Fiat Coupe 20 Valve Turbo Tire Review Highlights

Writing about the Falken ZIEX ZE310 EcoRun given 97% (205-50-16-)
Driving on a combination of roads for 300 average miles
I would normally hold off from doing a review so soon after a just fitting these tires, but these tires are quite impressive for the money. I managed to get 4 tires for around £290, which is cheaper than some of the higher priced "budget" tires. The road noise has reduced significantly from my older tires, ride comfort is decent even in a 24-year-old fiat with lowering springs. Road handling is fine, I've not pushed them to their limits just yet, but I'm quite confident that they wouldn't let me down.

Driving on mostly country roads for 45000 spirited miles
Previously fitted tires were Falken 452's. These Nexen N8000 totally trounce the Falkens. Not regretted buying another great mid range tire. Why buy pemium ?? These N8000 last 20k before a change is required at 3mm tread left. Second set now on.

Driving on mostly town for 150 easy going miles
Ive used kumho ecsta, ku36 & ku39 and found them great value. Great grip up to 8 or 9 tenths but push harder & they start to lose grip. Great in the wet too. They were very comfortable & quiet which made long jrnys much less tiring, this is mostly down to how soft they are specially in the side wall compared to other brands so not the most durable (15 months or 12000 miles on average), the tread lasts longer than the tires grip so it wud still get through MOT but had lost a lot of grip by then. Just had these new HS ones about 150 miles ago so not really pushed them yet but these initially felt even more comfy & wet & dry felt very good..seems to have faded slightly already but cud just b me pushing them without realising it...will update this review once I've had a few more hundred miles & motorway jrnys. Once fully bedded in (100ish miles including motorway speeds) will push them in the corners too.

Driving on a combination of roads for 8000 spirited miles
What can I say? These tires are aweful, wheel spin in 2nd when coming on boost, massive under steer in the dry and don't even mention water to them as they don't like geting wet and they sit on top and try and slide away. Torque steer galour!! Massive squeal on corners, just poor. Very weak tire walls also - tires always looked flat.
No feel as to when they want to break loose, they just do. Needsless to say they did the snow in the winter, got worn down and removed.

Driving on a combination of roads for 240000 spirited miles
Brilliant dry performance , at some expence to cold wet performance (not had any scary moments though) , I have had 3 sets now and quite like them, lasted 8000miles on front and about 16000 on the rear. Got me to work in 3inches of snow. A little pricey.

Driving on a combination of roads for 40000 spirited miles
I am just about to replace my old Goodyear Eagle F1's with a new set and after looking in my records have just realized that my current tires have lasted 3 yrs & 9 months and to be fair the only reason i am changing them now is because of wishbone wear i have worn the N/S/F inner edge and they are starting to get age cracks on the sidewalls but i have figured out that in that time period i have driven over 41,000 miles!!! This is on both Motorways and "normal roads" with all the millions of speed humps around too to say im "IMPRESSED" would be an understatement.
I am a true beliver in paying for good quality tires and you get your money's-worth, performance and road handling.

I would HIGHLY recommend these tires to anybody that are TRUE petrol heads and prepared to pay the money.....

Driving on a combination of roads for 20000 spirited miles
Find the Falkens the best value and performance for money tire. Once warmed up, provides great grip in dry weather, due to being directional, will wheelspin when floored, but stay in line, not wandering like Pirelli, Goodyear or marshall tires. Have been using Falken on a variety of vehicles, always came out tops. Despite hard driving, get on average about 20k out of a set. Great believer in good performance tires, will rather pay more than end up in a ditch.

This is one of the best tires I have used. I have previously used Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3, Toyo proxes T1-R and this tire grips better than both of them in both wet and dry conditions. They also appear to wear very well after 8000 miles the Goodyears were worn out but the Falkens still have a few thousand miles left. They also give a comfortable ride. The fact it is also cheaper to buy than these two tires makes them a bargain. I will be buying again.
