Kumho Ecsta PS31 Reviews - Page 5

Given 81% while driving a Volkswagen Jetta 1.4 TSI (225/45 R17) on a combination of roads for 5,500 average miles
Im using 225/45/17 on my 160hp Jetta 1.4 TSI. As a first time Kumho user, honestly i do not have much confidence. Because of the price, i give a try. I still remember on the first day on those donut, it was a heavy rainny day, the wet grip is totally different with others brand which im willing to give 9 out of 10. Its a really comfort & quite tire. I've been using the tire around 5500 miles, no issues on balancing & alignment so far. The only thing need to be improve on this tire was the road feedback feeling. Others all good above average. Good one from Kumho!

Toyota Vios (195/50 R15 V) on mostly motorways for 0 spirited miles
One of the nicest feeling about using this tire is that it feels light at the steering wheel, it is easy to steer and also when I release the parking brakes even though the surface is just a mild non-level surface, the car and still move with ease and there is not much gas pedal that is needed to be press. The wet grip is superb where you usually feel like the car slightly shift to the left or to the right but with the Kumho Ecsta PS31 it does not feel like that. For the dry grip, because I usually do spirited driving like going through mountain pass and also a weekend track car and use the tire as a daily drive as well, the dry grip is a good feeling and confidence going through the corner at high speed feels like almost close to the feeling like "on rail". The tire is quiet where I can't hear any tire noise and because it is a 50 ratio, the road feedback is nice especially when spirited driving. I recommend this tire for those you want to go for a UHP tire but can't afford it, this is the tire to go when you want a UHP and budget tire.
