Toyo Open Country AT plus rated 87% while driving a Toyota hilux

I put a set of these on a 2000 Toyota hilux and I can't find fault with them, they replaced bfg all terrains an awful tire with very little wet grip, the toyos grip in the wet or dry is excellent and off road in mud the grip if far better than expected. When we fitted them the green circle was lined with the valve stem and out of 5 tires none needed any balance weights fitting. I will definitely buy them again without hesitation, excellent quality.

Used on a Hilux with air lockers and heavy loads. Mine are the LT light truck construction. Constantly being aired down to suit rocky and muddy conditions. Recently completed a 15,000 km road trip around New Zealand S Island doing as many of the high country 4WD tracks as possible. As usual we got some snotty comments from the guys with big MTs but there was nowhere we couldn’t go. We completed some proper hardcore tracks needing low range first and second gear fully locked for long stretches to get up (and down). Tires at ~15-20psi. Truck (which is heavy) handled the long distance tarmac drives no problem at relatively high pressures - 45 front, 60 rear. Long distance gravel roads down south I tend to air down to 30s. Extremely happy with the performance of this tire which is an all round excellent performer. It might not look particularly flash like a lot of these chunky off-road tires but it is very tough. The only time it struggles which is quite funny is in a flat muddy paddock full of cow pats. If the tires get clogged up with mud & poop they can be useless on flat wet grass. Which can be embarrassing…

Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo 3 rated 80% while driving a Honda Element

I’m raring on an overall scale, not specific to AT tires. That’s why you don’t see 10’s everywhere.

I absolutely love these tires, having them on my old Honda Element. For its intended purpose, it’s amazing.

3rd set supercats. 70000 kms last set. Rear wheel drive 15 year old Rodeo ute. Both on and off Queensland atrocious roads. Recommended.

Hifly Super2000 rated 40% while driving a Fiat ducato van

Cheap fitted by RV dealer as he promised to fit new tires. Never trusted them from the start. Fitted to Fiat Ducato Winnebago front tires almost worn out after 14,000kms. Rear tire blew at 105kms/hr without any warning.

Michelin Agilis CrossClimate rated 100% while driving a Citroën New Relay
Driving on a combination of roads for 300 average miles
These tires were recently bought for our Citroen New Relay L4H2 van and have transformed the wet and dry grip. No snow yet but having previous experience of the CrossClimate SUV tire on a private car, which are every bit as good as a full winter tire in the snow , I do not doubt Michelin's claims.

Continental Cross Contact AT rated 48% while driving a Land Rover Defender

These are the summer tires on my Defender and are acceptable. In winter I have BFG A/Ts which are quieter and have better grip/traction on snow and ice. Neither tires have worn much, but when the Contis wear out I'll replace them with a quieter "summer" tire. It's a Defender so I have not exploredred progressiveness or dry grip!!

Bridgestone B250 rated 64% while driving a Kia Motors Unknown

We're on our second set of these on our Kia Sedona. The original set lasted around 12,000 miles which isn't great even considering the weight of the car.

They're sort of a jack of all trades but a master of none; they just do their job in all conditions. Grip on snow/ice is notably better than a dedicated summer tire but the wet performance is probably their real weak point. Dry grip is good but I'd be worried of Bridgestone couldn't make a tire that performed well in the dry.

Road noise/comfort seem ok, no complaints really. Like I said earlier, they just seem to do their job really.

Because of the odd tire size, these are the only tires readily available at most places. There's a lot of 4x4 tires in this size which would be pointless on a Sedona. I'd like to try other tires but it just seems like a lot of hassle to be able to!

Would I buy again? I think I have to...
