 1 year. Wet performance seemed to improve slightly after the first ~1000 miles. They have been wearing well and I'm on track to get about 45k miles from them. Had them in temperatures as high as 110f with high speed driving and no issues.
