Review this tire

What owners say summarised from 15 reviews

Drivers rate the Nokian Wetproof 1 very highly overall, highlighting strong wet-road security with impressive resistance to aquaplaning alongside confident dry grip and braking. Many also praise its comfortable, quiet touring manners and excellent value for money, often comparing it favorably to more expensive alternatives. A smaller but recurring theme is that treadwear may be a bit faster than premium long-life options, and some users note it can be harder to source in the UK.

Good adherence dry and wet
Normal touring tire while much better then Michelin eco which came with the car.
Comfortable and low noise tire.
Seems comparable to Uniroyal rain sport 5 while more comfortable.
Not enough miles to fully evaluate wear. Will report later at mid life.
Normal wear for now.

I'm already on my second set and I'm very satisfied. I bought them for $95 a piece, and the value for money is unbeatable. They are completely safe even at 110 km/h in pouring rain, there's not even a hint of aquaplaning at this speed, despite water runoffs, etc.

I definitely recommend the set. Sure, there are probably better ones out there, but for this price, its a no brainer..

Absolute fine tire for dry hot summers aswell (35C+), won't harden or crack when stored properly in winter. After 60k miles, tread separation/break started to show.

I tested these tires on a hybrid AWD RAV4. The car was a rental; I work delivering cars and I drive a lot, changing cars frequently. I drove on a route full of curves and roundabouts at a brisk pace, and despite the car being tall and heavy, the tires were very comfortable, without compromising road grip. Of course, the steering felt slightly softer on turn-in, but the lateral grip was incredible, as was the braking. These are truly excellent tires in terms of price, safety, and comfort. If they perform well on a 2-ton hybrid SUV with plenty of power, they will be more than excellent for smaller, regular cars.

Lots of grip. Good steering response and feedback, slightly understeering under pressure, but in an undramatic and controllable manner.

Bought them to replace a worn set of Michelin energy saver.
They are very comfortable and much more silent than the Michelin.
If you want to decrease the road noise this is the perfect tire for you.
It is not a performance tire by any means but you can feel when it's losing grip in the dry, they lose it in a linear fashion.
I am quite happy with this buy until now.
Will update this review after testing wet performance and wear.

Extremely nice price to value ratio. Decent grip in dry conditions, great grip in wet conditions. I already put 10,000 kms into them. They are still doing great but of course you can see that they started to wear. No dry rot, no weird cracks. In conclusion I am very happy with them.

Bought them for 71$ per tire. The tire is very safe on dry road. The first thing I noticed compared to the old set is much much better road feel and control. The tire is very predictive, and safe for driving. Wet grip is also excelent, although I didn't have a chance to test the high speed grip on a wet road. For standard road tire, this is more than enough.

Budget price, feels like a premium tire. Very safe and predictable in all weathers, appears to be wearing well. Not easy to source. Mine were imported into the UK from Germany.

Great value for money. Forgiving performance when nearing grip limit with a nice linear profile. They do seem to wear out a little faster though but overall a superb value offering from the Finnish manufacturer.
