I drive on the track with the Yokohama, which is significantly grippier in dry conditions, but it needs at least 60 degrees; below that, it's quite loud in everyday use and provides very poor feedback!

If u want tire for performence at all cost this is the tire you, but u have to be ready to sacrifce everything else in the face of comfort, ,fuel consumption and definetly wear. The tire is incredible and feels totally planted on the road, but if u drive fast the wear is very fast. Regardless i highly recomend.

Tires abilities are slightly masked by the fact this M3 has 4WD, and nannies. Comfort is a little harsh, but amplified by the suspension. Impressed with tracking in the wet.
Appalling tire. Lateral drag causing handling instability on G87 M2. Not good on high power cars. Wet grip bad. Tires presented at top of BC list. Not fit for purpose! Only did 100 miles then bough Michelin pilot sport 4s for BMW and the handling instability vanished,
There were 4 brand new PHI R tires fitted to my XKR when I bought it. In fairness, it's not a tire I would choose for a 510bhp RWD coupe, but you'd expect them to be at least passable in all conditions, and to give you a sense of security as long as you drive within your limits and those of the environment.
To be blunt, these tires are bl--dy dangerous in damp and cold conditions. I can barely use more than approx 25% throttle without the TCS light firing and the rear end squirming. The final straw for me, was going round a damp corner (6 degrees temp) at approx 20mph with no throttle applied, and feeling the back end starting to slide around. Consequently, all subsequent bends, corners and cambers were taken with extreme caution.
They currently have over 6.5mm of tread and are well scrubbed in.
In terms of the front end; well, it's passable in terms of comfort but turn-in is anything but sharp - and I don't trust the lateral grip whatsoever.
So if you're considering these as a good budget option on a larger wheel size, just DON'T. I wouldn't let a family member in my car (never mind let them drive) in the damp with these things on the rims. You are literally risking your life to save a few quid. I'd rather fit mid-range part worns for the same price!

Put these on the rear of my Jaguar 5.0 XKR and they have been utterly fantastic in every way, they've even worn well coming up for replacement at 18k miles.
These tires have been a pleasant surprise. Continental is, after all, synonymous with a guarantee of quality. The tire has excellent grip on both dry and wet asphalt, the feedback is very good, and they provide a good sense of confidence. The tires performed very well even on the track (although they are not trackday tires), with excellent grip up to 85 degrees before they start to slide. They are very easy to manage at the limit. On the road, you have a good feeling with the front axle, especially compared to the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S which were always a bit vague on turn-in.Tire wear and degradation are quite rapid. You need camber or the shoulder will degrade very quickly.
