Fitment comes from each tire's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.

How long do tires last on the Toyota Avensis?

Across 14 end of life reviews from Toyota Avensis drivers, a typical set of tires was worn out after 16,000 miles. Half of all worn-out sets lasted between 10,000 miles and 20,000 miles.

Distances are self-reported by drivers whose review marked the set as worn out; figures are medians, so a single unusual report cannot move them.

Every tire reviewed on the Toyota Avensis

The complete record, including discontinued tires and tires with too few reviews to rank, ordered by the amount of evidence. A further 98 tires have a single review each; they count toward the totals but are not listed.

Remember when you were a kid and your parents bought you a cheap pair of shoes with thin hard plastic soles? You could skid over anything in them. Now imagine them made into tires. In the dry they’re ok but even with the finest misting of water on the road it’s like driving over a road soaked in diesel. I have an Avensis 2.0 D4D and I’m old. I don’t boot it. On the back end my car kicked out without any warning multiple times. I honestly thought there had been a diesel spillage. Having replaced my fonts with decent tires I decided to switch and put these on the front to finish-’em off. They went from dangerous to lethal. Yesterday I tried to pass a learner on an A38 slip road in said damp. At 20 mph I put my foot down. Traction warning lights. I had to abort the maneuver. Not again. Tons of tread but they’re coming off! They wear like iron: they also grip like iron on tarmac. Don’t buy them!

Low noise.
Low rolling resistance.
Durable.

I've had those tires about 4 years and driven atleast 10000 miles with them, and tires aren't even halfway there. (Using two separate sets of tires, winter and summer)

I just got Landsail Rapid Dragon to my other car and im not so impressed with those. I think Qirin 990 is a better model, but they might be hard to find with a good pricetag.

I have Hankook 4S2 tires on my other car and they are a much better all season tire in every way, except slightly noisier. Of course, they are a newer design too.If I drove more sedately the Michelin would be fine. I would buy the Hankoook 4S2 over these every time.

A good tire that rolls comfortably. It handles really well in the dry. It offers average performance in the wet, as I ride accordingly anyway. Given the value for money, I highly recommend this tire!

I have been driving my Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance 2 (215/55 R17 94W) for about 1000 miles and I'm quite surprised with the quiet and comfortable ride they deliver, a real premium experience. I have to admit that they struggle a bit on wet braking, but the rolling resistance is impressive, as the car kept the same fuel consumption as with the smaller OEM Michelin (205/60 R16 92V).

I have been driving with these tires for 4 years and I am relatively satisfied. I have never lost control in turns with them. There has been a side water at 80 km/h but I have not lost control (I mean the laws of physics, though). Braking is also good. I could say that they are not noisy. The price with qualities compared to the premium models is good. The only thing I do not like is that they do not have very good traction when starting at higher speeds.

Michelin CrossClimate 205-55-16- Toyota Avensis estate 1.8 petrol 1,250 miles January 3, 2025
These tires were on the car when I bought it. The elderly gentleman I bought the car from used them as winter tires, which is fine, as we get very little snow in Hungary. As he mainly used the car in summer, they have had very little wear, and my greatest concern was that the rubber might be going hard and cracking. However, as is the habit here, he must have kept them in plastic bags in the garage during summer because they seem to be in great condition, in every way. Initially, I thought that they lacked feel but I now think that maybe more a consequence of over-light power steering the car has. I have driven only 2000km, which includes commuting to work in Budapest and two family holidays, before and then after Christmas, in quite miserable weather. In wet, light rain and mist, at just above freezing temperatures on B roads, these tires have surprised me with how well they grip in the corners and stop. When the weather turned to freezing fog, I did not expect great traction on ice but I was also pleasantly surprised that I could still safely navigate corners and roundabouts, while watching a few others slipping and sliding. A light dusting of snow with some ice below, made me realise that they are not snow tires. However, once on a major road the road is simply wet and cold and the tires are working well. In the dry, they behave much like a summer tire. My comparison tire is the Hankook 4S2 fitted to my Renault. The Hankook seems much better in snow but not so much better in other conditions and it is a much newer tire, both in age and design.

Having researched these tires before purchasing I seems sumitomo is one of the world’s major manufacturers owners of many of the top brands inc Goodyear ECT apparently highly regarded in Japan after one trip to Portugal and two to spain crossing France I can’t fault them would Definitely buy again.

Sava Eskimo HP2 205-60-16- Toyota Avensis estate 1.8 petrol 300 miles November 14, 2024
This is initial review of mine (only 500km). I have ridden dozens of winter tires in past 30 years and have tested even more since I was working in automotive industry for 25 years.
So far haven’t tested them on snow and ice but i do on dry and wet roads 0-7C
These tires on dry road are average at best. They are wallowy and have poor lateral grip although they hold decent speeds before they start loosing grip. They are very imprecise and often need correction while in curve.
Wet performance is below average it was even worse experience than on dry roads.
I hope they will perform better on snow and ice since Sava Eskimo S3+ was better than most premium tires at those conditions.

Michelin CrossClimate 205-60-16- Toyota Avensis 43,000 miles March 26, 2024
This is for the original Cross Climate tires I bought in 2018, not the newer CC2 version. My Toyota Avensis D-4D has done 43,000 miles on them over 6 years, they have performed very well in both rain and dry (we haven't had any snow here worth mentioning), and still have about 3mm of tread left (I swapped the front and rear wheels around about half way through to even the wear). The date stamps on the tires are from 2017, so they're actually 7 years old. The tread has worn more around the outer edges than the middle, it's down to 1mm at the very edge, and some of the rubber has torn slightly, but my main concern is the sidewalls which are starting to look cracked/crazed where I've scuffed the kerb occasionally. No leaks or bulges though, they just keep on passing MOT inspections! I've finally decided to replace them on age grounds though. I would happily buy the same again, but it was a close thing between the Michelin CC2, the Falken Euroall AS210, and the new Continental AS2. The latter just won me over this time.
