Fitment comes from each tire's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.

How long do tires last on the Subaru Forester?

Across 27 end of life reviews from Subaru Forester drivers, a typical set of tires was worn out after 20,000 miles. Half of all worn-out sets lasted between 2,000 miles and 40,000 miles.

Distances are self-reported by drivers whose review marked the set as worn out; figures are medians, so a single unusual report cannot move them.

Every tire reviewed on the Subaru Forester

The complete record, including discontinued tires and tires with too few reviews to rank, ordered by the amount of evidence. A further 99 tires have a single review each; they count toward the totals but are not listed.

Goodyear Assurance WeatherReady 215-55-16 Subaru Forester 60,000 miles October 28, 2026

Of all the tire sets I've owned, these were so good, with so little to complain about, that I bought another set on closeout! Absolutely, would put them on all my Subarus. Alas, Goodyear has updated so on to something else.

Bridgestone Weather Control A005 225-55-18 Subaru Forester 20,000 miles October 19, 2026

Big chunks from the treads were torn from the tire. İ will try to avoid bridgestone tires from now on. As i see they have a shorter life span.

Falken Ziex ZE001 AS 225-45-17 Subaru Forester 2.5i 23,000 miles September 29, 2026

The tires were OEM on my Subaru Forester. They were great overall. I see them like the Jack off al trades. It is not for sporting driving, but they hold up well in every situation I never used them on Snow or Ice, but city, dirt, mud and highway they did pretty good. I change them because here in Mexico Falken is not a common brand

Yokohama Advan V61 225-55-18 Subaru Forester 2,500 miles September 1, 2026

Bought for my Subaru Forester in Thailand, which is used on road early. The grip all round is good including in heavy rain, albeit I'm not driving a sports car or pushing limits. This tires excels in several areas over the OEM Bridgestone HP Sport; Comfort is much better, Noise is noticeably reduced and Economy, noticed a small improvement but not scientifically tested.

Bridgestone Dueler HP Sport 225-55-18 Subaru Forester 2.5i 45,000 miles August 25, 2026

Wet grip feels ok noting that I drive to the conditions and that the Subaru is awd. Have driven in cold torrential rain (3 deg C) with no issues with aquaplaning noting that I drove to the conditions. Wear has been good except that the outside edge has worn most likely due to the roundabouts. Tires should last to 80,000km noting the worn edges

You really need to warm up to get the grip. Minimum 2 hrs of driving

Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 225-55-18 Subaru Forester 2.0 XT 14,000 miles March 27, 2026
Quiet tire, good dry and very good wet handling even in deep water.
Road impacts are transmitted harshly, maybe because it's XL rated, it was the only option available in 235/55R18 size.
My mistake, I won't buy XL again for my Subaru Forester.

Bridgestone Dueler HP Sport 225-55-18 Subaru Forester 15,625 miles March 17, 2026
OEM on my Subaru Forester in Thailand. They seem to do everything very well. It's not a fast car, but they handle hot dry and wet conditions well and better than I expected given some other reviews, the grip levels on this fitment are excellent, especially in the dry. Ride comfort is fine, but the car itself might flatter here. Slight shoulder wear on fronts at 15k miles, but nothing concerning. I would buy again depending on the deal, but there's a lot of choice in this tire size.

Pirelli Cinturato Winter 3 225-55-17 Subaru forester 2.5xt 5,000 miles March 16, 2026
Had the tires for about 6000km, although, I bought them as I bought the new car (Forester XT), so I couldn't compare it with the platform I already knew. Anyway, I've done about 3000km is some bad weather, snow, mountain passes, ice, and I couldn't believe how good the tires were! Yes, there is a new 4x4 beneath me, but even on slopes in deep snow when I tried to accelerate harder (playing to find the grip) the car just goes, didn't stop. On roundabouts cars in front of me were sliding (icy rain that night) but XT stayed planted (low speed of course). With nicer/hotter weather the rain came, and i was expecting a few (uphill) slips here and there (there are quite a few patches that are really steep and slippery concrete here) and the car was planted (I even stopped and continued at the middle of the slope to see how it would've coped, and it was like I was on level ground, not even TC kicked in, nothing). When I got the feel for the car I tried to push it couple of times just to try to see what's it like on the limit, and it's so hard to get any of the systems to activate (ABS, TC, a bit of slip). One time, since I come from 20 years of driving hot hatches, I did enter more aggressive into a long right hand turn during rain, and the back end stepped out but nicely, it wasn't snappy, totally controllable (I know it's not too much of a useful info for this type of car/application, but still). Either way, it can't all be down to the car, tires made the connection with the surface, and the smile on my face (surprise) was the same when I tried Super Sports fro the first time on my JCW more then 10 years ago. Anyway, now I'm thinking of buying Cinturatos for the summer!

These are the original tires on my vehicle, which is a 2022 Subaru. I drive 40000 miles a year and am currently at 132000 miles and have been told they should be good for another 10000 miles. They handle great on wet roads, which I really love. I can't believe these tires have lasted so long...I guess it is mainly highway miles so maybe that makes a difference. I am not bothered by road noise but i am usually listening to music or a podcast. I will definitely purchase a new set when needed.
