Absolutely fantastic tires despite the negative reviews to the contrary. I suspect that the negative reviews are on purpose to simply put people off by the competition. I have had these on my Skoda Superb for a while now and after approximately 20,000 miles they are simply the best tires I personally have ever had.
I wouldn't consider any other tire unless of course Continental release a better tire however these are as close to perfection as I have ever got!!!

Excellent tires I've done almost 30,000 miles on a set just ordered another pair for front of my 2017 Prius. Improve fuel economy to average around 75 mpg. Simply the best on a hybrid such as mine weather they will be as good on a different car is another story

Conti eco contact 6, 165/70 R14T second set of them on my 98 Corolla. This set has 73000 Km done in one and half years. Town and highway traffic mostly. For normal everyday driving they seem perfect. Being a pure summer tire, they do feel a bit “soapy” when it gets below 5 degree Celsius so driving style needs to be adjusted. Other than that the grip is great dry and wet, fuel consumption is about half a litre per one hundred km less than the set of budget constancy tires I had a few years back. For normal driving above 5 degrees I can only recommend them.

Factory fit on my Kia Sportage Hybrid. I have travelled 12500 miles in 10 months on these tires and had seven punctures, all caused by stones piercing the carcass of the tire. The design of the tread collects small stones, 50+ of them in each tire and the carcass must be very thin. I've never had this before in 30 years of driving, same roads and type of driving and my other car which does similar mileage on the same roads hasn't had a puncture in years. Judging by complaints on Kia forums this is not uncommon. After four repairs and three replacement tires i've abandoned them and have swapped them out for a different tire.

They are fine in the dry and generally not a bad tire for wet grip on a heavy SUV. The are undoubtedly good for fuel consumption as the replacement tires are denting that slightly but whats the point in saving a few quid in fuel if you need to replace a £150 tire every few months as you get a puncture?! If you buy thee tires i'd recommend you get yourself a space saver spare tire.

Quite simply, the worst tires I have ever had the misfortune to endure. OEM on my new Fiesta, I am happy because I am replacing these tires tomorrow morning! They have loads of miles left in them, but they just feel unsafe in the wet and I can't continue without confidence in them.
The highlights are they have probably saved me a few quid in fuel and they are relatively comfortable and quiet. The downsides are they are appalling in the wet, particularly so in deeper water where aquaplaning becomes the norm. In the dry, they understeer at the merest hint of enthusiastic driving, so absolutely no fun to be had. They are to be replaced with Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 6's tomorrow and I can't wait.

Very dangerous in the wet, I've already flown out of the curve twice!!!

These tires were factory-fitted on my car. There are much better tires out there with lower price. Not recommended.

Dead tires after 20,000km

The worst tires I have ever had on a vehicle. The walls are terribly weak in comparison to any other tire I have used.
Doesn't matter if it's a shallow pothole, these do not survive.

I have got tire warranty with national tires and I have had 8 tires replaced in 11 months. It's always the walls bulging or popping.

25 years of driving experience and never seen anything like it

The car came fitted with this tire and after about 10k km I think that I can share my opinion with them. To start with the good things i will say that the tire is comfortable, has low fuel consumption(my 2.0tsi arteon cand average between 5-5.5l/100km when driven normally) , not very noisy and the wear is very good(yes they have aprox. 6.5-6.7 when new but after 10k km they have worn less than 1mm). Emergency braking în dry on normal and rough tarmac is good but over very smooth roads it is shockingly bad. The dry handling is also average and If you start to push the car înto bends it does lean and start to understeer quiet a lot(fwd car may also influence this, but it does seem a bit much). Without a doubt the worst part of the eco contact 6 is its wet grip. I haven't had any issues with aquaplaning but the wet traction is horrible. I can barely start from a standstill at anything but a sedated pace without wheelspin. Also at one time I could barely crawl to a start on a hill during a rainy day with the esp kicking in multiple times.
All in all I think that if you want a comfortable, efficient tire that is not noisy and you drive sedately this tire might satisfy your needs. But if you are driving a relatively heavy car and looking for a tire that has above average grip and are concearned about handling I think that there are much better options out there.

In city/town speed use I have no major problems. However last year passing through Austria on the motorway late at night in heavy rain the tires had ‘moments of tire grip loss in straight lines when the vehicle had done less than 6000 miles from new and therefore the tread depths were good.
At just under 12000 miles I have 3mm front and 4-4.5mm rear left so I don’t think tire wear is very good but I do except that PHEV’s and Fully electric vehicles are heavier and wear quicker.
My local driving is mostly short journeys on electric and I pride myself on the smoothness of my driving which I think is chauffeur like. Once on the motorways or in bad weather they are not as good as I would expect for an expensive tire. I’m now considering fitting an all season tire such as the Michellin cross contact 2

I wish I had found this site sooner. These Continental EcoContact 6’s were the factory-fitted tire on my car and with all of the recent torrential wet weather I’ve noticed that they are somewhat unstable on wet road surfaces and really knock your confidence driving on them.
You can find the limit of wet grip quite quickly such as sliding when joining a motorway sliproad from a roundabout or even getting unwanted wheelspin on mini-roundabouts.
It feels as if the front tires are struggling to bite into the surface, I think the EU tire lane A-rating for wet grip is a bit of a gimmick especially for what is probably a very hard, low rolling resistant compound.
The tread depth is at mid wear point of 4-5mm, but the lack of wet grip has been persistent from the start and I can only imagine it’ll get worse.
I would not recommend these tires for a LWB estate/SW car, I would probably opt for an Avon ZV7 or Hankook ventus prime 3 as a replacement as both perform very well in the wet from previous experience.
