Fitment comes from each tire's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.

How long do tires last on the Mazda 6?

Across 54 end of life reviews from Mazda 6 drivers, a typical set of tires was worn out after 17,400 miles. Half of all worn-out sets lasted between 9,000 miles and 27,000 miles.

Distances are self-reported by drivers whose review marked the set as worn out; figures are medians, so a single unusual report cannot move them.

The complete record, including discontinued tires and tires with too few reviews to rank, ordered by the amount of evidence. A further 123 tires have a single review each; they count toward the totals but are not listed.

Dunlop SP Sport FM800 225-55-17 Mazda 6 15,000 miles October 19, 2026

Very good while tire is new.
It harden after 10000km and noisier after 15000km.
Retired it at 2XXXX km.

Falken Azenis FK520 235-40-18 Mazda 6 22,000 miles October 18, 2026

Excellent tires cheaper than PS4's with better grip. Did get a puncture in one but repaired and still good 👍🏾

BFGoodrich g Force COMP 2 AS Plus 255-40-19 Mazda 6 22,421 miles October 13, 2026

Grip and handling have been satisfactory. Tread life is very disappointing. With 2 1/2 years and less than 23,000 miles the tread wear indicators on the front tires hit 3/32nd and the rear 5/32nd. The tires were only driven 22,421 miles over 2 1/2 years. I would not consider purchasing this brand again.

Very good overall, never was incomfident. Very good wet grip&aquaplanning resistance. Drove this tires for 35000km on my Mazda 6 2015. Respectable value and treadwear: remaining 4.5mm

Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 225-45-19 Mazda 6 Wagon 22,000 miles September 17, 2026

I have had these tires for 4 years, it will be 5 years starting next summer season here in Central Europe. Driven about 35000 kms on them, as they are exchanged for winter tires around November each year, and then installed back around March. I've been very happy with them, they are seriously good tires - great grip, great handling - at least for the first 2-3 years. Lately, in their 4th year, I start to feel they're not that confident anymore in edge cases (e.g. fast and sharp turn onto a highway). Comfort and noise was average I guess - I have them on 19" wheels on Mazda 6, with quite narrow sidewalls (45), so it's definitely noticeably harder when switching from 225/55/17s after winter. In the first two years, I thought they wore out quite fast, but maybe it slowed down a bit over time; now I think they would still last their 5th year, which is when I would exchange them anyway due to age. Overall a very good tire.

Dunlop SP Sport LM 705 225-55-17 Mazda 6 35,000 miles September 10, 2026

In these 35,000 kilometers, the tires have performed exceptionally, both in dry and wet conditions, providing unmatched smoothness.

Continental AllSeasonContact 2 205-55-16 Mazda 6 6,250 miles August 30, 2026

Very good handling in both low and high temperatures.
Very comfortable on the road imperfections.
Also very quiet.
In the twenty years that I have had the car and always with Michelin Primacy tire changes, these must be the best tires I have ever put on.
I haven't tried them on snow and ice yet.

Kumho Ecsta Sport S PS72 225-45-17 Mazda 6 Series 3,000 miles July 28, 2026

Kumho's feel very sporty and grippy, as they should. Sidewall is quite stiff for a road tire. Dry grip is awesome and should be more than enough for normal driving in traffic, even for spirited drivers. Wet grip also very good, I've never had any issues in the rain with these. (Yes, they are new tires.) Only downside is road noise which is not their best quality, but noise is not very loud, maybe average in their class.

Car came with almost new Minerva F205's and Kumho's beat these in every category hands on. Kumho is excellent tire and I highly recommend this. True value for money as they are cheaper than competitors (Michelin, Continental, etc) but offer same quality and driving characteristics.

I mostly drive city traffic and motorway in mixed conditions sun or rain.

85%
Michelin Alpin 6 225-45-17 Mazda 6 Wagon 37,000 miles February 21, 2026
After 6 years and ~37.000km of use, the tire still looks good, has a usable tread left. From the beginning till now it performance excellent in dry and wet conditions. Yesterday I've covert 300km of motorway in a very strong storm and they felt really good on a tarmac that was soaked.
On the other hand, the tire really disappointed on snow covered roads. We live in the mountains and when the roads are covered with snow, the tire loses traction very easily uphill.
So, the tire is really great if you live in areas that don't see a lot of snow.
