Good Tires in almost all conditions. Feels better in try and wet than previous version r2 or r3. Good on wear. Could be better on ice and snow braking. Continental vikingcontact 7 feels better on ice and snow braking.
I drove the tires over the winter, very good in all road conditions.
In snow, they are excellent, I've never driven a better tire.
These tires seem to be made for snowy winter conditions. I was really confident driving these on both fresh and icy snow and I was surprised with the grip on hills where FWD cars always had problems.
However, I wasn't so confident on wet roads where tires slipped a bit more frequently.
They also seem to wear a little bit faster then I was used to.
Overall, really good value for the price but I'd look for an alternative if you don't experience a lot of snow in winter.
These replaced my previous LT2s which still look quite good for the age. Previous tires took me across Norwegian mountains in the worst winter weather, the new LT3s are even better. This truck has a plow as well and I use it to clear my road (I live on the top of a hill) for the other cars, so it just has to work. We have a lot of ice around here, so running these with studs is almost a requirement.
Great studdd tires here in Norway, Scandinavia with real winter variables, ice and harsh temperatures on country roads and highway. Beats the shit out of others!
