Without doubt these are the worst tires I have ever purchased. Not on the car that long and they have literally dry rotted and split to the point of dangerous.
Had them removed and the tire garage said they'd not seen rot like it. The tires still had 6mm tread on them.

I recently bought these and my impressions are quite positive so far. I've driven them for about 200 miles mainly on highways at high speeds.
In the wet they feel like the surface is dry, very impressed with that. Others state the tires lack some steering feel/ road feedback and that might come from the fact that there isn't much resistance in the steering wheel once you turn in. The steering wheel remains light when you park as well. In spite of this, the tires react instantly, sharply and precisely to your steering inputs, so I guess it's a matter of time you get used to the steering feel it has. This is my daily car, it's oriented towards stability and comfort, so I can't tell if someone driving a hot hatch will enjoy the Hakook Ventus Evo as much as I do, but I reckon the tires have got some good dynamics.
In terms of comfort, I don't find much difference compared to Michelin Pilot Sport 4 or the Linglong Sport Master. It's probably a tad bit quieter. The Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 (that I use as a winter tire) might be a bit more comfy over harsh bumps and less noisy, however, the Hankooks are way more pleasant to drive and consume a tad bit less fuel (too early to provide actual results, though). Someone mentioned in terms of rolling resistance that the car simply glides on the road and I can report the same too. Hopefully, that will result in better fuel economy in the future.

Absolutely awful tire. I don’t drive fast but even so, these tires give little confidence.
The cracking and dry rot in these tires is insane. Only done 4k miles on them and they are rotting away rapidly. Supplier doesn’t want to know. Will never buy an Avon tire again

On the positive side the tire is very comfortable but unfortunately there is absolutely a lack of grip in both dry and wet conditions ! This black circle called a tire is an absolute nightmare and waste of money! In my 35 years of driving I have never had such a really bad tire !!! I won't be spending no more money on Vredestein tires !
Overall a really decent tire, good grip on wet and dry roads, I have not driven on snow or ice so no comments there. Seem to wear well probably better than sme well known brands. Good value for your money.
Hello, I have done quite a few reviews on tires here but with other cars and tires under Astraman. I have another Astra a1.6 j series bought it last year after the other one decided sodd this world I'm done here, so bought this one and its great, car came a from Vauxhall dealer came with brand new tires on front and back.. the rears have the BC100 on, ah..I thought these again my experience with these was on my Vectra 1.8 which were then under Falken owned by this lot and were then ZIEX ZE912 pattern which are the BC100's. The grip then and now I will only talk about wet grip and wear as dry grip as with most tires can be very close unless your on the really cheapo's plastic rubber tires. On the front of my Vectra they only did 7k but didn't fail me in the wet at all but the wear was really poor, so seeing this tire again on the rears of my latest car didn't please me too much but here they are lets go.
Well they are very good in the wet and well planted on the road a tad hard and they are quite stiff in the walls, but being on the rear where the cars grip is they have been very good in all weathers, they haven't been too bad on the wear they have done very close to 19k and are now at 5.6mm on both rear tires as they are not much over 7mm new so not too shabby, I run my tires 4psi above comfort as one psi below base pressures is under pressure.
Will I buy them again for the rears yes I will they do the job ( on my car ) please remember not we all don't drive the same and differ with our tire pressures and weight of cars but they do for me and they are still not too expensive as lately near me the prices have gone stupid.

I have had a vauxhall Astra K since 2020 October. It came with general altimax one s 225 45 r17 94yxl tires mileage 27000. It is now 2024 October still have the same tires had no issues with them mileage is now 65000. Still got tread. Driven 38k with them and in all weather conditions and roads. Would definitely recommend these tires.
Excellent value for money. Dry they are good, wet they are awful.but they're a summer sports tire for 60 quid for 20 inch so can't expect the world but 100% worth the money
Had these for a few years now on a Astra 1.9 SRi XP, I would not recommend them at all, ok in the dry but they are ditch finders in the wet, the previous tires were cheap Nexus ones and were far better in the wet, I hit a roundabout at about 20mph and the back flipped around, if it wasn't for the Eagle F1s on the front holding the grip I would have hit the kerb, not great for the 18in pentas.
One now has a strange worn out patch about 2in round on just half the tire tread which is bald, never seen anything like it, its like there is a bulge on the tread face, the rest of the tire has 2-3mm of tread.

Not often I submit any reviews but if you are tempted to go with Avon tires just dont. I was initially pleased with them on my Ford Focus and stupidly recommended them for my daughter in laws Vauxhall Astra. They looked good and for some reason I thought they were a bit above your average budget tire. How very wrong. Less than 6 months after fitting they developed cracks between the treads all the way round the tire and I got an advisory on my MOT but since then have sold the car on . Meanwhile while servicing my daughter in laws car last weekend I noticed both Avon tires on her car had developed similar cracking between the treads with tires only fitted a year ago and probably covered less than 1000 miles. At MOT today she was issued a do not use this car notice based on the dangerous state of the tires which had minimal wear and looked new.
