205/55 19 Tire Review Highlights

Kleber Quadraxer 3 rated 94% while driving a Citroën C5 X hybrid 225

I had this tire on my shortlist. My priorities were good wet grip, ride comfort, and the ability to tackle anything Winter throws at them.

I have not encountered any snow despite making two round trips through the Alps this Winter. These tires are excellent for cruising as they are quiet and absorb a lot of the imperfections in the road. Wet grip is excellent and also their aqua plane resistance. They were a lot better value than Michelin Cross Climate 2’s, and it will be interesting to see how long the Klebers last.

This is the first time I have bought Kleber tires, and I will certainly continue to buy them. The only thing I would like to see would be an option for rim protectors.

Goodyear EfficientGrip Compact rated 42% while driving a Citroën
Driving on a combination of roads for 500 easy going miles
Car has only done 550 miles and I am going to change the tires. The factory fitted Goodyear transmit road noise even on smooth roads. Makes long distanc driving very annoying.

These were the OEM tires on my Citroën C5X. If you approach it with the knowledge that it is not a Pilot Sport 4S, you will be completely convinced of its main qualities! (fuel saving, quiet rolling noise, good comfort, long lasting)

A good choice for every Plug-in Hybrid or EV car, definitely will fit them (or their replacement) again!

Driving on a combination of roads for 4000 easy going miles
Replaced Michelin Primacy 3 with these. Intitial feeling is that tryes are less confortable (not by much) and a little noisier than Michelins but wear, grip, handling and feedback looks to be much better. Obviously I do not need sporty type of tire for soft SUV and from that point of view they seem like perfect match with a car dynamics (or lack of it). They seem to be well balanced tires. I will see what will happen once I put additional miles in them.

Davanti DX640 rated 57% while driving a Vauxhall Grandland X Ultimate

Bought a one year old Grandland X that had just had a pair fitted to the front. I was wary but intially suprised that they seemed to be fine in sun and acceptable in the wet . After 17000 miles they were down to 4mm dry grip remained okay but wet grip completely disappeared to where i couldnt pull out at a junction without them slipping so had to get them changed. Probably the better end of budget and ive had worse tires in the last but they arent for me and I woudlnt buy them myself.

Driving on mostly country roads for 9000 easy going miles
Tires came fitted to the car. It is OK tire but the wear is dreadful especially on front tires. The best quality is high comfort and solid grip in dry conditions. On wet they can spin quite quick and aquaplaning and grip properties do not encourage you to test the limits. Will definitely not buy again due to cost / performance ratio once the replacement time comes and it will come soon besed on high wear.
