Pirelli Scorpion MS Owner Reviews
Review this tireWhat owners say summarised from 6 reviews
Drivers report a mixed experience with the Pirelli Scorpion MS: it's often praised for quiet road manners, stable wet grip, and decent efficiency/rolling resistance. However, a notable share of reviewers report repeated punctures from small debris and feel the all-season/snow benefit and dry steering feel are underwhelming compared with their OEM tires. Overall sentiment is slightly positive but held back by durability/puncture complaints and performance expectations versus competitors.

In the wet, sure-footed and feels almost the same as they are in the dry, consistent.
On ice/snow, good as you would expect but not great, not noticeably better than the OEM tire. Where is the all-season benefit?

The new Pirellis were very grippy around corners on wet tarmac, quieter than the worn Michelins, and still very efficient at about 10% more energy needed. This is normal for new tires compared to worn ones on an ev as they get more efficient with less tread. The new tires have 8.5mm tread depth, very pleased to see that.

I do want to note that I probably could have gotten 25k miles out of this instead of the 18k I will be getting out of them if I drove a lot less spirited and did not take every corner as fast as I could or launch the car every time I could. They do get louder as they wear and I am not sure if the foam really did anything. Also not really driven on any ice so no comment on ice performance.
Will be replacing with the Goodyear WeatherReady 2

On each occasion the gravel has gone through the rubber, canvas and even the metal gauze.
Unfortunately after 30 using Pirelli I think I will be changing manufacturer.
All of my cars on this period have been new Land Rovers/Range Rovers with tires fitted as original equipment
