I have these tires for 3 years. Imported from Japan because like many good things they are not available in Europe. I' ve been to some Hot lap competition back then and i was really disappointed. It was close to freezing and i couldn't make them work properly no matter what , in those 2 laps. I was running out of the track and spun , locked the brakes multiple times in practice and completely lost confidence.
However, yesterday in normal conditions i've been to the same track ( Karting track- very technical) to properly try them vs my AD08RS i use every day.
First feeling wasn't that good starting with 2.2 BAR cold. Just the 3rd lap they were good.
When i checked the lap times they were 2 seconds faster than the brand new Yokohama. Dropping the pressure to 2.2 BAR hot ,more than 3 seconds. Also the feeling improved a lot compared with the feeling i had on higher pressure .
Prelude being FWD and very safe in general on these tires the feeling of rotation was very close to the feeling i have driving my S2000 to the limit. Still easy to control no matter how much i pushed them . Getting in the trance i felt like my internal organs were mixing and the parts of the car were flying but the car was still going where i wanted and faster in the corners than i ever drove before.
Lap times were good enough to be on the podium in the last Hot lap. Even if is double wishbone all around , 10 ball joints and definitely the best FWD car ever made for handling ! is still not far from stock and very poor weight/ power ratio compared with specially built cars.
I just can't believe tires like these are available in Walmart or places like that for everyone but not for passionate drivers in Europe.
After coming home on the highway for 6 hours they were smooth again , just some slight wear on the outside.
They say in US these tires win every competition in the class and i am sure is true.
For Japanese cars , not very heavy and not extremely powerful, driven on track in normal weather they really do miracles.

Fitment comes from each tire's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.

What Honda Prelude drivers say
The most recent owner reviews from this car, in their own words.
I wrote a review for these on my Honda Prelude before but yesterday i did a comparison on track vs Re71Rs.
Gap ? 3 seconds. Slower for Ad08RS of course. Still i would have been in the middle of the classification out of 100 cars in the last "hot lap" event based on lap times.
Karting track. Pure Handling.
Most of the gap between these and Bridgestone was because unpredictability under very hard driving.
Tires can handle some hard driving but not extremely hard. They start squealing early and the brakes lock up quickly with no ABS.
They are better in tight corners.
For learning and practicing they are ok tho.
Interesting was the fact they behave the same starting from 2.2 BAR and going to 2.7 hot or starting 2.2 HOT and much lower pressure when cold. Warming up wasn't really necessary.
Wear is really low. Almost non existent after few sessions.
Definitely recommend for spirited driving where car is not used at full capabilities.
I rate these things somewhere between UHP and real semi slicks.
A bit noisy but perfect all rounder whether you drive in the city or on the highway. Both wet and dry grip is exceptional in the first years of use and I had to let go of them after 6 years of spirited driving and approximately 2 hours of track time - upon observing patches that shed over the shoulders.
Might be decent tires for a family sedan but not the best choice for a coupe driven spiritedly. Grip and noise degradation were noticable by the 4th year. In all aspects, better than Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance and nowhere near Michelin PS3s on this car.
These tires deploy thin membranes trying to pass as sidewalls, hence they pose a delay between the road and steering wheel as well as an attenuation of road features translated. Not recommended for spirited driving or GT but may save fuel they claim.
I am glad i didn't.
Most people compare these with specially built track tires. But they are not track tires !
They can handle some abuse or maybe practice sessions but track is not their main purpose.
For spirited driving these tires are awesome!
Very good grip, very predictable. Neutral behavior on my perfectly set from factory FWD Honda Prelude. Don't need warming up in normal or hot temperatures. Unlike semi slicks they are just ready to go . I don't care about lap times anyway because i was choosing these for having fun on mountain roads , driving at 70 % of car's limit.
In another league compared with used Turanza and other summer tires i had before.
Also they are known for good wear compared to most tires of this type.
For street use and spirited driving these tires are all i need. Also cheap for UHP tires.
I hope i will test them on track this year against my Re71Rs . I don't expect miracles but i am sure they will be better than most summer tires available. I will write another review if there is the case.
I came across these after the owner of my local tire shop (who I know well) recommended them to me. I was a little skeptical at first, since I origninally wanted a set of Bridgestone’s, but he said these would do the same job for approx £200 less.
Straight away I was surprised by how different the car felt after the change. The steering felt more responsive, and the car felt more compliant over bumps. The handling is very predictable and compared to previous tires there's virtually no tire squeal, even if I really push. I've only driven with them a few times in the rain, but they feel perfectly fine and stable even in heavy downpours. I guess the big question for me is if I regret not buying the Bridgestone’s? And I'm happy to report that I don't. For my type of driving, they do everything I ask, and I've never found myself wishing I had more grip even on some spirited drives.
The negatives: Compared to the previous set of Yokohama’s I had on the car, there's not quite as much feel through the steering wheel. It's not a big problem for me, as my car has adjustable shocks, so a few more clicks of rebound and that feel comes back. But it's worth mentioning for those who are looking for a sportier tire. The only other negative I would mention is the looks. I feel a bit daft for saying that, as I've never really cared how my tires look on the car, but after coming from other brands, these look like economy tires by comparison. But this is hardly a big issue, just a small note. Overall, these tires are the best I've experienced on the car yet, which is high praise from me, so I would absolutely buy them again.
Tire is a lot quieter than PS4, but it is not a quiet tire. Wet grip exists, but it is not great.
