The Uniroyal WinterExpert stands out as a well-rounded performer with particular emphasis on fuel efficiency. It achieves the highest fuel-saving potential in the test thanks to exceptionally low rolling resistance, making it an economical choice for high-mileage drivers concerned about operating costs. The tire delivers balanced performance across all conditions without any severe weaknesses, showing competent behavior on snow, wet, and dry surfaces. However, it doesn't claim top honors in any single discipline, representing a jack-of-all-trades approach. Dry braking distances are slightly longer than the sportiest options, but still within acceptable limits for safe winter driving. At approximately €460 per set, it offers solid value, particularly when factoring in the fuel savings over its lifetime. This makes it an intelligent choice for practical drivers who want dependable winter performance combined with low running costs.

The Uniroyal WinterExpert fails to achieve good ratings on dry and winter roads and therefore misses a good driving safety score, and despite earning a good environmental rating, this isn't sufficient to improve the overall judgment to "good." For driving safety, the tire shows significant weaknesses in precision and steering feedback on dry roads, lacking the accuracy and directness expected during steering input and cornering - constant steering corrections are needed to maintain the desired path, and during sudden evasive maneuvers the WinterExpert doesn't convince as the test vehicle tends to oversteer, especially when counter-steering, with sliding phases that could be shorter, resulting in overall limit behavior that isn't at a high level and is just rated as satisfactory, though dry braking distances are still rated as good compared to the test field. On wet surfaces, the Uniroyal achieves good ratings with both braking distances and handling performance rated as good - the test vehicle can be driven safely and controllably over the course with the tire consistently providing good limit reserves, though its longitudinal and lateral aquaplaning behavior is only satisfactory compared to the test field. In winter conditions, the WinterExpert narrowly misses good ratings, achieving good scores for both snow braking distances and snow traction compared to the test field, but failing to earn good handling ratings as it would need to better combine longitudinal and lateral forces, overall providing moderate grip levels in handling with satisfactory limit reserves, and also only achieving satisfactory ratings for ice braking. Regarding environmental performance, this French-manufactured tire receives good ratings with good predicted mileage, low tire wear, and good efficiency thanks to low weight and fuel consumption.

Since this is new model of Uniroyal winter tires at first I was skeptical since there was no tire reviews about them on the internet, but at the end I have decided to give them a chance and I'm quite satisfied with them. They have great grip and they behave great on dry, wet and snow, I didn't have a chance to test them on ice. Can't say much about wear since I drove them for about 2000miles so time will show.

This tire is excellent for calm driving style in winter conditions. Either cold dry, rainy or snow-covered roads are no problem. Only when you try to push it, there might not be enough traction. No experience on ice so far. It is in the noisier side, as most winter tires, especially during dry parking manouvers. You can get very good fuel economy out of it. Based on wear so far, I would think they last around 30-40 k kilometers.

New type of Uniroyal Tire, after driving with them for a few hundred KM:
-Noisy at the start, but already getting better. They might need some time to settle/wear. Of course winter tires are always noisier.
-Good grip dry and wet. Haven't seen any snow yet.
-Handling: Hard to say. 185/65/15 will always be a tire with a more flexible sidewall. 18" in summer. So far the tires were fine cornering even at higher speeds and they feel predictable, have not experienced any loss of grip yet.

I have driven this tires for short period of time now, but i am impressed because tires are quite direct and responsive in dry and wet road. Negative is that they are quite noisy but nothing drastic.
