Continental SecureContact AW

The Continental SecureContact AW is a touring all-weather tire with short wet braking distances, good wet handling and competitive snow grip. Comfort and rolling resistance are also good, but resistance to aquaplaning is a clear weakness.

The BEST All Weather Tires for 2026/27 P1 of 8

The new Continental SecureContact AW finished joint first with the Michelin. It was the best tire in the wet, secure and predictable with huge amounts of grip, it got closer to the Michelin in the snow than any other tire, and it had the second lowest rolling resistance. Aquaplaning is its weak point. If you see more wet weather across the year than snow, this is the all weather tire to buy.

They are amazing!

Went from a squirrelly and rough ride on economy tires, to a planted, comfortable drivability that you can feel in the steering and hands.

They look fantastic as well with an obvious air of confidence and quality.

Took an older vehicle and rejuvenated its suspension and spirit making it pleasure to drive.

We put these tires on the wife's Cadillac XT6 and have been very impressed. Ride quality and road noise are great, wet traction and traction in light snow have also been very good. The tires have only been on the car for a couple months, but initial impressions are positive.

Good so far, balanced out well, no vibrations. Smooth and quiet at hwy speeds. A bit squirmy on long sweeping corners but it might just be the vehicle, a 7 passenger minivan.
A few drives in wet weather. No drama, no wheel spin, no sliding.
Can't wait to try them in snow in ice.
