Hyundai elantra Tire Review Highlights
Writing about the Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5 given 84% (210-55-16)
Driving on a combination of roads for 1200 average miles
New to the tire for this winter season - that said I am highly satisfied with the purchase comparing its use to our other two cars this winter it is the car chosen for when the roads are challenging. Wear is an N/A as we havent had it long enough. Cold dry grip seems just fine, noise level is elevated but who cares when you feel as secure as one does driving in the snow and wintery conditions. Our other cars travel north and well as to the south of North America (aka Florida) so we'll be looking forward to new all weather tires to compare it against as All weather set vs. Summer/Winter set.

Writing about the Mastersteel Super Sport 2 given 79% (225-45-17)
Driving on a combination of roads for 70000 spirited miles
I upgraded my wheels from 15 to 17 inches at a tire shop, there were used tires that came with them but they were too tall for my car, thus I was introduced to try Mastersteel which was within my budget.

I have read pretty good reviews online for the super sport 2 model and decided to try this out as it is a UHP tire. I am really impressed with the dry and wet grip, and the overall comfort and quiet ride! They give me the confidence to drive faster on rainy days, treads on water puddles without much drama. They can definitely compete with other premium brands like continental in terms of grip and comfort.

Wear is good, have used them for more than 110,000km with tire rotation @ every 10,000km and they seem to be able to last at least another 10,000km! However, I can hear a little humming sound coming from the tires already. May decide to change them out earlier if the sound gets louder.

Will definitely consider changing to another new set of mastersteels!

The tire I think is good for its value. Offer comfort close to Primacy series, slightly lose a bit but exchanged for better handling. It is a well balanced tire to me and it is suitable if you are looking for a comfort yet not too soft sidewall kind of tire.

Put them on for 30,000km. Signs of wear shown around 27,000. No complaints for the price. Reliable for dry and wet. Will buy again.

Driving on mostly motorways for 80 average miles
I installed these tires 4 years ago, November 2020, and I have driven 80,000 km on them, exceeded 200 km/h, and entered rough and unpaved areas with them, and they did not complain about anything.

In terms of comfort, smoothness and quietness, I do not remember their condition when I first bought them, but now the quietness is very bad

Driving on a combination of roads for 2100 average miles
Been using these tires for about 2 weeks. So far, dry and wet grip are quite good although felt that the braking distance can be better. No fanfare or felt any loss of traction when going through a water puddles However, steering felt less precise. Notwithstanding, this is a touring tire and I was using a UHP tire with a ‘V’ speed rating before this set of tires. Not sure about the wear as I have just used these tires for about 2 weeks. All in all, a decent tire at a reasonable price.

Driving on mostly motorways for 30000 easy going miles
Have put close to 45,000kms on these tires in harsh Alberta winters with lots of snow and ice roads. First year of use on them was excellent. As the tires aged I noticed a decline in ice performance often spinning out and I'm not an aggressive driver - but is a non-studded tire so i can't completely fault it for that. Also did get stuck a few times in deep snow (4-5" deep) when trying to accelerate from a stop - my vehicle is FWD so it's not entirely the tires fault. Loose powder snow on the paved motorways though has been excellent for the life of the tire and no complaints. Longevity of the tires has been excellent as from new at just over 13/32" of tread I'm now just at 11/32 with regular rotations every 5000kms so no complaints on tread life. The long tread life is maybe from a harder rubber compound used which may explain the drop in ice performance as they aged. All in all no complaints of my purchase but will be looking at studded tires come my next set.

Excellent tire. In the rain, the water flow is impressive. Dry is also good.

My mother just had these put on six weeks ago. She had two flat blown tires in the last three weeks. Never a problem before this.

Currently at about 60,000km on these tires bought during Feb 2021. Observed slight cracks along sidewall. 2 of my tires not rotating straight during balancing. Mechanic feedback another tire seems to be slightly off shape. Didn't really really have the chance to stress test the tires but dry grip is ok. Wet grip was still alright but there was once I e-brake during a rainy day at about 60-70km/h, my car skidded. I think there are better tires out there there with better price. I don't recommend these tires.

My tire was made in France because my market has the same model tire but made in Poland, the tire has good quite sound, response and handling is really amazing. Comfort is good but not better. The best thing in this tire is response and handling "10/10".

Good dry handling and traction, average wet and below expectations on snow as for a winter tire. Noise depends a lot on tire pressure
