Compared to my previous premium summer tires, the Continental AllSeasonContact 2 is incredibly quiet and has fantastic grip. I am driving a plug-in hybrid Audi A3, and it became basically silent in fully electric mode. I always had wheelspin when I accelerated a little harder, because of the instant torque of the electric motor. What fascinates me is that this happened with both Bridgestone and Vredestein summer tires in warm, dry weather conditions. This is no longer the case with the ASC2. The rolling resistance also feels much better, the car coasts so effortlessly. Power consumption however is about the same as before. I didn’t get a chance to test the tires in winter conditions yet, however they seem to handle well in heavy rain. I would definitely recommend.

Huge letdown- premature failure!
I have bought 3 sets of Continental AllSeason Contact 2 - for my Golf Alltrack, my wife's Skoda and my Mini Cooper an I was really impressed with them until today when I have noticed a huge ripped tire tread with separation. The front left tire is the one most affected. Remind you, I bought them 1 Year ago, and the mileage is around 15.000 Km on them, at most!

I don't know if i qualify for warranty. I do not drive on the track and I don't drive too fast either. Only asphalted roads in Germany, never once off-road!

I have driven around 3000km in the plains of northern Italy with a Polo Aw1 Tsi 95cv, with average temperatures of around 20-22°C.
What I immediately noticed on dry roads is a fairly wide steering dead spot and significant understeer, even at low and moderate speeds. What left me most perplexed is the inconsistency of the steering when cornering (even when compared to the Bridgestone Blizzak I just removed): I don't have a good perception of the contact between the tire and the asphalt, the steering is not very precise, and I can perceive a sensation of floating.
The steering directionality on straight roads is also decidedly less consistent than summer tires (Bridgestone Turanza 001), and even compared to winter tires.
The positive aspect compared to the previous summer tires is the softness in following the bumps in the asphalt that allows for good control.

Overall I think that these All Season Contact 2 are not very suitable for the summer climate of the flat Italian areas, where temperatures easily exceed 35°C, and where temperatures are steadily above 15°C for 8/10 months a year.
In these situations I think that a certain amount of attention is needed when driving with these tires.

I wouldn't buy them again, because already at 20°C I find them unsafe when cornering and braking. I think I'll test them a bit more now to see how they behave as temperatures rise, but I'll probably replace them with summer ones before the high temperatures arrive.

First time I tried all season tires, I got these tires because were I live we have a more moderate weather in spring,summer and autumn.
But I wanted to be secure into autumn before winter, the temperature can drop too 0 degree (celius) in the night to mornings. (Don't worry, we always get nordic winter tires in the winter).

They aren't for sporty tires, feel secure in dry and wet weather.
Low noise, good comfort.

We had some torrential rain, were you could barley see the road more then 200-500 meters infront of you, full of water on the road.

The tires felt steardy, car stable. Something else I've notice as well, might have done with that I am not used too premium tires, but when it hasen't rained for a long time, and it does rain, the roads here usually get very slippery esp in the turns.... Don't feel it anymore.

The front tires has 5,2 mm left and back tires around 6 mm.

Still mid August right now, will make a new update closer too winter on the end life of the tires.

I have now driven over 12,000 miles on this set. I use my car for work, travelling weekly across the UK, from the south in summer to the north in winter, experience all manner of seasons, temperatures and road conditions. I drive a mix of motorways, A and B roads, motorway speeds and tootling about town and everything in between. I also use the run flat version. Firstly, I have to mention the wear. These tires are possibly the longest wearing tire I’ve ever used. They are wearing away slowly and evenly. I’m going to get many more miles from this set, they are incredible in terms of wear. Now, more generally, possibly the best All Season tire I’ve ever used and even of the best tires I’ve used ever. Performance in heat and cold is incredible. The car always feel sure footed and on rails. I’m not driving like a rally or F1 driver, but for what I’m doing, these tires feel responsive, safe and predictable and are still fun in sport mode on a twisty back road. Wet handling is superb. I have driven in snow and these tires are perfectly good at getting you through a snow storm or snow covered roads. Comfort is a little harsh particularly as I’m using the run flats, but not uncomfortable and I actually prefer that kind of feedback anyway. As reviewed, these tires really are good at delivering well across all situations, even the current heatwaves we are having aren’t really bothering these tires. So, I’m very happy and unless you are a boy racer, I think these tires are going to suit most applications well and last quite a while doing it.

On my Audi A6 2.8 Quattro FSI, i am using 245/45R18. Let me start by saying they never let me down, not even once, after driving for a bit over 3.000km with them. I never had tire spinning or problems to stop and they handle corners extremely well. Grip is awesome and i feel response when i accelerate.
I didn't drive them through heavy snow or over very icy roads. Having them on a bit over one year, they still look like new.
I know dedicated season tire would outperform them but for the climate i live in they are perfect. This is not too powerful car that needs some UHP tires. Comfort was a priority but i got a lot more from these tires. Noise levels are acceptable, even when i am driving with music turned off.

I bought these tires in 2019 secondhand with 6,5 mm of wear. They were a year old at the point I got them. Meaning dot 2018. I have to replace them now as they are running for around 6-7 years.

I live in Eastern Europe = Very hot summers (30-38'C), a fair bit of rainy days and a couple of weeks of snow on the streets that aren't really cleaned. I'm a spirited driver but not making large mileages. Having said that, my noteable moments as a review

Bad moments first
- At six year mark I went to a seaside country of Montenegro for a week. The temps there, are, I'd say, around 38-40'C constantly. The tires were like jelly. Braking was very inconsistent depending on road exposure to sun and the heat. I could feel how they stick to the asphalt, roll, stretch and then unstick. After I came back, I noticed that first time after six years, my tires had those dreaded holes where pieces of it have detached/broken off. Having said this, I think @tirereviews should/could make a more elaborate tests on hot summer roads and how these tires behave there.
- At six year mark in winter period, several sub zero days caught the remaining water and ice appeared. They tires were completely useless. I went in a very short, very steep street, barely moving the car (knowing there was probably some ice). I just skidded and stopped when the wheel hit the horizontal ground of intersecting street. Needless to say I got scared in my pants.
- At seven year mark - got stuck in the mud one day. The rain came pouring that day and I couldn't get out the parking place haha.

Good moments
- At two years mark (tires three year old by then) I had a couple run ins with large puddle on a dark country road. Nothing happened.
- At five, as well as six year mark, I had two sudden heavy breakings on the highway. The sky broke over us in a matter of minutes. The rain flooded everything so much so, the truck in front became a blur from the amount of water pouring at us. From driving 130km/h, we went into crawl mode at 50/60km/h in the matter of minutes. At this point I was impressed as I was sure I'd simply skid and hit the truck from behind.
- At six year mark (same as Ice story above) we had some heavy snow. I waited for the streets to be moderately clean so I can drive. No problems up the hill or down as long as there is no clear ice. Compacted or regular snow, no problems at all.

General observations; not necessarily good or bad.
- The tires are on the soft side (compared to season tire) and I can feel the sidewall bending slightly when steering. Nothing you don't get used to, but there it is. Other than that, after running them for 6/7 years absolutely no problem with them.
- After a few hot city summers the tire edges started looking a bit scorched. However, I never had any problems and the scorched layer would wear off.
- Seat Leons MK2 don't generally have a very good sound insulation (Compared to Golf 5/6) so when driving above 100km/h you can hear the tires being a part of your conversation with others. It's not an unpleasant sound, but it's there. Not sure if it's the tire or sound insulation on the car.

Other than the infamous sea-side episode where the behaved like jelly, I am really satisfied with them. I'm now tempted to buy Goodyear Vector 4 Gen 3. Not sure what to expect.

I had Nexen tires from factory on 2021 Škoda Scala. Which were absolute garbage tires. Replaced them with Continental AllSeason Contact 2. Overall I am very happy with the tire. Very good grip on the wet and last winter I got to drive in ice and snow and was impressed by the grip. The only thing Iv noticed is that comparing to Continental Premium Contact 7, which are summer tires. ASC would loose grip much quicker on the dry if pushed hard into a corner or a roundabout. Which is also expected as all season tires are not as good as summer tires for summer and winter tires in the winter but they do a good job of both worlds.
I have done 30,000km so far and I can hardly see any wear on them. They could last up to 100,000km.
I have them on a family car that I use with the wife to bring around two kids and I would get them again.

I've previously used Michelin Cross Climate (in original, + and 2 variants). I've had these Contis for two months and I find them to be quieter and more "controllable" in dry and in wet / greasy conditions, than the Michelins.

The comfort of these Contis, for 215/50/17, is supreme - on par with my wife's Hankook Kinergy 4S; and those are deeper profile, on an AWD crossover.

I heartily recommend these Contis for UK's wet/greasy and dry conditions, all seasons.

AS2 is a great all round tire, good grip in all conditions, virtually zero wheel spin when launching in the old and wet compared to the Pirelli AS that were fitted on purchase

Put these on an automatic 120bhp Peugeot 208, and they have been a significant upgrade in handling, acceleration, and braking in all conditions here in Ireland.
Went all season as there are only about 2 weeks a year where it’s warm enough for summer tires IMO.

After 15k over a year, tread has lost less than 1mm.

Zero complaints. Amazing performance.

I normally do not write reviews but I had to for this time.

I bought these tires regarding positive reviews but here is a huge negative about these tires that nobody mentions. The more you speed up, the more these tires pulls to one side(left or right). If you drive slowly like 50 km/h there is no issue; but if you go above 100 km/h these tires pulls terribly to one side. It is even worse when you slightly change wheel angle while going at high speeds because the tires grips the road and does not want to release grip after a certain delay. Even when you are going straight the car pulls to one side and you always need to intervene and adjust the wheel to stay in the lane.

My car is brand new so no rod or any wheel balancing issues exist. I checked air pressure and everything by the way for weeks repeatedly. I rebalanced tires twice to be sure, swapped front back etc. At last I switched to the factory installed summer tires just to be sure and the car steered perfectly fine. I came to a conclusion that is because of the strange design of v shape of the tires like low quality v shaped snow tires that I experienced this side pulling issue almost 20 years ago.

I have not tested in snow but in dry and wet, the handling is inconsistent as these tires have a delay when you maneuver; so at first it slightly resist you(and sometimes slide a bit if road is wet) and then grips very well. When you maneuver again, the tires does not want to release grip as they grip well, you get a slight delay and resistance against your move of steering wheel.

These tires have a grip delay for every slight adjustment you make to the steering wheel at high speeds. This is terrible for winding roads while going 100 km/h and above in traffic.

This is a very tiring driving experience for long commutes, steering is somewhat unpredictable and does not give confidence at all for a brand like Continental. I had great experience before Continental Premium Contact summer tires before. In these days even budget winter tires does not pull to the sides.

Dry and wet braking is fine like one of the reviewers commented like linear not immediate, and yes they feel comfy. And yes they grip well but after a delay as I tried to explain.

For high torque wheel spin they are far better than most summer tires, especially in wet. As I mentioned after a short delay they grip very well so you get a minimal slight spin or not at all.

Tire dealers told me not to buy all seasons tires but I did not listen to them because of the positive reviews and comments. Now I extremely regret my decision and I am surprised that nobody mentioned these problems in comments. Someone mentioned "a little vagueness around the centre position of the steering wheel" but that review did not exist at that time. This is hard to explain, but in short you can not center your wheel and go straight with these tires as you speed up; or when you center your wheel the car still pulls to one side. You always need to adjust your wheel to go straight or you need to hold your wheel very tight to prevent these tires to pull to the sides.

If you drive slow at 50-60 km/h in city you can buy these but above that speeds I do not recommend these tires. For this high price, these tires are terrible value.

Early days, but so far really great all round, Wet grip is good with almost zero wheelspin compared to the Pirelli it came with, recent snow and icy lanes no problem, motorway and dual cariageway smooth and quiet

Purchased these tires for my diesel Leon. Absolutely no regrets. They’re very predictable and progressive. Possibly not the sportiest tire out there but I can thoroughly recommend them to anyone. Traction is superb and the car never feels unsettled. You can accelerate hard in heavy rain and they won’t slip unless you want them to. I have driven them on a fully snow covered road (which had been sort of iced over as well) and I could pull away and accelerate quite aggressively without any problems.

They definitely prefer colder weather so if you live in a climate that doesn’t often see more than 20 degrees Celsius they are ideal.

Overall I can’t fault them aside from a little vagueness around the centre position of the steering wheel. Only real downside is the price. Also no other all season tire was available with such a high rating (Y/300 kmh).

I have to manage my expectations with these tires, and now the temperatures are dropping and the roads are getting wetter, I’m very pleased with the ASC2…

This is the most powerful car I’ve owned, with 300bhp & 4WD, and having had all-seasons fitted to my previous cars, it felt natural to do the same when it came to replacing the tires on this car.

When I bought it, the car had Continental Sport Contact 6 fitted, which, even being worn unevenly, and the fronts being saw-toothed, gripped like poop to a blanket and it felt like the car was on rails, even at around 3mm, when I always change my tires.

Changing to the All Season Contact 2, the sportiness and ultimate grip of the Sport Contacts has gone in dry, warm/hot weather, and I’m taking things a little easier on the ASC2 in those conditions. Having deployed ‘launch control’ a couple of times (where conditions have permitted) there was zero loss of traction, so I have no doubts the ASC2 do grip, they’re just not as precise as a summer tire when pushing a little on the twisties.

All that being said, the ASC2 is quiet, comfortable and fuel efficient, along with looking like there’s hardly been any wear, even after 7,000 miles, so they suit my mainly 250+ motorway journeys perfectly.

Back to my first comment about temperatures dropping, and the roads getting wetter…in these conditions, the tire seems to come to life, and I feel more comfortable throwing the car around in these conditions than in the warm and dry - the car’s starting to feel like it’s found the rails again now we’re heading towards winter, and is more fun to drive!

Would I buy again? More than likely, but I’d like to try the Pirelli SF2 (which wasn’t available when I bought the ASC2), or Michelin’s CrossClimate 3 if it’s out by then…tires are an easy ‘mod’ to change the characteristics of the car to suit you, and I enjoy that!
