I bought a set of 4 tires. the first years of snow were excellent. They performed best for me on a wet road. Not once did I aquaplan or get wet. I drive slowly because I'm always with the kids, I really lie on the gas. excellent price and quality.

Fitment comes from each tire's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.
How long do tires last on the Volvo XC60 D5 AWD Auto?
Across 13 end of life reviews from Volvo XC60 D5 AWD Auto drivers, a typical set of tires was worn out after 26,000 miles. Half of all worn-out sets lasted between 9,000 miles and 41,000 miles.
Distances are self-reported by drivers whose review marked the set as worn out; figures are medians, so a single unusual report cannot move them.

What Volvo XC60 D5 AWD Auto drivers say
The most recent owner reviews from this car, in their own words.
The tires got really bad while aging. I don't know if I had tires from a bad lot, but they were extremely noisy.
When they had about 5 mm tread left, the snow grip got really bad and I decided to replace them with Continental TS870P.
I would not recommend them for heavy cars like my Volvo XC60 D5 AWD.
They were very good on wet and dry roads when new and also when aged. But the winter (snow, ice) performance was not making me feel safe, therefore I replaced them immediately as the snow handling got bad.
Very safe tires. Confidence while driving but not sporty. But I have a 2 tonne suv so it's not sporty to begin with.
Aquaplaning performance seemed quite good even with just around 4 mm left.
Honestly I was positively surprised as my father had the EcoContact 5's as Oem Tires and they were horrible in the Wet.
All in all a Ok tire for very defensive/relaxed drivers but not for people who want to have reserves in Wet and bad weather.
Snow traction was quite good in a 2 tonne all wheel driven XC60.
The biggest issue was that if the vehicle started to slip the recovery time was just atrocious. Even just feathering the brakes they would lock up once traction loss occurred.
As an all season tire in milder climates it's surely quite good but in the region I live in, I'm going to change for the Hankook icept Evo 3 X's for the next winter.
I wasn't able to thoroughly test them in Hot/Summer Weather though, as they were swapped for Summer wheels, when temperatures reached 20° C they seemed pretty grippy and stable though.
I have driven around 15k miles and the tread has worn evenly, although I have rotated them every 5k, there is still 7mm+ tread (started at 10mm). Outer shoulders slightly more worn but that is more down to my driving. I would definitely consider buying these again.
I may return them for the OEM even though they were not the best in snow.
What amazed me with those tires is the grip and security they give during heavy raining or slush. They provided excellent control at high speed during a heavy snow storm in Germany in December while the highway was not properly cleaned. And they are always secure through water puddles on the highway or when driving through heavy rain.
One drawback is the increased fuel consumption (~1 liter/100 km) while driving on rain.
There is noticeable tread wear on the front axle but I did not measure the remaining tread depth, yet.
One characteristic is the noticeable noise and steering wheel vibration during cornering at low speeds (10-20 km/h).
The highway driving noise is particularly high pitched, but not disturbing.
I am satisfied with these tires and would recommend them for anyone driving through snow, slush or rain.
Dry braking seems a bit worse than with the summer Continental Premium Contact 6 tires, but was never a practical issue.
