SUV and 4x4 All Season Premium Touring Tires Tire Review Highlights

Hankook Kinergy 4S 2 X rated 88% while driving a Land Rover Freelander 2
Driving on a combination of roads for 25 average miles
I didnt expect to have winter tire performance with all season ones... They are very good on dry and wet, far above expectations. Sorry to say but no need to have both (winter and summer ) set of tires for light SUV vehicle. I had them on Land rover freelander 2. I drove them on muddy hills, ski slopes, icy roads and they gripped so well a had to have hard work to make a car sliding on snow. There was no place mud, snow or ice i wouldnt go, simply said... Great tire with insane winter capabilities for all season tire and a very good wet grip.
Wear was ok. For 25 000km they got to 5.3mm of tread. Driving was spirited only on mud ice and snow, and it was a joy with a lot of sense of control.

Vredestein Pinza HT rated 83% while driving a Ram 2500 4X4 6.7L Tradesman
Driving on a combination of roads for 250 average miles
Have only had the tires for a couple of weeks. First run at highway speeds revealed a shake from the rear. Went back to tire store, Discount Tire, and they re-balanced the rears. They were out apparently due to balancer problem. Road tested again and could now feel a slight shake in the steering wheel at highway speed. Back to the store and found right front tire had a bad belt. Tires were purchased through Tire Rack and they shipped a replacement immediately. If replacement is good we should be ready to go. Tread design very similar to my previous Michelen set and looking for good service from these.

Pirelli Scorpion All Season SF3 rated 87% while driving a Mercedes Benz GLC220d
Driving on mostly country roads for 1000 spirited miles
new tires replacing the oe pirelli scorpion ( summer) tires , initial report after 1000 miles it that they are good quiet and quite responsive not had any real rain or snow , just very hot roads and they are good but have not gaven them any grief especially in the 30 plug deg heat . I am waiting for the autumn to start and looking forward for some wet/cold weather here in normally muddy wet wales

Hankook Kinergy 4S 2 X rated 80% while driving a Kia Motors Rio
Driving on mostly motorways for 50 average miles
bought a set of these 2 years ago based on a review from this site. wasn't sure about them at first as they seemed quite slippery for the first 100 miles or so, but soon bedded in, and since then have not had any worries. They perform well all round and am just about to buy a second set. would recommend these tires and if they perform as well this time round as last I will probably get again if available. for around £60-80 a tire they seem to be very good value.

Continental CrossContact HT rated 83% while driving a Mitsubishi ASX Outlander Sport
Driving on for 0 miles
European version asx 215/70r16 , before had Michelin Latitude Cross for 55k kms, but was very noisy on road and fuel consumption getting up 0.5 liters/100km. Conti real great in the first 4.000km silent and also consumption was significant less than before. Hope have keep having this nice performance for more than 40k kms.

Pirelli Scorpion MS rated 10% while driving a Hyundai Santa Fe
Driving on mostly motorways for 0 average miles
Like myself, There are multiple online reviews or concerns about these tires. Multiple people have expressed vibration that resolved once all tires were changed. Other cases where two more tires were faulty in the same set. Some hyundai service centers are likely aware of this issue by now.

Michelin Primacy Tour AS rated 63% while driving a Mercedes Benz GLE 450
Driving on a combination of roads for 27000 average miles
Noisy. These came on my Mercedes GLE450 and have been noisy since they had a couple of thousand miles on them. They have a resonant hum that only goes away on the smoothest roads. Wear is average for a heavy SUV. The rear tires will need replacement around 30,000 miles. The front tires have significantly more tread left. (Rotation of the tires is complicated due to different wheel offsets between front and back). Handling is OK, but not great. Lots of understeer with these tires. Ride comfort is good (I have the air suspension). Considering the Pirelli Scorpion Zeros all season as replacements.

Continental ContiCrossContact LX rated 16% while driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee
Driving on a combination of roads for 17000 average miles
These tires should be taken off the market. Purchased new Jeep Cherokee Summit Reserve summer 2024. Followed the recommended oil change/tire rotation. The 17,000 mile oil change appointment found uneven wear on tires. Called Continental tire regarding issue- they said it was from over inflating tire and it was a Performance tire. I never added air lb pressure but no mileage warranty because bought new vehicle. Nobody wants to admit (Jeep/Continental) these are junk. Ive never had a tire howl or end it’s life this fast. I’ll never buy a new vehicle again without asking about tires and mileage warranty. Continental doesn’t stand behind its tires…

Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT rated 74% while driving a Chevrolet Utility
Driving on a combination of roads for 40000 average miles
Was a better tire than the factory ones, just didn't get the mileage out of them that I was wanting, even though I rotate and balance them every 5K miles

Continental CrossContact HT rated 90% while driving a Nissan Qashqai
Driving on mostly motorways for 3000 average miles
I have driven 3,000 km with these tires and I am very satisfied with their behavior on both dry and wet roads. Before them I had conti crosssontact lx2 with which I drove about 40,000 km in 5 summer seasons and they were also very good tires.

Goodyear Wrangler Territory HT rated 81% while driving a Ford Everest
Driving on a combination of roads for 35000 easy going miles
Not the greatest wearing tire but I am driving a Next Gen Everest so the weight would impact this significantly.
I'll be rotating my tires more frequently next time around.
Otherwise pretty happy overall.
