Fitment comes from each tire's manufactured size list, and the sizes are the ones drivers reported when they reviewed. Check the size, load index and speed rating on your own doorplate before buying - a size a previous owner ran is not always the size your car left the factory on.

How long do tires last on the Opel Insignia?

Across 19 end of life reviews from Opel Insignia drivers, a typical set of tires was worn out after 30,000 miles. Half of all worn-out sets lasted between 15,000 miles and 34,000 miles.

Distances are self-reported by drivers whose review marked the set as worn out; figures are medians, so a single unusual report cannot move them.

Bridgestone Turanza T005 225-55-17 Opel Insignia B 1,864 miles October 13, 2026

Good manevrability on wer or drie roads. Good on emergency brakes also. My first set was from 2019 and lasted until 2024 on like 35 146 miles. On my car I have just Bridgestone tires, on my last job car I have Debica who lasted like max. 2 seasons and 9320 miles

Leao Nova Force 245-40-19 Opel Insignia A 12,000 miles September 17, 2026

On Opel Insignia A 1.8 petrol. Have them for 2 summer seasons, 20000+ km or 12000 miles. So far so good. Very satisfied. Speed is always on allowed limit maybe 10 kmph + on highway. Uploaded pics front and back. tread at the middle is above 6 mm in the edges goes down to 5mm or 4mm. Still running. No issues. Good choice for everyday driving.

Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6 235-50-18 Opel Insignia B 20,000 miles August 4, 2026

After 20000 miles I can rate these as very good tires. I have tried to assign score in each category according to my experiences with other all season tires I have driven (Pirelli SF3, Vredestein Quatrac, Bridgestone A005 evo and Toyo Celsius 2) and not compare it to specialized summer or winter tires.
On family estate car I find them great in both dry and wet. Since we do not have much snow here, I have driven on snow for only a few days and it felt good enough and safe. I have not observed any apparent disadvantage to winter tires (I live in a lowland country type with not many steep hills).
From the comfort perspective they seem to be on the firmer side and they needed quite a lot of miles to became quieter. On the other hand, thanks to the firmness the car feels stable even at high motorway speeds.
Overall, I would recommend them especially if you want an all season tire that feels closer to summer tire.
Fuel consumption seems to be a tiny bit lower (2-3%) in comparison to previous Conti SportContact 5.
I am definitely getting another set for the secomd car this autumn.

Hankook Ventus Evo 245-45-18 Opel insignia 4,000 miles July 17, 2026

I did 4000 km, so I can share my initial impression.

Excellent wet/dry grip- perfect behavior on road-steering response feel sporty, I go higher speed in curve as it was with Bridgestone turanza005
Fuel compsuption max 0.1l higher to my previous tires- I expected worse.
Rim protection perfect.
Tires really glides on road- I feel car starts accelerate downhill faster.

What is the weak point is noise - they makes hummling noise in 80-100 kmph. I did 2 times wheel alignement, switch back to front- no change. Change tire pressure to 2.6/2.2 bar- almost same..Winter tires no signs of simillar noise. This happens only when si sunny hot day, When is max w25 and cloudy then it´s ok

Comfort in terms of bumpy road is ok.
I would say, not great, not terrible.

Minerva Radial F 205 245-40-19 Opel insignia 15,000 miles June 13, 2026
The braking distance on wet surfaces is much longer compared to its peers. My 2016 Insignia was sliding from the back when I took sharp turns on dry roads, even though it's front-wheel drive. I switched to Kumho Ecsta Sport PS72 and it became perfect.

Bridgestone Turanza T005 245-45-18 Opel Insignia B 30,000 miles May 9, 2026
T005 was originally mounted on Opel Insignia B. After 5 years on car and 35000km drive and it’s time to replace them. Well, these tire is like love-hate relationship. T005 has strong and weak sides. Top highlight these tire is fuel consumption - really low, even 0,5 liters lower as wintercontact 870 in long term statistic, some routes I could reach 4.5 l/100km with 200hp on 40km long journey.

Pros:
Fuel consumption
Dry grip

Cons:
Too loud- bad annoying noise no matter of pressure/speed
Weak wet grip/handling
average steering response

In my opinion I would not recommend this tire because it,s not all rounded wheel but primarily focused on low rolling resistance.

Continental WinterContact TS 870 P 245-25-18 Opel Insignia B 20,000 miles March 29, 2026
I have been using 870P for 2 years and I can honestly say this tire is excellent. The best winter tire I ever had.
Dry handling/traction excellent.
Wear is OK,
Wet handling - all good
Ice/snow- I would say the weakest part of tire. Comfort fantastic - definetely quiter than summer Bridgestone Turanza t005…
Consumption - not so big diference to summer tire.

I have them on Opel Insignia- recommend to all!

Hankook Winter I cept RS3 225-55-17 Opel Insignia A 2,300 miles March 4, 2026
These are my first winter tires (it's my first car) so I can't really compare them to other tires on this car. Tires are quite loud and on dry roads in higher speed corners they feel elastic, almost like the car is gliding latteraly. Fuel consumption is higher than on my summer tires (about half a liter more per 100km). After 3800km, wear is pretty good, still around 7mm of tire tread left. One specific thing I must praise them for is the snow grip. We had a lot of snow this year and grip was impeccable! They really make you feel secure and rarely loose traction. For the price they are great. Definitely would recommend them.

Minerva All Season Master 245-45-18 Opel Insignia B 8,000 miles January 26, 2026
Insignia b 2.0d 170 4x4. In dry conditions, the feel, steering response, cornering, and braking are very good. In wet conditions, it's also very good, with minimal understeer. In snow, it's very good from a standstill, braking is a bit weaker, and it's worst on snow and ice in tight corners; the car tends to pull out sideways. For FWD, it's probably only for city driving; for 4x4, I'd probably buy it again.

Firestone Firehawk Sport 245-35-20 Opel insignia 10 miles December 16, 2025
I came from a hankook ventus s1 evo3 . But they had pretty bad dry cracks even before the tire ran out of life . I have 245/35/20 tires . the comfort on the firestones are a little bit worse then the hankooks . i could run the hankooks on 2.5 bar , these on 2.3 for the same comfort . i think the firestones are a bit more fuel efficient , even when they are on a lower tire pressure . Dry grip is very good , never lost any traction , even in the rain . aquaplanning is also very good , never had any feel of losing controle .
So far i ran the tires around 15.000 km and lost 1.5mm out of the 5.5mm tread on the front , and only lost 0.5 on the back . so i think ill get aroud 60.000km out of it if i switch them every year . Found out they have like 0 traction on snow , keep that in mind .
