Ford Mondeo Tire Review Highlights
Thus far a poor second best to the Michelin Cross Climate 2.
Handling, and stuff like direction and lane changing is poor. Understeer bad - washes out of the corner very quickly. Comfort not great but also feels wallowy.
Good grip in all weather thus far. Is still early days but don't expect huge changes.

Disappointed with Longevity – Dunlop Sport BluResponse 215/55 R16 (2021)
I purchased a full set of Dunlop Sport BluResponse 215/55 R16 97W XL tires in 2021, Lithuania, expecting a solid performance from a premium brand. Over the last three years, I’ve driven under 20,000 km, and during the off-season, they were stored indoors in a cool, dry basement — no exposure to sunlight, moisture, or harsh conditions. Tire pressure was checked regularly, and there were no signs of underinflation or abuse. The tires were always mounted on rims and were never removed during seasonal changes, so no additional stress from mounting or dismounting was involved.
Dry grip: Performance was quite decent when new. The tires felt confident on dry roads, offering a stable, quiet ride at both city and highway speeds.
Wet grip: Initially good, with predictable braking.
Comfort: These tires were noticeably quieter and smoother than the mid-range tires.
Wear Rate: This is where my experience takes a downturn. Despite the low mileage and proper storage, the tires have developed visible cracks . This was discovered in early April, 2025 when switching from winter to summer tires. Given the light use and good storage conditions, I did not expect this level of degradation from a supposedly high-quality tire.
Safety Concern: The cracking is particularly concerning — not something you’d expect from a tire with such limited use. Even if the warranty has expired, this feels like a premature failure. It casts serious doubt on the long-term durability of this model.
Verdict:
I can’t recommend the Dunlop Sport BluResponse based on my experience. One pair has already significantly degraded, and the other is showing early signs of the same issue. While driving performance was acceptable in the short term, this kind of unexpected deterioration is unacceptable for a tire at this price point and from a brand with Dunlop’s reputation. I’ve lost trust in this model and will be switching to a different brand for my next set.

205/55/16 the best touring tire overall....

Very good winter tire. Almost perfect traction on snow or ice. Very low noise level. One minus of the tire is low mileage.

Fitted to rear only so cant comment on many of the sections. Can only comment on snow and ice due to recent snow in the UK recently and fitted to a Mondeo hatchback. They do grip well albeit slide a little but given the very few sipes and not on the driving wheels they seem pretty good. In terms of dry and wrt grip again cant really comment but don't feel as squishy as my Goodyear vector 4 seasons G2 on the rear during the summer (my review is on there but they were on the driving wheels but the rears did squirm at sweeping bends on hot days). SO overall if you can get a good price Id say they are worth it but don't expect it to handle exactly like a summer tire but that's your compromise to have grip all year round. In terms of wear I haven't checked the exact depth but they are on the rear so will last ages anyway and its a Michelin so it will last a good while. Comfort wise again on the rear only so cant really comment.

Fitted a new set of these tires to my Mondeo 2.5 v6 in early 2017 and have done about 18,000 miles since. Wear - They are just about due for changing on the front but I can't complain at all about the wear as I tend to be a little more heavy footed. Back ones have around 1/2 left.
Handling - Amazing, the turn in is so direct and they grip all day long. In the wet they are fantastic, never had wheel spin or lack of grip even with the high power through the front wheels.
Noise - Well as far as i can say they're pretty much silent, I never hear any tire roar.
Value for money - Spot on, can't complain when I paid £70 a corner at the time.
All weather - ironically i managed to get up a slope to my house in light snow no problem at all! I'm not for one minute saying they're winter tires but they got me a small incline from flat standstill!
In the wet, I've read these tires aren't quite up to the mark but in reality (certainly on my car) they are fantastic and you even feel the confidence through the wheel that they will grip exceptionally through sharp turns and when braking.
Performance off the line - I had some poor landsails on before and the difference was astonishing when I changed, the car felt so much more agile through bends and responsive. Excellent.
Overall I would 100% recommend these tires and having experienced 'premium' tires such as Continental or Pirelli, would say the price upgrade is not worth considering as they perform just as well in all conditions.

Northeast Greece, my car Mondeo II 1.6 BFP (1999). 4 pieces bought and fitted Sep 2015 (manufactured Apr 2015 , "1518") , for 200€. Descent in dry general with quite lacking on sleepery asphalt while turning or accelareting from 0. Just bad in wet, with slightly better behavior in straight course while traveling in highway with nice surface. Feeling unsure a lot, due to lack of info. Finally 3 years later, the 2 front tires worn out after 31500 km (19,7 K miles) (12500 Km highway the rest Urban and suburban area) , while the other pair in the back is in better condition 2,5 mm tread. Not to buy them again.

This are actually the most unimpressive tires I ever had if I have to honest.
They are replacing the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 which were the best ever, but for the first 10k miles only then the driving experience was declining with every months. Before the PS4 I had PS3 and before that Bridgestone – the OEM.
I decided to give the Primacy 4 a chance as they were highly rated as very good all-rounder, but on the higher price range due to the constant performance for the duration of their life. When installed I felt no different compared to my winter tires, and nothing like the PS4. Handling is normal, grip is ok, noise is ok, braking is good, and they feel a bit soft in the corners – everything you expect form a nonperformance tire.
They bring no emotion at all – just average. Now I'll be waiting to see if they will last 10k miles longer compared to others as promised.
My recommendation: if you bet on Michelin – go with the PS4 for about 20% more $.
If not get something cheaper – I just dot see the value for money in Primacy 4 just yet.

Great tire. Have been use it for 5 days so far. Very comfortable, and no noise at all! Nothing...Handling is astonished! Dry grip is preety good, dont know nothing about wet grip, didnt have a chance to test it yet. First time i bought Fulda in my life and im really satisfied, for now...
