The most recent reviews, in their own words
The initial 5000 miles were decent, compared to big name tires like the Pirellis and Michelin, but a further 500 miles and my opinions of this brand took a severe nosedive. They started cracking at the inner sidewalls, after just the 5,500 miles in a little over 21 months. Sure the S6 (4K, 5.2L) is a heavy car with decent torque and power, and I do push it occasionally; but no way should this happen. Other midrange brands I use like Yokohama and Vredestein do not self destruct like this after 2 years.
They were ok, and seemed pretty good value, and though they never got those "bulges" like the ones you get in most Chinese tires, I'm probably not going to go cross country in these UHPs anytime soon.
Maybe I'll stick to the more reputable brands, and only use these Indonesian tires for things like low powered (and light) Chinese cars like the new MG models.
For a cheapie tire I can't complain about grip on wet or dry, but excessive side swaying and increasing tire pressures don't help. Biggest problem is the blowouts and side wall cracks in exactly the same places with all four tires on such very low mileage. I will stay very far away from these tires, unless you are driving a very small lightweight car that doesn't have much top speeds.
They feel 'hard', not much feedback. I feel the car understeers, both wet and dry so I bought winter tires for better performance in low temperatures.
Actualy a great tire no complaints whatsoever. they do feel sporty as the name suggests.
These were cheapest tires I could buy at my shop, 160 EUR for a set of 4 (40 EUR each). So far I've driven them about 3500 miles/5600 km. I'm very pleased with these tires. Before these tires I had Continental ContiPremiumContact 6. I'll start with negatives, they are not even close to be sporty, they don't give a lot of feedback of the road. I would describe feedback feeling like jello, very squishy. Compared to the Conti I had previously, they have very good grip on the dry and wet roads. Not as good as Conti, but still very good. So far I've driven them 50% in the city, 50% on the Autobahn and grip in every situation is great. Braking is very good, specially in the city, where speed is up to 80 km/h. They are a bit "nervous" at very hard braking over 150 km/h. Few times I had to break from 180 km/h to almost full stop, and tires felt wobbly, I had to give a lot of steering input to keep the car straight. Compare that to Conti where I could basically brake without touching the steering wheel. But I've never felt like they are slipping, grip is there, just not stability. For drivers who drive mostly in the city and don't go over 150 km/h on the highway, I would highly recommend these. They are very quiet and if you drive casually (that is, if you drive the speed limit) very comfortable. I have them for just about a month and a half, so I don't have any data about wear and how they behave after a while.
