My advice - consider something else if you can. Changed from old favourite Dunlop SP2000E to Goodyear Excellence and difference was immediate on my Bora. Changed all 4 and as I couldn't get usual brand I was recommended to go for these by local independent supplier, but on reflection I think he was just trying to shift stock. Fuel consumption went up by 10% - yep, you've read it right, and that's despite v. careful driving. So dramatic was the change that I had diagnostic check to see if car had changed in any way, but checked out 100%. Only when researching tire did I find reviews that gave tire poor rolling resistance. Beware.

These are good on dry and wet road conditions. Would not drive them on icey road conditions. The ride is smooth but could be much better considering they are made by GOODYEAR. WEAR - Very very bad for the price. Did not last even 14k miles on the front on both M & A roads and driving within speed limits. Performance is good but wear is bad, would not buy them again.

I have had 2 sets of Pirelli P6000`s on my car over the last three and a half years. I read reviews of the Goodyear Excellence and fitted a set of four about three months ago. They are superb!!!! I can corner 10 mph quicker in perfect safety. The grip is incredible in all wethers on all surfaces. I simply cannot believe how good they are. The Pirelli P6000`s are good tires, so I was amazed by the performance of thes eExcellence tires. I will definitely buy another set when the currnet ones need replacing.

Dull, Dull, Dull ! I was advised to fit these by a national chain as a replacement for some noisy but effective Dunlop Sportmaxx. Whilst the A4 ain't no sports car they turned it into a pedestrian family saloon with no real feedback - it felt like driving a brick with 4 pram wheels. The only virtue I found with these tires was their quietness and after a week I did my research, bit the bullet and bought a replacement set of Continental Sport Contact 3's - absolutely brilliant on the A4 for virtually the same price !

Replaced front OE GY NCT5's with Excellence 2 weeks ago and approx 500 miles since then. Hugely disappointed with the skittery feel on uneven surfaces and tram-lining effect if a ridge is encountered in the road. Steering feed-back is generally poor compared with the NCT5's. They lasted 23000 miles on the front with 2.5mm left. From this blog I would not expect the same wear performance from these so-called "Excellence". Like the asymmetric design but the hard ride and poor road manners exhibited by these tires are unacceptable for a relatively expensive tire. This model Vectra has odd size tires so the choice was limited. I wish I had bought NCT5's or another more expensive make. Thankfully I only have the car for another 6 months, but it may be a long winter! Can't wait to change the car!

A good, reasonably priced tire. Driven all year on mix of motorways and A/B roads. Comfortable ride. Reasonable grip in wet and dry, gave plenty of feedback. Only average wear, but overall perfectly reasonable and would consider again.

For the third time in ten months, I have had to replace a tire with a unrepairable split in the side wall, while there has been 6/8mm of tread left on the tire. No rim damage on any of these occasions. What is the point of low profile tires if the side walls are so weak that they cannot cope with average use?

Very good tire, much better then my old Michelin PS Sport tires. Good handling and lot of comfort.

The Goodyear Excellence was fitted as standard to the car from new. Initially it was very good, great dry grip and handling, assured in the wet. After 4000 miles the tires were about half worn and the grip in the wet soon started to suffer. They needed a change after 8000 miles, but this is average for the heavy front end Focus ST.
Had the Conti Sport Contacts 2 next and they were slightly better.

Wore faster than my previous Falkens. Level of grip deteriorated seriously when tires got to 3mm and in the wet aquaplaned a lot. Not worth thr price, would much prefer to go back to my Falken 452 that were on my previous car...

I replaced a set of Vredestein Sportrac 3 with these and was surprised to find BETTER grip (the Vreds are brilliant themselves). Very progressive tires, in the wet or the dry and they're still really good even though the inner shoulders are gone. Wear rate was better than the Vreds, which only lasted 10k. These have done 12,000 on the fronts. Overall: Comfortable ride, quiet and very confidence inspiring but i'm not sure about the wear rate. Not bad given the rather heavy 5 pot diesel engine I suppose but it may put me off fitting them again on cost per mile grounds....

Was recommended these as a replacement for the Goodyear Eagle F1's I previously had fitted. And decided to put them on the front but after 3 days of under steer dangerous handling in corners and no feedback I quickly put them on the rear where there still have less grip and handling than the originally warn out F1's. They are probably ok for a heavy car but AVOID if you plan to use them on a light sports car.
