Given 73% while driving a Volkswagen Mk3 Cabriolet 2.0 (195/50 R15) on mostly town for 2,000 spirited miles
Replaced the original BBS alloys on our 20 year old 2.0 MkIII Golf Carbriolet last year as they were corroded so replaced the worn Pirelli P6000 (fronts) and Goodyear Efficient Grip (rears) with these Nexen. They came recommended as we were looking for tires with good dry grip as its often parked-up on all but the sunniest days! These meet the brief - huge amount of feedback compared to the old set in the dry, giving much more confidence to push on. Fuel economy has improved with the trip computer recording 41-46mpg on recent runs, up from around 36-39mpg before. The downsides - there is some tire noise noticeable on a good surface at 40mph however this is not usually a problem as engine and wind noise is more significant on the old cabrio! Also, the couple of times driven in the wet, the feedback that is there in the dry fades and the steering become noticeably light (no ESP here!). However grip is still available in the wet. Too early to assess wear but still look like new at 2Kmiles
Excellent value on the lightweight summer Cabrio but would hesitate to put on the family Volvo V70...

Honda (205/70 R15 T) on a combination of roads for 10,000 spirited miles
Fitted a full set to my 2001 Honda CR-V which is driven hard about 10,000 miles ago and am impressed and surprised. They are wearing slowly and have strong grip in the dry and exceptionally good grip and precision in the wet. Not much balancing needed either. As they are wearing there is a little more road noise on coarse surfaces than I would like but the car is prone to this. Overall I am very impressed at the price and would buy again.

There's a new all season tire, can it be best?!
Given 63% while driving a Honda Civic (175/65 R14 H) on a combination of roads for 0 average miles
Not bad cheap tire, very good value for money buy. Negative sides are noise, which gets to you on long rides and wear. Their thread depth is nothing to write home about from new, let alone after 5, 10k miles. Best thing abut them is how they handle when cornering: very assured, no understeer whatsoever, they literally feel grippy. Wet braking is decent, dry braking is nothing spectacular, but nothing dangerous as well. Fuel consumption is very low, even unrealistic.

Given 50% while driving a Toyota Avensis (215/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 11,000 easy going miles
I purchased a full set last year when a friend recommended them. Usually I manage between 18 - 24k on a set of tires however these Nexens have 11k miles under their belt and I've just replaced them. After 6 months I rotated front to back as the fronts were down to 3mm. Dry grip is good but in the wet they have very little traction and makes driving "interesting". The only good point with these tires is the way they deal with standing water when driving in a straight line - the huge width of the grooves displaces all the water and hydroplaning never happens. I've reverted back to Maxxis tires as I had a set before the Nexens and they gave me 18k miles and the wet grip is phenomenal for the price.

Given 41% while driving a Nissan Elgrand Rider 3.5L (225/45 R17) on mostly motorways for 13,000 spirited miles
I had a new set put on when I purchased my van. They have performed well in terms of grip, but the wear is pitiful. I've done 13,000 miles, the fronts are on the limit and the rears are down to 3mm. I don't buy budget tires for this reason, it's a false economy, spend £20-30 more per tire and get 3 times the lifespan, it's a no-brainier.

Given 91% while driving a Renault Koleos (225/60 R17 V) on a combination of roads for 6,000 average miles
In fact, I was astonished how can this cheap tire worked like much more expensive Nokian tire. It is litle noisy but I don't hear it much in this car. Otherwise, for normal driving very recommended. Will buy it again!

Given 83% while driving a Renault espace mk3 (205/65 R15 R) on a combination of roads for 10,000 average miles
I've had these on my Mark 3 diesel Renault Espace for the past 10000 miles. I chose these because they seemed to have the best review of any budget tire in the price range. I have been going on country lanes and up and down the M20. The car has always behaved excellently - some noise on the motorway (depending on the road surface) but I would recommend them to anyone.

These are not bad tires. You may want to check the professionals reviews, but I would recommend them to a driver who wants good quality for the money.
