As I said throughout the test, I am very glad I had the Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Sport in the test. I really enjoyed driving it. It's reconfirmed the fact I've recommended this to a lot of people a lot of times As a fast road/track tire, every single person has been really happy with my recommendation. I think now it's just starting to show its age. It couldn't quite match the best in the dry and its rolling resistance is very high but it is still a very good tire. I assume it's going to be priced very well for its longevity, My gut tells me this will be the best-wearing tire here, although I don't have any data to prove that, so ignore me.

Across 19 summer tests, the Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport shows a clear “driver's tire” profile: repeatedly strong lap-time pace and steering/feel (especially in dry handling, and often in wet handling), with frequent top subjective scores and occasional outright wins/awards (e.g., Tire Reviews “Track master”). However, results also show growing inconsistency versus newer rivals in key safety metrics (notably wet braking in several newer tests), and a persistent efficiency deficit.

The most consistent weakness is energy efficiency (rolling resistance) where it regularly finishes last or near-last with large percentage gaps. Comfort/noise results vary by test/size, but trend below the best, and newer tests increasingly note the tire “showing its age,” culminating in some bottom-table overall finishes when wet disciplines carry heavier weighting.

As I said throughout the test, I am very glad I had the Goodyear Eagle F1 Super Sport in the test. I really enjoyed driving it. The Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport finishes last and is clearly out of its depth in this mixed-size fitment on the Z4. It loses over 9 mph to the Continental on the wet handling course and is also slowest in the dry, where the driving feel is described as unbalanced. Wet braking from 62 mph takes 169 ft - meaning it is still travelling at nearly 25 mph when the Continental has already stopped. Aquaplaning resistance is its only relative strength. The poor results appear to be a fitment mismatch rather than a fundamental tire deficiency.

Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport also tied for eighth on 129 points with a "recommended" rating, though at €108 it was the second most expensive tire in the test - €40 more than the identically scoring Linglong. Its wet safety score of 65 was respectable, sitting above the mid-pack, with a decent wet braking score of 24 out of 30 and a wet handling result of 15 out of 20 - avoiding the harsh criticism levelled at Pirelli and Falken for excessive sliding. Its dry safety score of 49 placed it in the lower half alongside Kumho, with a dry handling score of 18 out of 20 and a lane-change result of 7 out of 10 - behind the leaders but without the specific rear-axle criticism that Nokian received. Its economy score of 15 was third-lowest. A tire that spreads its points evenly without excelling anywhere, which at this price point makes it difficult to recommend over cheaper alternatives with similar or better results.

The Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport earned a strong second place through superb performances across both objective and subjective tests. On the wet handling circuit it was deeply impressive, turning keenly into tighter turns to allow really early throttle application, sitting the BMW into corners and firing it out with all the torque in harness. It demonstrated a lovely dynamic balance, delivering precise amounts of lift-off oversteer on demand to arrive at the exact clipping point. It felt like the Goodyear was getting the very best out of the M135i. In the dry, it carried speed everywhere, homing in on late clipping points with unerring precision to deliver an inspiring performance. The steering felt connected, linear and reasonably tactile, while road noise over coarse surfaces was low. Perhaps its only weakness was rolling resistance, but this fails to take the shine off an accomplished tire that's wonderful to drive.

True to its name, the Goodyear is the most sporting tire in the field. It dominated dry handling and excelled in dry braking, while wet performance was close to the leaders. However, deficiencies in interior noise, ride comfort and high rolling resistance mean it misses out on the podium despite its dynamic appeal.

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport had excellent grip and perfect handling characteristics on dry roads. Testers were impressed by its confident performance on dry surfaces, where it showed excellent traction and cornering stability. In wet conditions, Goodyear's sporty tire still delivered harmonious dynamic qualities and good stability. While it offers short braking distances for good safety reserves, the Goodyear suffers slightly in one area - it ranked last in rolling resistance tests, suggesting it might impact fuel consumption more than its competitors.

The Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport showed strong performance across all tests, particularly standing out in wet conditions. The tire was quick around the handling circuit, just a fraction behind the quickest time, and scored highly in subjective rating with good grip levels. It demonstrated a stable yet adjustable character in the wet while maintaining strong precision. The tire's wet braking was solid, coming in fourth with a stopping distance about 7ft off the best. Aquaplaning resistance was strong in both straight and curved tests, and the tire showed good levels of refinement on the road, though it initially needed some warming up. Overall, an impressive performance that earned it third place.
