Methodology & Configuration
Scoring Process
  1. Collect Test Data: Gather results from professional tire tests across multiple publications. Minimum 1 test(s) required.
  2. Normalize Positions: Convert test positions to percentile scores using exponential weighting (factor: 1.2).
  3. Apply Recency Weighting: More recent tests are weighted higher with a decay rate of 0.95.
  4. Incorporate User Reviews: Factor in user review data (minimum 5 reviews). Weight: 15%.
  5. Bayesian Smoothing: Apply Bayesian prior (score: 7, weight: 1.5) to prevent extreme scores with limited data.
  6. Calculate Final Score: Combine all components using normalization factor of 1.1. Max score with limited data: 9.5.

Given 85% while driving a Audi A4 2.0 TDi 170 S Line (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 2,000 spirited miles
Had these tires on when I changed my car, so I can't tell how long they have lasted, but these are probably the best tires I've ever had. At least as good as Michelin PS4 on dry, and even better in wet. Maybe just a bit noisy, and wears little faster than Michelin.

Given 79% while driving a BMW 520d (245/40 R19) on mostly country roads for 6,200 easy going miles
Got these tires on the car when purchased used, have driven about 10.000km with these tires (tires have maybe been driven 2k-5k by previous owner). Most of my km is with a caravan behind, so not that much of sporty driving. Although when driving sporty, there are no issues with grip in dry or wet. The tires are awesome in the wet, no signs of aqua planing at legal speed limits + a few km/h. But they are loud and on our car they are “tracking”. Not sure what the proper English term for it is, but they feel unstable on “grooved” tarmac (because of studded tire wear on the tarmac). Measured thread after 10.000km is around 5.5-6mm. The “tracking”, noise level and price (can get Goodyear asy 5 and pirelli pz4 for €20-40 less per tire) is the reason why I’m considering other tires when the time comes to replace these.

The best tire I have used in the rain, i also do track days with it and when raining iit outperform all others.
