BMW 520d Tourer Tire Review Highlights
Bought these tires last year for my 2015 520d, id never buy them but my tire shop was selling them for really cheap with little bit older dot (2023), seemed good for ice and snow, rain is ok but during heavy rain i didnt feel much what the tires were doing, on autobahn when you first hit some snow on the road going over 80kmh the car would wiggle a bit but then it was stable, comfort and noise are ok but there is a really annoying noise from the tires above 130-140kmh.
Overall i would not recommend them as they cost as much as hankook or falken, but the polaris 6 seems to have a lot better reviews than polaris 5 so it might be a much better tire.
They are still above 8mm tread after around 5000-6000km so wear is good.

Bought my 2015 f10 520d with 210k kms 2 years ago had these tires but *star branded OE bmw, the car now has nearly 290k kms and these tires are still around 4.5mm of tread left after more than 80.000 kilometers of driving, all 4 tires are the same and i rotate them roughly every 15.000kms but i am impressed by wear of these tires even tho its a 2liter diesel, the previous owner bought these tires i would personally never buy tires like these for a 2.0diesel 5 series but overall the wear is really good, noise has always been relatively quiet and comfort is ok, altho its a luxury line 5 series so i cannot really comment on comfort much as ive only had winter tires on to compare and they are about the same, fuel consumption has always been around 6.5l to 7l per 100km in this car with these tires, they have been good in the wet also never felt the car struggle even when giving it some power in the rain, im not sure how the normal ps91 is compared to the *star branded OE but i have been quite impressed with these tires, especially the wear, as i drove maybe 5000km on winter tires and everything else was done on these ps91*
When these tires are done i will def put some touring tires on the car as i feel these UUHP are not really needed.
Cant comment too much about handling as ive never really pushed the car just driven fast in straight line.

I've had these KU39 tires on the rear of my BMW 520d touring for the last 14 months. Unfortunately 1 tire blew out through the side wall whilst towing a caravan, however I blame it on the pot holes and state of the roads. The other rear tire has just reached its end of life at 20,500 miles, and whilst I could drive another 2000-3000 miles the winter is approaching and its better to get some extra depth of tread.
This is the 3rd set of Kumho's I've had on my BMW and I do enjoy them. They are quite, comfortable and grippy both wet and dry. The last set I had lasted 23,000 miles, so these ones are a little less. Generally they wear similar to Hankook tires but are cheaper, although I've found I can get longer wear out of Contiental tires, but they are not as comfortable as the Kumho's.

Great tires for the price! 23,500 miles and 15 months driving before they were down to minimum wear markers and needed replaced, which on my BMW F11 520D rear wheel drive seems to be about average life expectancy. Tires never lost grip once, wet or dry. I would have preferred if they lasted at bit longer, but I tow a caravan about in the summer months which probably shortens their life. They seemed to get a little noiser when they were well worn down.

My previous runflats (have had Pirelli and Bridgestone) were getting to the end of their life so I thought this would be an ideal opportunity to switch to normal tires. After reading endless reviews I selected the Goodyears and boy did I make the correct decision. The tires have transformed the car in virtually ever department. They grip like crazy in both dry and wet conditions and the reduction in road noise is massive. They are also much more comfortable and make the 5 series an awesome long distance tourer. Can't give an accurate opinion on wear yet but couldn't be any worse than other comparable models such as the Continentals or Michelins I was also considering. I think so highly of them I will in all likelihood buy the same again for my wifes 4 series when they need changing and also my SLK when I do a wheel upgrade. Strongly recommended.

Was in doubt if I should get these tires, always been driving with Nokian or Conti. Have Nokian on our SUV so wanted something that is good on wet roads as there’s mostly slush and wet after all the salting in the nordics. The tires are really good on wet and surprisingly good on snow, I was a bit in doubt after the first snow here, but after a trip in 5-10cm with fresh snow I didn’t feel the tires let me down as long as you keep speeds reasonable. Braking and accelerating on snow feels safe and comfortable, tires feel safe in corners and in general.

Very good tire, driven lots on German autobahn. High speed noise neglectable compared to normal highway speed. Handling and feedback excellent. Low noise and high comfort.

Wanted to find some all season runflats - these were the only ones I could find in my size. Got tired of changing wheels and my 19s on any kind of tire were annoyingly noisy at motorway speed.
These have been very good so far - though mild winters mean they've yet to be tested in snow and ice.

These tires have not scored that good in the tests I have read but I read various recommendations from owners, especially regarding driving dynamics. I was in urgent need for new winter tires (nail in one of the old) so the recommendations together with a good price made me take a chance. And man I am glad I did! For me these tires has been great. Not the best grip on hard acceleration or breaking, they are quite soft, but hey - these are winter tires. We have not had a hard winter this year (I live in Sweden) but during the weeks of snow and ice, the grip has been surprisingly good. Good handling over all and really, really silent. Fantastic in wet, I do many hours on high speed highways every week and have felt really secure even in heavy rain and high speed. So all in all, I can truly recommend these tires.

Just avoid these! Impossible to get in balance. Tires are not "round". Didn't even know that it would be possible for tires that are not even the cheapest on the market and has had decent reviews in test. I feel really fooled and am really disapppointed. Save your money and buy something better!
