In the past I had Continental Sportcontact 2 and Goodyear Optigrip so I compare with them. After recommendation of a friend I chose Toyo Proxes R32. Even though it is tire made especially for some Japanese cars I bought it for my Mondeo. When the tires arrived I was slightly disappointed by the tread look. It seemed to have not enough grooves so the tire looked like worn even though it was new ;-) Nevertheless, after fitting I was really impressed. The steering is crisp and the car feels like on rails in every turn. Furthermore the steering feedback is perfect. Another advantage is the noise. The tires are perfectly quiet. Despite of the tread look the grip in the wet seems to be very good as well. No wheel spins and good brakes. Of course in the pouring rain I don't drive like a maniac. The wear rate seems to be reasonable. 1mm is worn in 6500 miles approximately. This is my first set of Toyo tires and it seems to be an underestimated brand.
