Audi A5 Tire Review Highlights
I buy new one Audi A5 Sportback 40TDI quattro at December 2023 with this AO tires. During winter car was fitted with winter tires, so now have 50 000km after 2 and half year this tires pass around 35 000km and they are gone. Few days ago I changed winter tires to this ones as temperature in my place were +12°C. So I don't feel confident in corners, they look plastic and the sound more louder than winter tires. On highway drive 140 km/h you brake strong and the rear part of the car start shaking. On the outside city road while raining when I brake ABS start like in the snow, but outside temperature were 11°C. They were excellent first 20 000km but now is time to change factory fit tires AO after 2 years and 3 months and approx 35 000km driven. I will not buy them again.

Bought it in December 2023 and for last 3 winters they are on my car. They have 40% on highway and 60% city drive. Comparing with regular wintercontact there is no standard noise when is temperature higher then 7 degC. On highway they feel really confident and handling on snow and icy road is really sporty. I will buy them again. I think one more seasson they will be ok to use.

Been a user for all cross climate series, except plus, I can say this one tops them all, I could not use it for snowy or heavy wet conditions yet but for dry and wet roads performance its very near to UHP tires. Steering response is good and during hard cornering you can feel sidewalls are not giving way, stable and not losing traction. A very little rubbery feeling when moving over small bumps as if car is floating but actually feels extremely better considering previous potenza s001 stone wheels, also I choose bigger tires 255 35 r19 to 245 40 r19 another reason maybe.
Comfort is also very good especially in urban areas they are virtually silent, medium to high speed there is standart cc noise which is acceptable.
I can say very good ride quality, good dry performance "breaking and traction", not a track tire of course but again if you like switching sport, summer, winter tires, this might not tickle your fancy.
I can say good summer performance

Amazed how this tire performs in wet conditions. Simply tangible difference between the premiumcontact 6 and pirelli cinturato P7.

I know how the Asymmetrical 6 is such a favourite and how well reviewed it was. But on the A5 which sits lower, my biggest gripe would be the road feedback. On certain road surfaces, the car glides through while providing some feedback, On rough surfaces, it seems to be highlighting every crevices undulation on the road which makes it very uncomfortable. I do not appreciate after riding an hour in the car and probably due to thin profile of the tires, that road feedback travels into the cabin and makes the car just feel out of place. The tires perform well on handling, on grip, on braking distance, on quietness, it was sublime. The road contact patch they boast of actually backfires in a hot country with terrible roads - Singapore.

Nice tire balanced for cold, clean asphalt. Not very good on snow and ice.

I had those tires on my 2008 Audi A5 V6 manual transmission for 12 years. I’m not a daily driver , average around 5K a year. First time I had to replace the tires was when they were too old and started to fall apart. I think they are rated for max 6 years which is normal. Next time I had to replace tires was when I hit big potholes created after snow removals on the streets. I hit some serious potholes and they still held pretty well surprisingly but they’re not indestructible ( I had to replace 3 or 4 not -in the same season). Tires would break when the rim bent from impact. Understandable. One thing that pulls me back to them is grip. I was braking really hard couple of time because people are idiots, and not once did I feel my anti-lock brakes activate. It was a solid hard glued to the road stop! One car behind me had to go into emergency lane while braking to avoid hitting me. On wet surface it had pretty good grip but I wasn’t pushing it in the rain. Snow driving: while it’s not a snow tire it did get me in and out of snowy situation. Front wheel sedans were getting stuck while going up the hill in the snow but I was able to manage to keep moving because my car is quattro. My current 2015 audi S5 has Continental ultra-high performance all seasons tires , and while they’re great overall tires I already felt anti-lock brakes activate when suddenly I had to stop (it wasn’t that hard of a braking I must say). I’m currently looking to get the Dunlops as replacement. Braking>Acceleration.

These wheels have excellent dry behavior. In the wet they suffer little aquaplaning and offer excellent grip shortly after setting off. On my FWD car they counteract understeer well. They offer little sideshift at high speed. They are comfortable and do not emit excessive noise.

Tried these tires on the front of my 2013 Audi A5 2.0TDi after reading some good reviews about them.
My usual go to tire on my previous cars have been Uniroyal RS3's however I needed tires quickly for my MoT and these were less than half the price in my size 255/35/19. The Roadstones perform well above my expectations for a budget tire and I will be buying a set for the rear soon.
Great grip in all but the worst weather. I'd recommend running the “laden†pressures of your car if you drive harder as there's a bit of give in the sidewalls.
I've done around 8k miles and there's about 4mm left. So hopefully looking around 16k miles per set on the front.

After 25.000km I had to change the front tires. I drive 90% of the time on the highway and fast (average 180-190km/h) so I am not sure if the high wear is due to high speed. Dry grip was quite good. Changed to Michelin Primacy 4 and with the same driving setting the fuel consumption was reduced by 0,4 L/100km
