I loved these tires when I first bought them, about 5 years ago. 2019 Subaru Ascent Touring. Back when we bought them, all-weather tires were not as common. They are amazing in the snow, I think minimally different than a dedicated snow tire would be on this car. Always seemed relatively quiet. About a year or two ago started noticing increased noise, especially at low speed. Now they have worn unevenly on the inside of all the tires and they're going to need replaced. Tread is still ok on the outsides but not on the inside. Mechanic told us he sees this a lot with these particular tires, which obviously are very popular so I'm sure there are a lot of data points. With the increased road noise and uneven wear I'm looking for a different tire this time.

The tires didn’t seem to last nearly as long as anticipated. 30,000 miles and at the last service they recommended replacing them for next season. I swap my wife’s car between Cooper winter and summer tires. Last fall I hadn’t swapped to the winter tires yet and an early snow storm left wet icy snow on the roads. My wife wasn’t able to make it out of town on the Cooper Endeavours. I’m
Not so sure I would buy them again.

Pirelli Ice Friction 245/50 R20 Jaguar I Pace 1,000 miles January 17, 2026
Excellent behavior in snow and ice with progressive traction and sliding. Traction in both longitudinal and transverse direction are good and predictable. Also solid in dry and wet conditions. Very quiet road noise. Doesn't wallow excessively under steering inputs. Unable to tell about wear rate yet, but that rarely is a limiting factor with Nordic Winter tires anyway.

Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 245/50 R20 Subaru Ascent Touring 2,300 miles December 19, 2024
I replaced the garbage tires fitted to the car from the factory. My past experience with Scorpions on other cars had me give these a try. So far, they seem very good in the rain, the handling seems good, braking is excellent. I bought these for their good reviews for snow driving, but I have no snow experience with them, and now, with a relocation to the desert out west, likely never will. I didn't give the tire a high "would buy again" rating because my requirements for tire performance are changing.

Had F1s on my previous iPace, these are quieter, and more refined, at the expense of absolute grip.

21,000 miles and 3 mm left BUT the front tires are now paying the price of spirited driving in warmer weather as i am tearing chunks out of the tread in the center of the tire.

may be the car (went from a 2020 model to a 2021 model) but i get 10% more range from these than the F1s

F1's probably wore a bit better

Grip is good but they have worn out on the outer top and side wall the tire is breaking up !
This is after just 20 K miles most in local town driving its 20 MPH here .
These tires are at the lower price range will look for something a lot better !

Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season 245/50 R20 Kia Motors Telluride 29 miles June 6, 2024
At 29,000 miles these tires were shot! And they have no mileage warranty. They were very prone to going flat by picking up debris like a magnet. I would not recommend this tire. There are far better tire options in this price range.

The worse wearing tires I have had in literally 50 years. Lasted 31 K- mi. over 4 years in winter and summer conditions. A rather expensive tire for a short life.

Where this data comes from

Owner ratings are submitted through the review form on this site, naming the tire, the size and the distance covered, and are checked by hand before publication. Test results come from independent published tire tests indexed by size, and label values from the EU EPREL database.

About the TR Score

The Tire Reviews Score rates each tire out of 10 using independent test results and the full body of owner reviews, so you can check a car-specific ranking against the wider evidence.

Who does the testing

Every test published as a Tire Reviews test is run by Jonathan Benson, who has been testing tires independently since 2007.
