BFGoodrich’s Advantage fails to achieve a good rating mainly because of poor wet performance and higher wear. Dry-road steering feedback and stability are good, but braking distances are long. On wet roads, braking, aquaplaning and handling are only fair or sufficient, leading to early under- or oversteer. Predicted mileage and efficiency are good, but abrasion is slightly elevated. Across 16 summer-tire tests, the BFGoodrich Advantage shows a clear split personality: it can deliver very strong subjective comfort/NVH and occasional high points in wet handling, but it struggles to be consistently competitive in objective wet braking and broader wet-grip metrics. Overall results cluster in the mid-pack to lower-mid pack (average overall position 12.1), with one standout podium (2nd/8 in 2025 Moottori) but several finishes near the bottom in more competitive group tests (e.g., 9/10 in 2022 AZ SUV; 8/9 in 2021 ACE/GTU).

The most repeatable positives are refinement (comfort/noise) and generally respectable efficiency (rolling resistance/fuel consumption often upper-mid), while the most repeatable negatives are wet braking distance and wet grip/handling balance in large group tests (often bottom third, sometimes bottom five).
