Fitment comes from each tire's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.

How long do tires last on the Volkswagen Passat 2.0TDI?

Across 16 end of life reviews from Volkswagen Passat 2.0TDI drivers, a typical set of tires was worn out after 18,000 miles. Half of all worn-out sets lasted between 11,600 miles and 22,000 miles.

Distances are self-reported by drivers whose review marked the set as worn out; figures are medians, so a single unusual report cannot move them.

comfort level and noise level are great. Im not satisfied with wet grip, handling is bad, you are felling like you are wobbling in the turns, you are late with the turns. wearing is also bad, im driving mainly on highway but im not satisfied, also i have to replace it because the started to have bulging at the sides.

the main reason that I don't like this tires is that under 6 degrees they are rubbish with poor grip , in UK where is wet and cold for 6 months this tire is a bit useless

Firestone MultiSeason Gen 02 205-50-17 Volkswagen Passat 2.0TDI 18,000 miles September 15, 2026

Used in multiple road conditions and seasons, can't say I am really displeased about them, they are fine for the price, decent grip and pretty good fuel economy. During rain you can really estimate the limits of the tire and the car, however these tires are not suited for heavy winter weather, such as ice or snow, the tire, despite its tread, is struggling to find grip and getting the car rolling is quite a difficult task and at medium to low speeds, during said conditions, the car becomes unstable; didn't have enough courage to go faster as the car was feeling like a sled.

Overall they are pretty good if where you live it doesn't snow a lot, they can handle cold temperatures and rain completely fine and summer driving (you must pay attention to braking distances during summer as the tire becomes really soft), as long as you don't overplay your hand too much. Very good on fuel and cheap to buy.

The tires were mounted on a VW Passat B7 Variant 2.0TDI 103KW, 6-speed manual transmission, front wheel drive.

Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 215-55-17 Volkswagen Passat 2.0TDI 25,000 miles July 29, 2026

Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 are great all season tires. They replaced Michelin Cross Climate 2. For mileage comparison they have both lasted around 25000 on a front axel on a front wheel drive car and 50000 on the rears. the Bridgestone have still got more tread left compared to the Michelin by around 2mil a good improvement, but they are starting to crack on the tread now. The Bridgestone are noticeably more fun to drive give better steering response and feel more planted. The Michelins were nicer for cruising they soak up bumps and potholes much better and are quieter. Both were great in ice and frosty conditions and dealt with snow well. I am however going back to summer tires, they are way more fun to drive for the majority of seasons in the UK. I personally found both sets of the all seasons just not as fun to drive as good summer tires (obviously) I drive a lot of twisty B roads and they never felt as secure as summers or handle as well in wet conditions they are just ok. Also there's a notable difference in braking differences compared with summer tires they just seem to take a bit longer to come to a full stop than you expect.

I Previusly bought yokohamas of the same spec but these were on offer if you bought pairs so when it came time i got all 4 of turanza 6 tires. The grip was not as impresive i noticed that strait of the line. But worse of all all 4 tires were gonners by 10k not impressed at all, ive had budgets out last. Will not recomend or buy again for premium price tires they massively under proformed.

Whit every new tire i test it by scraping my shoe against it to feel grip( laught as much u want :) )
And i can say, compared to my ex micheling primacy 4+ , there are extreamly sticky. On medium quality asphalt i pushed tires hard whit speed over 120 kmh on extreamly steep curve. I am impressed and i can only say that i will buy it again. Saved me today from hiting another car whit 10/10 braking on wet. Noise is on par or even better then michelin. I bearly hear them! . Compared to micheling-excels in evrything! Corners i couldnt take whit confidence
, now i speed past it. Short life compared to michelin? One thought -i value better braking and cornering then tread wear.
Downside- they do use 0.3 more fuel coz ur driving faster :-) extreamly happy!

These tires replaced a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 5's.
Early indications show that the Kumho's offer more grip, better feel, are quieter and generally give more confidence over the PS5's.
I rarely review products but these Kumho's have genuinely surprised me. Great product at a fantastic price-point, well done Kumho!

When new had good performance.
After one summer, got hardened and performance dropped from 8/10 to 6/10.
On icy sludge became almost unusable. Took me 10m to stop where others did it in 4m with abs activated.
Not happy, never again.
